    This will come in handy when I do the same to my ‘20 Icon Dark. Good video!

      Yea, I took it for a nice long asphalt and off road ride a couple of days ago and the shock is so much better than the original. I do still have more dialing in to do on the Andreanis up front though, but so far so good!

    Da pra fazer uma modificação nas suspensão pra deixar ela mais alta?

    • @MotoWorld777
      @MotoWorld777  Рік тому

      which part? The rear shock? No, not without modifying the rear shock mount or buying a longer shock that fits the mounts.

    Hy, very nice video... do you feel a sensible difference from the stock suspension? In what? Thanks.

      @MotoWorld777  Рік тому

      yes, definitely. The original shock is junk compared to the quality and performance of the Ohlins.

    What tires are those? Look sick!

      Hey, I have a Kenda big block in the back and an Anake Wild in the front. The Anake Wild is a great tire with good grip on and off road, the Kenda big block is better off road, on quick deceleration on the pavement the Kenda tends to loose grip and you feel like you are riding a Super Moto race!. On the other had they are relatively cheap but good tires.

      @@MotoWorld777 Thanks for the information! How well do they perform on tar roads though?

    Thank you for your review. I really find the stock rear shock uncomfortable so thinking of getting a DU 509 Ohlin for my Desert Sled. I was wondering if you have to compare the Ohlin shock comfort vs let's say a CRF 250L (I own a Rally version of it), how plush is the cushioning, how comfortable is it trail riding, dirt road, off-roading and also highway riding when you hit does continuous section of gnarly bumps including 2 up riding. Cheers!

      @MotoWorld777  2 роки тому

      hi, there is a big difference with the ohlins on my bike, Does not the desert sled come with and Ohlins stock? Or do they just paint it yellow to make it look like that. Either way the Ohlins is a very good shock and is more adjustable and responsive, especially off road.

      @@MotoWorld777 Good to hear. Desert Sled comes with Kayaba shock with preload and rebound damp adjustment. I have ordered and Ohlin rear shock for Desert Sled. The model is called DU509. Let's see how it compares. Thanks!

      @@rainvioletsky It is a big difference. Buttery smooth now after making some minor adjustment with preload settings and fine tuning rebound/compression :) Feel free to watch my video going over the installation here: ua-cam.com/video/qn1DOuDEt3k/v-deo.html

      @@SuchanBajracharya Wow! Good to hear that.
      Did you upgrade your front forks as well. I own a Icon. But the stock suspension is very basic and the feedback is quite
      disappointing.

    What's your thoughts on the wire wheels, like what's on the FastHouse model?

    • @MotoWorld777
      @MotoWorld777  3 роки тому +1

      Well, mine came with the mags. The mags are tubeless and zero maintenance, but they are heavier. If you are going for the desert sled and or plan to off roading a bit, the spokes are lighter, but again they do require regular tensioning and would not be tubeless unless there is a special set up on them. The beauty of the tubeless is they are very easy to repair a flat, you just stuff in a tubeless repair plug and you are back on the road, where the tube type requires removal of the tire and tube then a patch or new tube. On the scrambler I would go with the mags for me. On my dedicated dirt bike I have Mousse in the back and a tube in the front. Cheers.

      @@TM-lw8wn it is, around 400 pounds. It is no motocrosser or even enduro, but it is a great adventure bike and it handles trails pretty good for scrambler. I will always go off road not matter what I am driving, this bike a is a whole lot of fun! :)
