I am using a 6800XT, and for me, XeSS combined with AMD Adrenaline sharpness is the way to go. Effects on FSR look bad even on native AA. NIS looks sharp but has a lot of shimmering. XeSS looks blurry, but the effects look far better than with FSR, and AA works okay. So to my eyes XeSS with Radeon Image sharpening is the way to go.
FSR (no upscaling, native AA) with 100% sharpness looks the best in my case. Turning it off or using NIS produces horrible aliasing and flickering edges that makes my eyes hurt. XESS is not as bad as NIS but it's a bit blurry. FSR is definitely easiest on the eyes. I couldn't try DLSS since I have an AMD card but I assume it'd be similar to FSR or slightly better.
@bornsideways well not buying. Anew laptop so I'm fucked. Cant beat act 1 boss anyway guess sim done. Tried 2 days now on hiss bullshit wolf summom mechanic. Cant find lvl 5 skill gems, cant respect, cant buy rares, doesn't matter cuz merchant doesn't restock. Csnt lvl cuz exp is a joke at lvl 18. So what do
@bornsideways so I got a subscription to geforce now, essential rent their hardware to stream the game back to me. It's using a rtx 4080 and the gfx are still shit half the time.. i use a ethernet cable.. I've fiddled with wvey adjustment... but the txt on items half the times is fuzzy almost and difficult to read... what do?
Why would you mention your processor instead of graphics card when it comes to texture quality? Maybe it's garbage gpu, maybe the game can't see it and uses integrated cpu gpu. Make sure to google how to make it use correct gpu, there are 2 ways to do so
The NIS option is native resolution which always looks better and sharper than FSR or DLSS, because those are up-scaling features of AMD and Nvidia respectively for lower spec PCs that can't run a native resolution at desired FPS
@@bornsideways LMFAO NIS stands for nvidia image scaling, a spatial upscaler. It works like fsr 1 did. You are just running native resolution and have the antialiasing from NIS active. You have FSR native resolution which looks 2x better at native aa + removes almost all shimmering from the game.
OK so after some more testing, the native resolution thru FSR actually has a lot of flickering on highly detailed textures, everything appears more detailed and with less aliasing, but the texture flickering is really noticeable, so I will stick with NIS 😇
If you are using DLSS or FSR, do the opposite - turn the sharpness up
5950x and 3080ti this is the first game to humble my pc thanks for the guide
You're welcome brother 😇
VSYNC off if your using a 144hz monitor or higher. Sharpness on 10% is awful and blurry for anyone using DLSS.
Thank you for the video!
My pleasure! 😇
How did you get the graphics like that?
For me looks so good with dlss and sharpness at 3% no upscalling look's awful tho
Each individual GPU will yield slightly different results, glad to hear you found one that works for you! 😇

Default setting for Sharpness is already set at 10%, so you made no change lol
Mine was at 50%, apparently it depends on the game's auto-detect
it definitely wasn't not sure what mine was. 25% i think? and by trial and error i put mine at 10% too as the best looking.

Poe rules!! Subbed 2025, ty for tip!!!! ❤🎉
Indeed :) Thanks for the sub! 😇🙏❤️
FSR and high sharpness seemed superior to me. Don't know why NIS is default, it was pretty shit from what i saw
how how do u enable high texture setting
I guess you need a better GPU for that option to be available

I never used that service, so I don't know... You should try to ask on their subreddit - r/GeForceNOW
My graohics looks amazing lol
You're welcome! 😇
Just bought a new comp and monitor and the texture quality is hard locked on medium...Cannot change that? AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor
I can't really help you with that one brother, you might have to contact support, I have two options available - medium and high
Why would you mention your processor instead of graphics card when it comes to texture quality? Maybe it's garbage gpu, maybe the game can't see it and uses integrated cpu gpu. Make sure to google how to make it use correct gpu, there are 2 ways to do so
This is graphic card problem. You need more vram on your graphic card to enable high settings on textures
Just make sure you watch your fps too
Averaging 200-250 fps at max settings, the game is pretty well optimized I must say! 😇
I fixed it by opening the game and running it at 4k. The XTX is capable of 100+ FPS on 4k everything cranked up.
My second 4k monitor looks the same with the HDR on, but it messes up my primary that runs at 390hz
why no HDR?
I can't check that option for some reason
@@bornsideways Because you don't have an HDR display or if you do, HDR is not enabled either in your Windows or the monitor it self.
Turn hdr on in display settings in windows. If your moniter has it.
When I turn HDR on, it makes the colors on my main monitor completely washed out
HDR washes the game out. It makes it really hard to tell loot variety, since yellow and blue appear to be shades of white
ur on an amd card why are u using nis and not fsr?

Weird that the true native resolution would be available thru the FSR setting, but yes, there is in fact more detail and less aliasing this way
