Man, I actually felt bad for Chrissie. She was a victim of circumstances, someone who was made out to be a vile, vindictive witch and a cold blooded killer when in fact she had no intentions of killing Den. Had she just fessed up from the beginning she would have avoided the wrath of the Mitchells, Kat, Dennis, Sharon etc. and possibly even a light manslaughter sentence.
It was self-defense in fairness. He attacked her and there were witnesses. When he came around, he looked like he was going to finish the job, so yea, she should have confessed.
Peggy and Pat were great. Also Frank. I hope Dan Sullivan makes a come back to spice it up a bit in 2019. Be nice to see Dan surprise Phil and Mel. Be a Duff Duff moment.

Bravura performances by both Tracy Ann-Obermann and the late Barbara Windsor. This was clearly iconic and deserving of the doof doof.

Yup. Angie was golden in many ways but in an intellectual sphere Chrissie was more than Den.’s equal. I don’t think he ever really knew who he was messing with and what he’d ultimately gotten himself in for.
I actually think Eastenders started losing its way as early as 2002 (I think 4 episodes a week were too many and made it saturated) but it was still good until 2004 when I stopped watching for a few months. Around late 2004 and 2005 it got better, still not as good as the late 80s and 90s but enjoyable. This is testament to that. In 2006 I stopped altogether. I've heard its had good periods since but couldn't get into it.
Serves chrissie right but im surprised peggy defended Den as she never really seen him much between his appearances from 2003-2005 as she wasn't really in eastenders for all of 2004 as she only returned for Sam's wedding
They completely ruined her during her last few months in the show and made her a complete parody of herself. She ended up as a result with a terrible exit that was so unbeffiting to a character who had been in the show since the beginning and was a central part in the longest running family in the show who the original episodes revolved around. She really should have gotten the exit that Pat got.
