"he doesn't have an int problem" takes like this from Skip, Dan and Max are reasons why "new media" is going excel especially from total views standpoint
Makes u appreciate how much Mahomes has evolved compared to Allen. Allen relies on his physical skills too much. He doesn’t make the right qb reads, gets the ball out late, and tries to make splash plays all the time. Joe Brady as offensive coordinator isn’t going to play out well also. He’s pass heavy also which is why he got fired.
Mahomes has had night and day better coaching around him to cover up his flaws and push him toward better habits. He’s also had all timers to pass the ball to in his career like Kelce and Hill. I love Stefon Diggs but he hasn’t been proven to be anywhere near as good as those two.
Dan is exactly right. The problem is he's trying to give situational analysis (HE PLAYED THE POSITION) vs. feeding into a group thinking lazy narrative.
@travisjohnson9066 The problem with expert analysis is ( you said he played the position), there is a video by Kurt Warner absolving Ken Dorsey and in this video this dummy is criticizing the game plan. Not sure who the better expert would be. Another instance of Dan's stubborn spin job was when he defended Wentz's several bad plays when he was with the Eagles.
I will defend Dan on the fact he did dissect Daks interceptions and which ones were on him and which weren't to be be fair to Dak. I remember watching it.
He's had a turnover problem his whole career. It's just that this year they have less talent on offense and the defense is injured, so the problems are magnified
I cannot listen to pundits like RG3, Dan Orlovski, Brady Quinn, Mark Sanchez, whoever. If you were a mediocre quarterback when you played stop trying to convince viewers or fans with your evaluations of other qbs if you really know nothing about what you are talking about.
As a Bills' fan who has sat through Trent Edwards, EJ Manuel, Rob Johnson etc - Josh is the best thing to happen to this franchise since Jim Kelly, and we're sitting here complaining being 5-5 as if the world is ending then I think we got it good. I would have killed to be 5-5 back with those other QBs
Same. He is an elite QB but they may miss the play offs because the AFC has tightened up. I’m fine either way I just don’t want Diggs to go. They seriously need to center more plays around him to keep him happy.
Yes I agree with you 💯... But how many championships did Jim Kelly got you guys?? Plus if Allen is being compare to these other young quarterback, then they have to criticize him...Mahome have 2 super bowl 🏈 rings with an average defense
Yes Allen has a turnover problem and yes he's still one of the best QBs in the league which will result in year after year of the Bills getting bounced in the playoffs.
Before the Denver game Allen and Mahomes had the same amount of interceptions. Does Mahomes have an interception problem also? I would say no. Those interceptions he threw long down the field was giving your wr a chance to make a play. Somebody like Jefferson, Chase, Adam’s even WR wilson on the jets prolly make those plays.
As a chiefs fans I do think mahomes has an int problem this season, he is getting easily frustrated and starts pressing when he doesn't need to. He isn't showing the patience that he was playing with last year
His point is that they dont talk about mahomes turnover problem this year but they do Allen's. But thats what happens when you win. The chiefs are 2nd in the league this year and the Bills are 17th. Win and the critics shut up
@@jamesperry3818Allen’s gone toe to toe with Mahomes on the biggest stage in playoffs. Allen has 17 TD/ 4 INT and 99 passer rating in the playoffs. Mahomes wouldn’t look or be viewed nearly the same if he hadn’t won the lottery falling to the Chiefs and arguably the best offensive mind in NFL history Andy Reid. Chiefs were already an AFC powerhouse with 4 double digit Division Championships with Alex Smith. Smith had the #1 passer rating in the NFL in that system. Allen is every bit as talented as Mahomes.

I remember when Dano said Mahomes was broken in two years ago. Now he's riding Allen harder than Bills fans. You won't be a hater if you say the Bills are losing because of Allen's turnovers. You'll just be telling the truth
The #1 job for a QB is to win games not necessarily score points Josh Allen is a turnover machine and is costing his team I don’t get how Dan played QB in this league for that long
Yes Dan, the QBs number one job is to score points to win games, but if he's busy throwing picks at the most crucial points of games, he's directly sabotaging that objective. A good defense could neutralize the effects of these picks by limiting the points the other team scores as a direct result of these turnovers, but with a hobbled defense, these interceptions are going to directly result in losses.
The problem with Allen’s turnovers that pretty much everyone is just overlooking is the critical time that he chooses to commit them. Bills easily could be 7-3 or 8-2 without terrible back breaking int for no reason from Josh this year. It’s less about the amount, more of when he’s committing them that’s really messing with bills chances.
I’m 20 years old and I’m aware of Dan tenure with Detroit when they had the first ever winless season but people my age most know him for being Peyton Mannings backup QB in Indianapolis 😂
Allen has a turnover problem but with that being said he has done enough for this team to be 8-2 if the Bills defense could hold the jets, Pats and Broncos the final 2 minutes, everyone can talk about the bIlls injuries but then final 2 mins they let Zach Wilson look like rodgers and Mac Jones look like Brady and Russell Wilson look like the Seattle Wilson is just terrible
You realize those losses to the jets and broncos are because of the turnovers not the defense. When you give the other team the ball 4 times in each game that’s not the defense fault
They lost to the Jets BECAUSE of Josh Allen. He had 4 turnovers. They scored 16 points. He had 3 turnovers (including another muffed handoff) against Denver. You can say the Pats loss is on the defense for failing to get a stop in that final drive. The one guy who can say he's losing even though he's balling out because the defense is terrible is Hebert. You put up 38 pts and still lose, you can use that excuse. You cannot when you put up 16 and one guy picks you off 3 times himself. You cannot when you're muffing handoffs. It isn't just the INTs how many fumbles has Josh has?
Josh has no business playing hero ball and throwing picks when going up against Zach Wilson Max Jones and Russ. Make it make sense. Okay mistake free, conservative football and you easily win those games.

