- How To Prepare & Cook Bull Mountain Oysters! Southern Fried Mountain Oysters!
If you don’t know what mountain oysters are.. you can either watch the video, or google it! These are from a bunch of cows we cut making steers in Kansas. This is the first time I had Mountain oysters, and of course we fried them! To me, they tasted like chicken nuggets!
Preciate y’all! - Розваги
I grew up on a farm in South Dakota. I am 66 years old and it does my heart good to see a young country woman who can prepare and cook catfish and mountain oysters. I have nothing but respect for you Hannah. Thank you for sharing!
Thought I would give you a shout. Evidently we share the same name and age. Bill Stewart from Hancock County, Ky.
You should dip them in colored sprinkles, ,, that would be pretty nuts!!
Pretty nuts, haha good one.
Nice 😂
Brah that was hilarious. 🤙🤙🤙aloha.
Nicely done
Well played sir
Hello from Navajo Rez lol At a very young age I was taught everything about livestock. Cattle, horses, sheep, all of it. My 4 year old baby daughter - freaked out when she watched me butcher a sheep. She didn’t talk to me a whole day LOL. But after we ate mutton and fry bread. She finally came around and hugged me. Timeless and Precious.
What other men watching this has their legs crossed...
No way, I'll be going hungry tonight if that was there was all to eat for dinner. Thanks for sharing your life and times with us that watch your channel. Outstanding balance of harmony and peace in the life of a young lady.
@alan sullivan ,you are correct sir. Thanks so sharing your thoughts.
They are not from a month or two old calfs
I'm from the Central Texas region, and remember as a kid, I'm now 47, you could go into a steak house and get these as an appetizer from the menu. My dad and I, God rest his soul, used to always get a plate of these and share them. We would dip them in the country gravy. " 'Preciate Ya'll"
I love it pops be watching out for his baby girl ! he said honey don’t get burnt you want me to do that ! sounds like what I would say
The VFW back in Cheyenne, Wy, used to have Rocky Mountain Oyster fries all the time during calving season...brings back lots of good memories 👍👍👍👍
Southerners eating anything they catch, listening to BG country music. Hanging out with the simple life. Good folks
and Repairing Ford trucks
No WE don't. lol
@Bob Sacamano I have seen a few numbers on a bathroom stall if you get in a bind. Kidding!
If you roast them on coals and douse them in extra-spicy hot sauce they can literally be great balls of fire.
I have eaten them on many occasions and just love them. Here in southern Kansas you will hear them called, mountain oysters, cowboy caviar, lamb fries, and more. Many restaurants have them on their menu, occasionally churches have them served as main course on their fundraisers.
I use gallon size ziplock bag to batter my stuff. Toss in you flour and seasoning and meat. Then zip it shut and roll it around until everything is coated, and it doesnt take long at all. Its much faster than rolling each piece of meat by itself.... Hannah you are great :)
In Wyoming we call it the original sack lunch.
Lolz
@Bob Sacamanolol no they just shrivel up. Witch helps in the healing.
Ok thank
A subtle hint to the boy that breaks her heart, here’s your warning🤣
Any guy that would break Hannah Barron heart got to be a dumbass
You don't get two !
Yeah
Yes indeed it is
Haha Lorena Bobbitt v2!! 😆 🤣
She blushed talking bout them lol . You go girl . Good eating right there .
That is one of my most favorite cuts of beef! My Daddy was a butcher and my Mama show new how to cook’em. Thanks Y’all!
I'm not going to lie I went strait to the comment section first. Lol!!😂😂
Lmao. Me to
Yeah and I stayed here.
My family has been ranching for 120 years in West Texas. After every spring branding we have what we call calf fries. They are the best. Battered and deep fried. You go girl!
We do the same thing here in Indiana..There's nothing better than deep fried calf balls, with fried morels, and sauteed fiddle heads..
@Bob Sacamano I have an issue with some textures.. I can't do slimy foods like raw oysters or undercooked egg whites.. They trigger my gag reflex.. I don't care for chittlens, or pickled eggs much either, but I can eat them if I have to..
@Bob Sacamano My grandad loved them.. He raised Duroc hogs when I was a kid.. I have a very vivid memory of him cleaning intestines out to make chittlens.. I can't imagine the stench that must processing plant must emit..
@Bob Sacamano I worked as a millwright for almost 10 years after I graduated high school.. I could tell you some horror stories about different food factories.. I don't think my grandad ate the brains but he ate everything else including the snout.. The world's a lot smaller than most of us realize man..
@@MarkLada what do you think the natural casings for sausage is?
Takes alot of balls to do what your doing hannah .. appreciate yall.
I literally just had a frying of these for lunch yesterday, I skin mine out but leave them whole then cut 1"thick slices soak in salt water overnight then season with salt, garlic pepper and Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning dredge in flour and fry them up in lard useing a cast iron skillet. Mighty Tasty
She didn’t do the cutting, just the cooking. Jeff probably would have done this video but that he cut his hand. Hannah stepped up. Preciate her.
That we do young man, that we do!
😂😂😂😂😂😂 stop it
Creeps
what, we didn't get to see the reactions of everyone eating them
Probably would have been demonitized by YT.

