That’s exactly what I thought. I got mindfucked when this new woman showed up in 2009. I never remembered her before. I always thought Kim even looked like a Sam. She plays the part more naturally. Her and Danniella are both the same age and guess who looks 20 years older 🤢

I have never understood why they recast Daniella Westbrook, she couldn't follow Kim Medcalfe.
westbrook was the original Sam and they brought her back because she's worked with the actors for Ricky and Bianca before.
I know that, but that doesn't really justify switching between the actresses or recasting for an inferior actress

One of the greatest and biggest mistakes ever made re-recasting Sam Mitchell back to Danniella Westbrook. EE should come to their senses and either come with a storyline having both DW and Kim Medcalf’s Sam’s together, establish lots of flashbacks, a dream sequence of the last 20 years or kill her off altogether after many painful years I don’t see another way back and they should wrap up the death of Dirty Den properly. Anyone agree? Which of these storyline ideas do you like the best?

Danniella Westbrook couldn't even move her face properly after all the damage to her face from drugs, so she's now just another talentless celeb, in with others such as Victoria Beckham, selling dumb stories and appearing on the Daily Mail sidebar. I'm surprised she hasn't released a perfume somebody else made to call herself a top business person, for all the idiots who like the trash that the celeb industry tell them too.
I was thinking about Sam Mitchell the other night and how they should have brought her back with Kim Medcalf playing her. Maybe Kim isn't interested, but she would have done a much better job than Daniella. It's just more exciting for the press for trainwreck Daniella Westbrook to be back on the show. I hope they see sense in the future!

It was sad at the time because she thought by digging him up it would prove Chrissie murdered him because Chrissie was the owner of the pub. But it just implicated Sam and she didn’t expect that. It still doesn’t make sense to this day. So the police just accepted that Sam killed and buried him under the concrete without Chrissie knowing anything at all?😂 weird

Kim was way better! Daniella coming back as her in 2009 was just another Roxy :S Sam was always more brainy than tarty I think they forgot that when bringing Daniella back!! I think they tried to get the second Sam back but she didn't want to return so they had to get the original. A lot of people watching will regard the second Sam as Sam as the first one was originally in it a long time ago. I personally think they come across as completely different characters.

Based on what I've heard mostly everyone wants Kim back as Sam and I couldn't agree more she's the only Sam Mitchell I've ever known and loved. When EastEnders brought Danniella back her returned I remember it caused controversey and was a big risk but I agree that Danniella was an awfull actress because she has come and gone too many times and it's messed about. Bring Kim back.

Yeah, 9 almost 10 years. That's the thing, i don't mind being behind because i never have to wait for a new episode/season. Well, i do have to wait every sunday lol. They used to have Eastenders from 1985 86 87 etc uploaded and i was watching year 85, but then they got taken down : ( I wanted to start from the very beginning. The two Sams are like Donna Reed and Barbara Bel Geddes from Dallas except in reverse. The real Ellie Ewing was the one played by the original actress. However in EastEnders the real Sam Mitchell is the one played by the second actress.
