However, even on trade league, considering how bad those map seller busy with their end game contents and ignore your offer, I would say using chisel from T9+ will be good when you start concerning atlas completion bonus.
You generally only need a base of about 15-20 well-rolled maps to be able to sustain, only buying more if your luck is on a down spike. T15s should be getting rolled to +90% quantity and +25% pack size at a minimum, anything less is wasting the map. Vaal Orb is also highly recommended unless there are many map modifiers that would render the map uncompleteable for your build(Reflect, No Regen, No Leech, etc..). Ideally you have options for dealing with these nasty mods because they can lead to extremely lucrative +130% item quantity and +30% pack size maps. I'd also recommend throwing in sacrifice fragments you have for up to an extra +15% quantity per map, although it's up to you if you wish to buy more of those once you run out. Finally, adding Zana's Bloodlines or Beyond mods are probably the best options to add more monsters to the map for more map drops. If you have access to the Elder Orb, you can turn a white map into a Tier 16 one, allowing you to place cheap white sextants around it and getting drastically increased pack size. See EE's other video on sextants for more info. Doing all this will make it possibly to sustain super high-tier maps given enough time. You may have some bad luck slumps but if you roll the maps with sufficient quantity and pack size you will eventually sustain and may be able to sell off excess.
Map reshuffling is really bad for SFF. I hope they do something about making it easier to get the maps in SSF needed for Master Daily missions and the Shaper / Elder. It is very hard to make progress when the map pool is invalidated every 3 months, unless you play a huge amount. GGG really need to do something about this thoughtless change.
Damn this game is complicated! My main char is level 74, and i have problems doing tier 1 maps.... I’m following a build guide, but gearing is kind of complicated.... there must be things I’m doing the wrong way. My IQ is probably too low... i’m gonna go back to Diablo...
These videos are too high level for new players. You blaze through terms and shit way to quickly. Good videos, just difficult for new players to grasp.

Week in the League or so I start to use Chance orbs to craft tier 1-5 maps. It's same as Transmutation orb, but you have a chance to make map rare.
Thats a good strategy as well if you are ok with the map being magic

Why do we make maps in this game? To get rare items? Still don't get the objectives of this game...
to get rare items and to get more maps to push farther into the atlas and ultimately kill Shaper/Elder/Uber Elder
