Same here I'm 32 now and my god I've just been watching older clips it was so good back then story lines, characters.. I haven't watched it for yonks and I've seen newer clips and it just looks terrible they should have stopped airing eastenders a long time ago. Miss the good old days x
@@emilybreese9250 The last good era was when Dierdrick Santer was the producer. When he left after the ‘Who Killed Archie’ storyline in 2010, the show went into a slow decline and has never recovered. But we’re the same age funny enough & we definitely had the best era growing up no doubt. The Matthew Robinson & John Yorke era of 1998-2003 was peak years. I remember EVERYONE watched it then. Everyone in school was talking about it. Steve & Matthew trying to get away with murder. Grant leaving driving into the Thames Pat & Franks affair “You ain’t my mother” Who shot Phil. Trevor & little mo Steve dying in the car explosion Dirty dens return. Those years it was banger after banger storylines. Miss those days loads.

The way Sharon speaks is so camp.
I love it.
I thought it was just me who thought that. Something very Mae West about her 😂
@@kaysmith8992The way she delivers those lines is just brilliant
She was much more in her prime then than she is now.
And this is why Sharon is iconic.
No one has a better Duff Duff face than Sharon Watts.
Sorry but iconic? She’s one of the most irritating characters the show ever had.

When Eastenders was must see tv.
Before social media and streaming entertainment, there were few options. That's why the soaps had much bigger audiences back then.
@@DeepScreenAnalysis you are right...i dont think the soaps will last another 10 years

"Too late Peggy, contract signed." 😁