When I lived in Colorado there was a place in town that served Rocky Mountain Oysters as an appetizer. We went there for lunch a lot and pretty much always got on order to share. Good stuff!
"Nuts!" said the Queen, "If I had them, I'd be King!"
"We don't need hairy testicles!" I lost it! 🤣🤣
Your dad gets hurt more than anybody I know but I appreciate y’all.
Hannah jus awesome you do all this stuff with your pops, blessing to you and family, cow balls for snack

I was excited for another Hannah video then I just read the title....I was like "Nope!" ....stepping backwards through the door waving peace signs and then tire screeeeeeech!!!!

I grew up in Colorado and to eat Rocky Mountain Oysters it was a rite of passage and a sign that you were a true Coloradan
Thanks so much, Hannah, for sharing this video! Truth be told, I actually learn a lot!👍👍 I also wanted to say, I love that shirt! ❤️
Good on you!.
Them are from about a year old bull calf
You are amazing, thanks for the dinner tips, can't wait to see what's next!👍😋😊
Very good show learned a lot of new things hope you all are safe from the hurricane that went through in Alabama take care of yourself stay safe to you and your father and all of your family
I always slice mine into 3/8 to 1/2 inch madalyns to cook my Mt Oysters. A little seasonings flour egg wash and flour again. I really like a little Buddy Roaster on mine. When I owned a Diner here in Kansas used a lot of Buddy Roaster. It's a pre seasoned flour mixture and a lot of people here love it.
Grab that bull by the...
I was going to say, "-horns," but sure.🤨👌
In my neck of the woods we just call it a good old fashion nut fry!
A job well done Hannah , and that’s no bull. 😁
Been sending tons of prayers ya'lls way
Praying you and your dad are safe after hurricane Sally's pounding
Preciate ya'll and God bless
I guarantee all the sissy’s saying gross or they wouldn’t eat them would go back for seconds if they didn’t know what they was eating.
My wife and I used to go to a fancy steakhouse to order those. They also offered fried turkey nuts ! Yummy!
Hannah and JEff, Iworked on a hog farm for twenty years. I did the castrating of the hogs and kept the oysters and would have fries and everyone loved them. They are good eating and heatlthy for ya all.🤠
Girl you making me hungry, Jeff Barron you have done a fine job raising that child. God bless.
I have this strange painful sensation watching this
Lmao
I'm with ya buddy.
Me too

Too close to home? LOL
"I WANT SOME!!!" Haven't had these in so long, but, damn, I want some! They are delicious 😋😋😋😋
Jeff is wired in this video !! Rushing the heck outta you lol !!
He must be really hungry 😂
Wow! Who else would post a video of preparing and cooking mountain oysters? Awesome!
I’m curious to see how this goes.
I wanna cross my legs while watching this. This is the reason dogs hate the vet's office, went in one time and came out missing something. 😟
Easy. She was not cutting off ur nuts.
The last time I saw this done was about 30 years ago when my Granny was doing it after a cow working. I am happy people are still doing this.
Thank you so very much Miss Hanna....you remind me so much of my wife and baby child that I both so tragically lost...please keep on being just you....Robbie
Hannah! Soft freeze those nuts. Just until firm. Then you can pull the whole membrane off. Then make medallions about an inch thick. Enjoy. I love it. Mayo Ketchup and Horseradish for dipping sauce. All species of nuts taste the same. Good no matter how ya do it. I find myself marinating everything in Franks?? Lol.
❤🤘😉👍❤
Franks n "beans"... 🤭
It sounds like you really enjoy nuts. Lol
@@toddreynolds8875Yep,including yours.
Dont knockem til you try em!! I forgot to mention... the best part of eating nuts is cutting them off!!! 🦌🐂🐖
You are braver than me, young Hannah Barron. Jeff is just crazy.lol 😁
Hannah, you never stop amazing me. You and your dad have been through a lot sharing parts of your life with us. I know this is an old video, but I would love to meet you both someday soon, when you're not as. Busy.
Love your videos glad to see you're back
This is kind of like a dream I just had.

