"It is impossible to know God intimately if we don't know God accurately." This! The statement beautifully sums up something that I've been pecking at for several years and not able to formulate concisely. Thank you very much Allie!
So interesting! Your description of what “reckless love” could mean is actually what I THOUGHT it meant! Like that his love and grace is “wild” to us as humans that it’s hard to comprehend. Great video as usual🤗
Just to note, 1 Corinthians 1:31 should be 10:31. I have referenced that verse a lot lately as I struggle at church at times with wanting attention from others over seeking and worshipping God.
Thanks for an excellent video. God's desire to redeem us is beyond our comprehension. The small window we are given in the this life to contemplate His immense love and holiness is preparation for what God has prepared for those who love Him. Our life is meant to be an act of worship and our acts of worship are meant to glorify God and lead to our sanctification. God is good, all the time!
Super interesting! I hadn’t thought about the point you made about how if the song isn’t based on truth-we aren’t worshiping the true God. Thank you! 😄
I’m a Catholic and would love to hear you do a podcast on why you’re not Catholic. I know you’ve touched on it in previous podcasts but I’d be interested to hear a full show dedicated to it. Love your show!
There's a book that I read that explained what you sort of said what you said about trusting only our feelings and heart is not what we should do. It's called The Story of With by Allen Arnold.
Actually, CS Lewis was quoting John Calvin when he said, "A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word darkness on the walls of his cell."
Worship is recognition. Praise is to worship. To accept the other is wiser or wisest. It is the wisdom that is recognised as being right. Jesus revealed the wisdom of God. We called to serve God by obeying God by obeying Jesus. Deuteronomy 18:15-22, tells us to hearken to Jesus bringing the wisdom of God, and to hearken is to follow his wisdom.
God place a value on gold n silver devil come along put value on paper now look at you slaving for it you can found n dig gold & silver up with some work You found paper anywhere but u can print your own money May God bless you unbelievers
Good stuff. There are many things that I hear in contemporary songs. I see other trends as well. Not deal breakers, but human error. Possibly more "hits" driven than true worship from the "artist” who should be writing the song to Jesus, and not for the label or the next fan award. Oh, how the flesh is controlled by the world. Let's continue to separate ourselves, and not conform. I see CCM, and radio stations becoming more like the secular music that I listened to as a teen. Except now they want me to pay for it. And where is all of the money going to. Huge amounts on the recording side. How is the stuardship?

I am glad to see my sisters in faith on UA-cam! ( listening from Finland )
Yes! There is so much drivel out there that is all about our feelings. Thank you for addressing this.
We glorify God by our righteousness, and the Devil by unrighteousness.

Worship seems to be best done as the practice of avoiding resentment when confronting the suffering inherent in existence.

should i thank god for creating a mosquito that gave me malaria? or creating bacteria that killed my baby or should we thank him for cancer?
If it's not all God's plan, then it's random misery and chaos with no purpose.
@@carolberubee it is .....look at the animal world! milions of creatures get killed and eaten every day ....whats the plan in that if god is pro life?
