I'm loving hearing these parts, and it's a revelation! The first thing that strikes me is how chill his playing is -- not really hammering the piano like i had expected to stand out from all of the other instruments. He finds a really nice pocket tucked in between all of the other players' rhythms. Then in Sunshine Daydream - I get shades of Keith Jarrett's Koln Concert improv. Then a good energetic rave-up at the end. What a wonderful and dynamic player!
Have always loved Keith's playing, along with the fact that he tended to use piano instead of an organ. Songs with piano sound "cleaner" and sharper; the organ tends to make individual instruments less distinguishable..