Yes...Cow Balls....not to be confused with Cow Bells.....Be Careful Dad.....Appreciate Y'All From Ohio
Ohio Gang
@@frankcastle7299 Cheers Buckeye
After makin' bulls into steers, there's always some nuts comin' for dinner.
Ohio here, Crawford/ Richland County / The Heart of it All
Yeah look like cow bell
"Calf Fries" are really good split in half and marinated overnight in Buttermilk, then deep fried in a Beer Batter, then eaten with a good Spicy Mustard and washed down with an Ice Cold Beer~!
Slice them into strips about 1/4 inch thick, dip them in egg and then flour and deep fry. Serve with cocktail sauce and a cold deer. Tasty.
Gotta love a girl using a Case XX Trapper with the yellow handle. Been using the same knife for deer hunting for decades.
I appreciate y’all LOL 😀
For some reason I ended up feeling slightly sore after watching this lol... my lord
The best part of watching a cooking video is watching the end product and the response of how good or bad it taste. Missed that yall.
For someone as active as Hannah, she seems very calm when cooking. Cooking, calm the mind, feed the belly.🍽️
Gotta admit, I winced a bit when I saw you cutting that first oyster in half.
Agreed
Title: "We are having a ball, wish you were here"
LOL !!!!
Wish I was with hannah and Jeff to they are awsome
Enjoy your time here in Kentucky! We like having you here! Preciate yall!
If you are ever near Altoona, Kansas we recommend the Prairie Nut Hut Bar and Grill, very delicious. Also here in Texas we have the annual Testicle Festival in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Hannah is just preparing for her marriage!
'Preciateyaballs
I think all this "ball eating" started out as a dare a loooong time ago. By the way, Jeff is his own enemy :) If it is not himself, he could live forever :P
When I was a kid we lived on the farm and we had cows and pigs they're great if they're done right good job
Here in TX I grew up eating these. Just earned a new subscriber! Keep on keeping on!
This ain’t all that weird. In Stillwater, OK every year we have a four day red dirt country and bull testical festival. Again this ain’t a big deal. They’re actually amazing.
What do u mean by red dirt country?
Them some good round tender steaks there. Mmmm mmm good. Boars and billy goat are pretty tasty too.
We were at a ranch outside Rocksprings Texas and had sheep fries. Incredibly good
@@hessranch haven't had them yet even though we have several rams but we don't cut them. Just the calves, boars and billies .
Looks like a wonderful meal. We up here in the Rocky Mtn's eat them every spring after brandings. They are calf or yearling testicals. Our prefered way to eat are prepared just as Hannah did and then dipped in egg and a mixture of ground crackers and corn meal to be deep fried just as Hanna did as well. I'm envious of your meal. God Bless. Wyoming Jim
Good for you girl. I just spent 2 hours cleaning oysters covered with mud, blood and poop. (Got to train the guys to take better care before they get them to me.) I can't believe this was your first time, you did an excellent job.
We call them “Prairie Oysters” up here in Canada 😊
Prairie Oysters.Funny.
Need to get Jeff some of those new rubber knifes lol 😂
Kevlar gloves.
I saw you and your dad this morning on fox. I love the 9-12 project yall are supporting along with graham Allen. i really appreciate it, always have enjoyed your videos
Cows don’t have nuts, only bulls have them! LOL! Same as bulls don’t have udders, only cows! LML!!! Love the video and that look on your face! It’s priceless!❤
Keep the comments clean fellas, or Hannah will use that knife on your own Mountain Oysters, LOL!
They teach this at “ex wife” school !
But seriously, I’d have to be starving to eat those.
One of the best pieces of deep fried meats ever. I still miss having it.
The best voice on UA-cam!!
Girl you need to start getting your Frank's from Cosco that little bottle would just make me mad. I put that shit on everything.
Tabasco blows away Franks any day.
But my fav is always Yucateco
@Gary Valencia im sure you do
Louisiana all day. Crystal's #2
Dang Jeff, you seem to be hell bent on gettin' hurt. It happens way too often! You might need a caretaker. Be careful out there!
That looks like a awesome meal. Love those type of oysters
I love that in her kitchen she still uses her pocket knife!
I will eat just about anything, but balls is where I will pass.
😂
There is a hilarious Chevy Chase scene in one of his movies back in the 80's where he is knocking back a ton of them, until he finds out what they are....I don't care for them, personally....We always called them Rocky Mt. oysters.
The movie was "Funny Farm" and he was eating sheep balls.
I saw that movie, very funny when he broke the record.
“Lamb Fries” lol
Cornmeal fried and eaten for breakfast with eggs is the best. Miss them so much.
One badass Landy showing up most of the men on here how it really gets done 🤠🤠🤘🤘
You really should be using a cutting board. Love your vids!
For all the guys that wanted to date Hannah this should give you second thoughts
Yeah
Or wait a week to kiss her
Holy hell Hannah I had such a blast watching you do this, my pops lives in Augusta and he taught me how to do this lol. You're a woman after my own heart. See you cut them redstips off. Super stocked to see you back in the yt business after a while
I've seen bull nuts called rocky mnt oysters, prairie oysters, land oysters and pasture puppies. Pig nuts are either nuggets or fries, and only seen lamb nuts as fries. I've had all three prepared few different ways but my favorite is sauteed with butter garlic onions and mushrooms, then a gravy made with a little stock and flour. Excellent over biscuits.
can i go hunt with you one day
Ya'll gonna need a refresher course in cooking. Don't still unprotected skin near hot grease or sharp pointy objects..... Only thing you missed was runningg with the scissors! LOL
We've always called them fries, Hannah! Hog fries, Bull fries and Lamb fries! Turkey fries are so good, I swear they are the best part of a turkey!
Hi from Scotland, appreciate yall
