David, would love to hear where you are now!!! I started the program with 64 on the test in and I am going for 110 today, my current PR being 105, just under 3 months later. Love the video Max, huge help to bridge the gap!
Thanks Richard! Fantastic progress for you in 3 months. Congratulations. And good luck with the 110 today. Always brutal workouts. I made it to 122 seals last week but my 6 counts are fairly static at 257. Need to hit that 275. Marathon training got in the way but I'm certain as seals and 6 counts kept me injury free. Go smash it! Let me know how you do
Thanks Max hit 112 today with your help working out to this video! My pb, since I started this mid-March this year, and i managed to hit 100 6 counts in 10 minutes straight after 💪💪💪thanks for the inspiration👍👊
I hit my plateau for my previous 3 weeks at 100-102 seals. What I was previously doing was going without proper pacing. Usually burning out at around rep#60, from there I was resting for too long up to my 20min mark. I started doing this follow along video and got to 110 easy! Thank you!
Thanks so much, Max. Epic vid. I have, however, failed it twice. I did come 15th in my first ever ultramarathon in between though. I will get there. Level 4 calls. Will update when I hit it. Stay strong. Keep inspiring my friend!
Finally made this all the way through, and actually hit 112. Was able to maintain an add'l count of 2-4 more reps all the way through until 60. This helped me take three incremental longer breaks for video to catchup to my count. Then I maintained 2 more reps the rest of the way through to reach 112. Next step if level 4, that I expect will take months.
I love in the Netherlands and am training 3-4 times per week in an excellent cross-fit gym where the group workouts are about quality rather than quality. But I am also going to add my own workouts 2x per week where I’m going to start building up your navy seal burpees. Mindset is my biggest issue. Because last Saturday, our instructor threw into the WOD(workout of the day) a 30 minute non-stop burpees. At the bevinding I was terrified, but worked through it but as I reached the last 5 minutes, I indeed was able to push harder. But my question is, how do I adopt that belief right from the beginning? And how should I best incorporate your sets within my weekly regime? Because my trainer advises we should take rest days too?
Hey Frederick! The belief and conviction come with experience. If you train burpees twice per week, it won't be long before you build the grit to get through a workout that would have seemed impossible before. I advocate at least two rest days per week. On weeks where you are only hitting your cross fit gym three times, that would leave two burpee windows.
@@fredericklane745 that would work! You could also try performing them before your cross fit sessions and see if they slow you down. If they don't, go for it!
Hi. I have been doing busy dad workouts for about 6 months. I’m up to 111 navy seals in 20 minutes. Got to 111 for my 60th birthday! Seems like getting to 120 will be quite difficult. I follow your 110 pace, and the slower minutes feel almost like a rest, but no way could I maintain 6/minute for the entire 20 minutes. I sneak in an extra rep at the end to get to 111. I suppose I could sneak another extra rep at the beginning, but that’s about it. Any suggestions? Ben
Good question -- and superb work!! Impressive for any age! I'm going to start working with practitioners one-one, so if you wanted we could discuss further in that context. For now, my advice would be to focus on getting to 112. Put 120 out of your mind (in the same way that I put 150 out of my mind).
As always, awesome video. Hit my 80 seals again today and filmed it. First video, only going to get better from here! ua-cam.com/video/FGH7Ia0uHi8/v-deo.html
These " in-between " follow alongs are much appreciated.👏
FINALLY!!!
Just got there. 110. Success!
Up from 80 reps max 4 weeks ago.
Couldn't have done it without the vids and the shout-out.
Truly thanks Max!

This is just the video I have been in need of! I can’t believe I didn’t see it until now! Thank you, Max!

Superb!! Onwards!
I love this format!

That's superb, my man!!!! Keep cautiously building, one rep at a time, to 120. It makes a huge difference to use a more even paced method with seals

Excellent work! You're close!!
Yet another really useful follow video, thanks. Got through at first attempt, just need my 6 counts to catch up now 😬
Excellent work!
Excellent work mate! Can you point me in the direction of your grading system video please? I’m intrigued, many thanks.
Another great channel to subscribe! Fantastic work!
110 unbroken for the first time tonight Max. Half way on the jump to level 4 👍
That's very impressive, my friend.
success! thank you very much
Hard work as always
How come your biceps are so chiseled, is it also burpees only?

@@busydadtraining Thanks, but not perform the burpees for example before my x-fit session? Then I get those burpee days to rest?

Damn, just missed it. Completed at 20:57, needed a couple 20 sec rest earlier in the program.
Wondering if the BDP rubbed off on any of your university students while you were instructing?
I kept the two largely separate, but i did have one or two converts!
