Thank you so much!! I've been dealing with this issue for years!! I can't tell you how much time I have wasted trying to figure this issue out. I watched you video and it was fixed in 30 seconds!!
Hey Rick T, you're welcome! I'm glad the video helped you optimize the speed on your older Linksys router. It's great to hear that adjusting the setting made a noticeable difference. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out. Keep enjoying your fast and reliable internet connection! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
This just saved me from thinking I had an old outdate router and kept me from spending another $300 on a new one. Thank you and what a joke that setting is. I had nothing prioritized but it was still limiting my wifi speed. turned it off and gained 200 mbps
thank you so much, that was exactly my problem. Have 400 Mbps but was only seeing 200 when not bypassing the router. Disabling the prioritization fixed the issue
You guys are stuck with Linksys regular router. All you need is TP-Link Deco AXE5400 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Mesh System. Don't suffer. This mesh system is amazing.
I got Linksys AX3000 Have the same issue. From 400mbps, I only got 5~20mbps. On Linksys ax3000 router “Device Priority” does not exist. What could be the cause of this?
My problem is not with internet speeds, but with RTMP transmission to another PC on the same network. It can't maintain 2500kb/s reliably -- I had to lower the speed to blocky pixellated bitrates to maintain an OBS stream to an nginx computer server. Large file transfers over the network are speedy---about 90mbytes per second. But RTMP can't maintain a modest throughput.
I recently set up media prioritization and then bought a new motherboard. I've been going nuts trying to figure out why my speeds are only 160Mb up and down! I just removed the prioritization and voila! back to my typical 700 down 900 up....
Hi @SuperJ213, it seems like the media prioritization setting was limiting your speeds. It's designed to allocate bandwidth to specific applications or devices, but sometimes it can inadvertently throttle your overall speed. Glad you were able to identify and resolve the issue! If you have any other concerns or need further assistance with your Linksys router, feel free to ask. Enjoy your lightning-fast internet speeds!"

still fixing the issues in 2024, thanks for your help dude
Dude, THANK YOU! I've been struggling with barely 100 for a 200 speed I'm paying. After following your tip here, I'm fully taking the 200.
Dude, thank you! I have an older Linksys, but it did have this setting and it worked like a champ.

WOW! Jumped from 20 Mbps to 420 Mbps! Thank you so much!!!
Helped so much! I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this information! We've been struggling with slow internet speeds for two months. Fixed my MR9000 & Velop AC2200 node.
Worked for my AC3000. Even with the mbps dialed all they way up to 500 mbps on prioritization, it throttled me down to 100 mbps. Thanks.

Thank you so much!!! This has been an pain point for so long!!!
This helped me. Thank you.
Damn that was useful! Worked for me after weeks of issues
Appreciate this video. I could not find the instructions on how to get to this configuration anywhere.
Thanks so much, this worked for me !
Worked on my EA2700 ethernet port also. Thank you.
Thanks man this worked for me just fine I’m over 400mb/s now and before was 180mb/s

This was my problem as well. What a stupid feature for Linksys to include if it throttles your bandwidth down so much.
u r awsome!!

Im happy to tell everyone how to do it if you have a telstra smart modem
Sounds great

I am trying to see whether it’s possible on my Optus modem. I’m using VDSL
Does the work for linksys lapac1200 extender?
Jesus Christ man thank you 🙏🏼!!!!

My internet went from 100mbp to 400 WTF