This a dumb take by him but lets not sit here and act like backup QBs dont have ball knowledge. Nfl has a bunch of head coaches that were backup qbs

Dan “i dont criticize players” Orlovski
The football JJ Redick
QBs. Dan doesn't criticize QBs because he's loyal to the position he used to play.
He’s pass heavy also which is why he got fired.
we will see
Mahomes has had night and day better coaching around him to cover up his flaws and push him toward better habits.
This is why Dan was a backup mane! 😂😂😂
He played In the league..
He's had a turnover problem his whole career. It's just that this year they have less talent on offense and the defense is injured, so the problems are magnified
there is a reason Dan Orlovsky has been sitting on tv for years and not playing QB in the NFL.
Yeah being in his forties.
I cannot listen to pundits like RG3, Dan Orlovski, Brady Quinn, Mark Sanchez, whoever. If you were a mediocre quarterback when you played stop trying to convince viewers or fans with your evaluations of other qbs if you really know nothing about what you are talking about.
All you need to know is Dan put Carson Wentz ahead of Rodgers in 2020 when he won MVP. It’s hard to take him serious
And he ran into his own end zone
And said Justin Fields had a chance to win MVP this season
As a Bills' fan who has sat through Trent Edwards, EJ Manuel, Rob Johnson etc - Josh is the best thing to happen to this franchise since Jim Kelly, and we're sitting here complaining being 5-5 as if the world is ending then I think we got it good. I would have killed to be 5-5 back with those other QBs
Same. He is an elite QB but they may miss the play offs because the AFC has tightened up. I’m fine either way I just don’t want Diggs to go. They seriously need to center more plays around him to keep him happy.
EJ Manuel… wooooooh 😭🫡
dont forget JP Losman
Yes I agree with you 💯... But how many championships did Jim Kelly got you guys?? Plus if Allen is being compare to these other young quarterback, then they have to criticize him...Mahome have 2 super bowl 🏈 rings with an average defense
The lofty expectations for Josh only exist because he has played so well@@Henry18845

This dude ran out of the back of the endzone and gave his team a safety. Why are we listening to him talk about QB's
Yes Allen has a turnover problem and yes he's still one of the best QBs in the league which will result in year after year of the Bills getting bounced in the playoffs.
Allen is Good, capital G 7/10 but he's just not elite. It's okay to say that
Allen is potent....not necessarily that good.
Burrow is actually good.
People like Todd McShay, Jalen Rose, Mark Jackson, etc are gone, and Dan Orlovsky is still there....Keep up the good work ESPN.
Never put Allen and mahomes in the same sentence!
Win and the critics shut up
@@gowancolley7619that’s what got the bills in this position they were winning with the turnovers and never fixed now they are losing because of

Dan, c’mon man. they’re not 5 and 5 because they’re a bad team, it’s CLEARLY because of the turnovers and mistakes. be serious

I remember when Dano said Mahomes was broken in two years ago. Now he's riding Allen harder than Bills fans. You won't be a hater if you say the Bills are losing because of Allen's turnovers. You'll just be telling the truth
The #1 job for a QB is to win games not necessarily score points Josh Allen is a turnover machine and is costing his team I don’t get how Dan played QB in this league for that long
He was a terrible quarterback! His stats back that up. He was the quarterback for the only ever 0-16 team.

@@juiceloose2462That’s not an argument 🤣 just say you have no rebuttal.
Josh Allen is Jameis Winston disguised as Brett Favre
Hahaha this is so true 😂😂😂😂
Yes Dan, the QBs number one job is to score points to win games, but if he's busy throwing picks at the most crucial points of games, he's directly sabotaging that objective. A good defense could neutralize the effects of these picks by limiting the points the other team scores as a direct result of these turnovers, but with a hobbled defense, these interceptions are going to directly result in losses.
I never understood how y’all really think this man who ran out the back of the end zone really knows how to be NFL Qb .
Dan is a hypocrite. Why doesn’t he keep the same energy with other QBs
Remember, this guy that's defending Josh Allen is the same guy who was garbage beyond garbage as a quarterback.
Yuppp
I’m 20 years old and I’m aware of Dan tenure with Detroit when they had the first ever winless season but people my age most know him for being Peyton Mannings backup QB in Indianapolis 😂

Dan: Define turnover?
and THAT is precisely what's wrong with this segment. zero context. maybe football is too complex for some people to follow and understand.

Good Stuff Dan I only tune in this show cause of u , keep doin ya thing brodie u know ball
They shouldve lost to the Giants
You realize those losses to the jets and broncos are because of the turnovers not the defense. When you give the other team the ball 4 times in each game that’s not the defense fault
Bills are two penalties and Chris Godwin turning around away from being 3-7.
