Heard this in 1992, 1998 and 2002 - One of their best themes. - Unfortunately MS Électrical Parade was not on when we where there in 2018. I was missing it
goddamnnit, this brings back the feels.. i wish i was there right now as a kid waving around one of those sticks with plastic strings on the end wich have lights in them.. i seriously want to go back there
The glowsticks that linked together!! Me and my sister were always bought 2 and given a necklace to wear. As kids we were told so we didn't accidentally hit anyone waving them around, but as an adult I having your kids be the only ones wearing glow-in-the-dark collars would make them easier to spot in a crowd 😅
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Disneyland Paris proudly presents Our spectacular festival pageant Of nighttime magic and imagination In thousands of sparkling lights And electro-syntho-magnetic musical sounds, The Main Street Electrical Parade!
Only on this version of the soundtrack will you hear the proper version of the main Baroque Hoedown track with its heavy staccatos and the flailing swoops during the bridge of the song.

Interesting how they turned something that is actually a collection of individual synchronized music loops (wayside speakers, floats, intro, outro) into a single mix. In the parade all that mixing just happens due to the floats passing by. The technical systems behind the music are probably the most complex ever used for a theme park parade.

Actually it pisses me a bit off. The french people always wont translate something into english or dont want to speak english... this sucks, I only can speak english or german, and when i wana visit disneyland paris ( and i will) i wont understand anything...
Thats helps me a lot. A friend told me its true they mostly only speak french, like in the Star Wars simulator, i wouldnt understand anything. But if there are translators, that sounds great.
.....you know they have translations right on most maps and signs right? Like they know the majority of footfall is English speakers besides French speakers. Or you know if it really bothered you, just *learn* the language.
I don't really expect anyone to speak anything other than their native tongue, but Paris IS the outlier here, and it's rather strange that they (of all of the parks) are. Disney didn't translate this into Japanese, Cantonese, or Mandarin for the other foreign parks, even though those countries are far less interconnected with their neighbors than France. If anything, I would think that Paris would be the park MOST likely to translate stuff into other languages. Hell, even here in Disney's home country, pretty much everything printed and most announcements at the original park are in both English and Spanish. Disney World doesn't do that as much because Florida doesn't have the same problem with (shall we say) uninvited visitors that California does, but they still offer all of their printed material in the most commonly spoken languages because they get guests from all over the world.
I' m actually crying to hear this, I can see the parade and feel the thrill I had when I was a 5 year old kid back in 1998
Totally agree with u
omg same, when my parents took me and my sister there

The snail and firefly in the background: *making random snail and firefly noises almost throughout the whole video*
And by the way, can you do a video on all the sounds for the snail and firefly?
The opening announcements were in French except for the title of the parade, which remained in English.
i could do english translation
