Hi Ryder, cheers for the comment. French Pass is awesome. I had some amazing kayak fishing there myself. Huge kingfish and loads of blue cod. It's one of my favourite spots on the South Island. I'll have to do another video for some fishing spots in the Marlborough Sounds sometime.

If you don't have a kayak, what spots would give you recommend to give you the best chance of catching something?

My favorites are cable bay and the channel at Tahunanui beach for surfcasting. Although it's still pretty tough fishing at this time of the year. Gets better towards the end of spring down there.

How old is that book? Wondering if it's out of print or been retitled... The spot x fishing books for sale in 2022 are called boat fishing, surfcasting and diving. Do you know any more info as to whether that exact book is still for sale?

Yeah my book was pretty old. I think I already bought it back in 2010, LOL. I think you are right they split them up into different books in the newer versions.

I bought mine at hunting and fishing -- 10 years ago :) I think these days they sell them for specific regions instead of one for all of NZ

Hey that's just the Nelson marina. You can drive in there, follow the road to the end basically and you'll find it.
