Probably one of the most beautiful intros ever for a Disney parade.

I personally liked the original Electrical Light Parade opening better, but that is more just nostalgia for me. This is still an excellent callback to that opening, and what follows is an absolute banger.
I was working at Disneyland during the 60th, and I was the guy that would stand at the two doors that would enter Fortuosity (We had to keep them closed for Fireworks and parades).
So I was able to watch the Parade almost every night.
I will say that I NEVER got tired of listen/watching the this. It was always such a blast! Same with the Fireworks.
It also was such a delight when guests would come up to me and tell me how much they love the music or even to just wave at me.
Things that may seem small to you mean so much to others.

im 30 and watching THIS specific parade always made me happy and yeah there were tears here and there. - I could watch it every night.
I was a pass holder and paint the night was always a must watch. This soundtrack brings me such joy!

Something tells me that almost everyone who goes to a Disney park thinks this exact same thing... it's certainly what I thought when I was at Disneyland for their 60th. Three of the happiest days of my life.

Fun Fact: Paint The Night parade is a parade which premiered at Hong Kong Disneyland and it is a spiritual successor of the Main Street Electrical Parade. ( From Wiki )

And Happily Ever After the Song too. I wish that they would’ve moved Happily Ever After to HKDL for a while when MK has the new 50th show but I guess they’re doing something else.

This reimagined version of what used to be The Main Street Electrical Parade, was composed by none other than Adam Young of Owl City. That’s why it sounds so good.
Also the authors of the song here used "When I Can See You Again"
The greatest summer of my life lives in this song. I drove Donald Duck in this parade and every time I hear it, it's 2015 again.

I love the nods to Baroque Hoedown. Disney really know how to tug at our heartstrings. As someone who saw the original 1972 version as a tiny whelp, I am actually kinda grateful for that this time!

This entire song bring some much memories. I was still in high school, and i had the annual pass. My high school was just down from the both Disney park. After high school, I would go to Disneyland with my family. I believe I went about +70% of the time. Going on California Screamin’ and Grizzly River Run multiple times. Finally, around 8:00pm, Paint the Night would play. I enjoyed every single part of it, especially the Cars parts. Seeing Lightning McQueen and Mack with Neon Light on the truck was so immaculate. My family would stay until midnight to watch it all over again in order for all the equipment would go backstage and start over for the next day. Then I remember paint the night went to California Adventure for a bit. This parade will always be special to me, and I hope I get to see it again in the future, like how they did with the electrical parade.

I'm an OG Disneyland fan and grew up watching The Main Street Electrical Parade. When I heard about this new "light parade" for the 60th Anniversary I was skeptical. I was there opening night of the parade a cried when I heard how they included "Baroque Hoedown" in the new music, from then on I was hooked!! I love Paint The Night!

i hope to be able to see this again,,, i remember the first time seeing the parade, i genuinely couldn't stop smiling, the music filled all of Main Street with the best kind of energy.

Here's the confirmed 2025 changes:
1. The opening dialogue will be "To all who come to this happy place, Disneyland proudly presents...!"
2. Since "zip a dee doo dah" will most likely be removed, "when you wish upon a star" should now finish the lyrics by extending it or put a different song in between.
3. I don't know what new or returning floats will be but please let me know if it does.

You don't have to miss the parade for long. Disney just announced the parade will be retuning to its new home in California Adventure.

I flew here from Chicago for a band trip in the end of my senior year in 2018 and this was the one thing i never expected from Disneyland. Everything was so surreal and magical that i was blown away from the entire performance and i was so glad i was able to be apart of the experience after finding out it was a limited event. (Also why did California Screamin' have to close down for Pixar theming on the ONE time i get to come here?? That coaster was on my bucket list for years!)
This parade needs to come back to Disneyland. I’ve never heard a crowd that loud before at Disneyland…especially for a parade. I watched the hell out of UA-cam videos of this parade after seeing it in the park and when I was little.

I can’t understand why Disney doesn’t release park BGM and parade music on CD or iTunes. There are a LOT of Disney fans who can’t get to the parks very often, who would pay to have this music in a high bit rate.
They released the main Street electrical Parade on a CD couple years ago although it's the California adventure version
Disney has been lacking with releasing their soundtracks recently and updating them. I remember back then, they used to always release all of the new show soundtrakcs like tokyo Disneyland right now.

I’m going to Disneyland for the first time soon and I wish this parade was still around. I LOVE the original Owl City song so I know I would’ve loved it.
No one asked the mixer to go this hard but I love that they did. Still sad imagineering made it so wdw cannot have this parade.
Normally, when I'm at Disneyland, I'm like, "Get this stupid parade out of my face, and stop blocking the midway." But, like the original Electrical Parade, this one was amazing. I think it's the only parade I've intentionally watched multiple times. As they say, "When can we do this again?"
