TIPS FOR BRAINSTORMING: 3 ways to brainstorm to get ideas and organize your essays!
-- Get all your ideas on paper. Don't worry if they're good or bad!
-- Look for ideas that go together. Label them in some way (circle, underline, etc.).
-- Look for groups of ideas that can make paragraphs or main points of your essay.
-- Comparison/Contrast topic?: Use a T-chart to look at both or a Venn diagram to see similarities & differences.
-- Argumentative topic? Use a T-chart to analyze both sides.

What brain? Joking. Thanks for amazing videos. I am an adult going back to college and I took only one college level English class previously because I did good on my placement test. This however, wasn’t very exciting since I literally did get to brainstorm or summarize or anything of that foundational stuff. Your videos are helping me understand the basics of writing. Thank you.
Thank you for this kinda videos these really help the students
I think it depends on the type of Essay. Venn diagram and T-chart are good for comparison/contrast while clustering type is good for cause and effect and opinion essays.
Yes, absolutely! That's the way that I teach it in my writing classes.
I'm an English teacher in Japan. Your videos are really educational and helpful. I'd love to learn a lot by watching them and write better English. I'm grateful that I came across your channel. Thank you. Yukiko

Dear Ma´am Teacher. Well appreciated your lesson. Thanks. I prefer the Venn - Diagramm. I am a Cambridge Advanced Student and will sit an exam at the beginning of December 2021. I am from Germany. Warm Greetings.
Hi An, Thanks for your comment! I wish you all the best on your exam. Where in Germany? I stayed in Munich for a couple of weeks and loved it!
Very helpful, thanks Teacher. But, how to find ideas in essay writing. Most of the time, I go blank in my mind. 😂
That's a common challenge. I usually tell people that coming up with ideas requires two things. First, you have to learn more to get more ideas. Try to read, discuss, and expose yourself to more topics in order to get more information, which can help you have more ideas. Second, you need to practice. The more you do it, the easier it will be to come up with ideas.
Good luck! 😃
T chart and Clustering

I think clustering is better than others.
I love clustering, too!
Hi. I really appreciate your presentational skills. A lot of ideas appear into my mind, but unable to put into words. Looking for your advice.
Practice! I will make a video about how to take ideas and organize them for writing (or presentations), but for now, practice brainstorming and then organizing those ideas into sections that you could use for an essay or presentation.
My writing test is tomorrow, wish me luck 😔💜
You can do it! Good luck!

Teacher can I ask you a question. When you are going to apply to a master degree . They ask you for an essay. What kind of essay is that one? I mean the name. Thanks 🙏. Wonderful teacher.
It's usually called a personal statement.

Hi Chloe! Good luck! You might find this video about tips for timed essays helpful: ua-cam.com/video/4EYq9qbZmLM/v-deo.html
omg thank you!
You're very welcome! How did it go?
@@kissmwa110 how was it?
I really appreciate these tips. As a student of ILETS, what do you recommend how to use complex vocabulary in my conversation or writing? I have lots of vocab but am unable to use it accurately. Please suggest some tips!
Great question. The best way is to make a list of words that you're trying to learn, look them up in an ESL dictionary (like Longman) and get good example sentences, and then use them in your speaking or writing until you feel comfortable with them. The example sentences from a dictionary or ChatGPT are really helpful.
Also, try to understand how the new word is similar and different to its synonyms.
@@LearnAcademicEnglish thanks
