It can’t be overstated how much this ship feels like home. Wish they give it slightly better flight mechanics and maybe better means to defend itself but I get that it isn’t meant to stick around in any fight. Hopefully we see more from Argo sooner than later.
RAFT is Home. Wish CIG would allow it to carry one single large container for one Cyclone or something like that :3 At the end the Raft would all I need at the end to bring my Character Phantasy to life :D Hope Argo holds a big ship behind there back too so we have a good Competitor against a Constellation :D
@@sagichdochned absolutely! I think the possibility of carrying empty 32 scu boxes will be coming eventually and a cyclone or 2 will fit. A Connie size Argo sounds pretty cool to me, maybe a salvage ship that sits between the Vulture and Reclaimer?
Despite being a really industrial ship it has a surprising warmth to it! But I agree, it's hard to rock as a daily given how sluggish it is!
honestly, your "best uses" videos were always seen by me as a sort of joke or entertainment only. but i find myself coming back more and more often to you rvids when i look at a ship or i find one and i have no clue what it actually might all be useful for. thanks for making these, keep it up

I bought the Raft in-game purely to bed-log, because I like the interior. I spawn it, fly it out to the middle of nowhere, log off, then log on and realise I got a REALLY slow ship to fly back to dock, lol.
Unfortunately the Raft is quite sluggish! But its got a nice little interior for those long voyages!
@@ViciDeum The Raft being slow as molasses is the exact reason I only use it for bed logging as I said, lol. I dont use it for anything else.
The RAFT is one of the ships I know I will buy back. She's not very high in terms of performances, but she's got some personnality and that sweet interior. And i think there are some points she may surprise a lot of people :
CIG stated that we will be able to fit small vehicles in large cargo crates, thus she will make a good bunker runner.
Four VTOL engines will be very convenient when cargo will have its weight implemented.
Her superior armor will make her more resilient to dangerous atmospheres, if CIG make this a reality.
In her Jump Point article, it's stated that she has been built with the idea to be a dangerous material transporter. Maybe this claw system will give her an advantage in these situations 🤔
Oh and she will be pretty good for loading and unloading Hull series when she'll have her tractor beam.
A ship that can be very surprising, and with a lot of personnality 😅

It will be a good choice for moving cargo off the surfaces of high-grav planets to cargo ships in orbit.

I do love the RAFT, I upgraded mine to an SRV, but found within days I had to buy another raft in game, as I missed it! You mention tractor? I didnt have a tractor on my raft last time I used it, is that a new update? Also If/when we can use big containers to haul ships around that would be a great use for the raft. I find it fun to fly as well.
Correct, RAFT has no Tractor beam.
It has a cargo grain station - We will operate the cargo arms to manually lift containers
No idea why people got the idea for the Tractor beam :(
Sadly the tractor beam isn't currently implemented but is planned for the Raft according to its Q and A!
I do like the design of the Raft, but its super rare to see people use them because everyone is just using C2's for everything cargo related
i use mine to offload my vulture. i park it on a errant asteroid or hidden spot and just return to it to fill after my vulture is full of RMC. when my raft is full i just offload the cargo to my caterpillar then store the cat until i get a full load. around 15 mil a load of RMC now in 3.23. my vulture holds right at 30 scu of RMC including the ships hold. mostly I scrape Panels but sometimes i do missions.
Sadly I rarely see a Raft in game, but maybe with the recent C2 agility nerf and the upcoming physicalized cargo changes the Raft may have its time to shine yet!
I bought it, but I can't fully access its potential. Maybe I don't know how to use it. For example I do mining with the prospector, but there is a issue when open more then one work in the refinery I can’t store all in one, so I have to make more runs tu have the job done. Do you have any suggestions maybe I am doing something wrong.
Sadly I don't do much mining/refining in game so I'm not sure if you're encountering a bug or something else. But it sounds like you're doing all the right things!

@@ains2904 What cargo bays ? These are physical 3x 32 SCU boxes
You can mount them on using a hand held cargo beam from the outside.
There are physical epmpty cargo boxes theat we can buy in game - max what we can but is 8 SCU. This makes the rest of 32 unusable so we are wasting 24 SCU if yiu get a private (empty) cargo box. Personally I did not test this, but I assume at some point We will be ablye to fill these persoal cargo boxes with cargo.

@@ains2904 There was a video a while back about the cargo refactor - related to Hull C I think .. it showed lots of strange items attached to the Hull C pads.
motorbikes will be more compact - easier to pack into a container like that.
Sadly they haven't implemented this yet but its intended!

The ship is 100% broken, basically unusable after cargo physicalization: you could have at least checked it out in 3.22.1
The most useless ship in the verse due to continuous ignoring by CIG of it's reasons to exist and mechanics required to make it usable in any meaningful.
You could have spared this poor wrecks the humiliation of this advertisement.
The game is still in alpha and everything's subject to change but eventually all ships will align with their intended roles!
Well, with the continuous build cycle, patches and bringing all ships to an eventual Gold Standard, its to be expected. The premise to playing Star Citizen is to be open to change, and, if you've been playing longer than a couple of weeks, to expect everything to be in flux at one time or another, just wait till 3.24 drops. Lighten up
