I use a method where I burn my music onto a CD, then I stand on a street corner and hand out the CDs, and when someone takes one I then get really close in their face and tell them that they have to pay for it.
😂😂😂
thats friggin hilarious!!
Works like a charm!
😆 🤣 😂 😹
Love this guy😆
The only channel that never dissapoints. Truly amazing delivery of information and content!
I'm blessed for finding this channel ✊💯
Thank you so much for the insight. Staying on top of it is key. I'm hoping I can get my track out by mid October :)
Everytime I have a question, your face pops up! I love it XD
Because of you I have learned bits and pieces about digitally recording where I am uploading a song to stream for the first time. I have been recording since 1989.
Why dont u just become a distributor? Whats needed for that?
Nothing really just clients
Lul, two very contrasting answers
f4de first answer is the how and second being the result of the how
great question, does anyone know how ?
@Adan Kohnhorst that doesn't explain much
Thanks for the information. Now I can get my Slim Shady rap on Spotify.
Aw this should have more views. U are really informative and clear in this vid and I learnt a lot. Thank u!
Thanks for the info - I was always curious about how people and even friends of mine were getting on iTunes so I really appreciate the details.
I clicked this video, and got really excited I said out loud " Oh its you " because you are one of my top youtube favorites LOL
Is there a simple way to find songs that were recently posted by independent artists on Spotify? in other words, is it possible to browse the songs that were uploaded today?
Jason Mc I would also like to know
me too
We are indie check us out!
Really preciate this bro short simple and great info!
You are one-hell-of-an articulate guy. And...you have the warmest, most engaging delivery I have ever witnessed on UA-cam You didn't address my issue, but that's because I completely misinterpreted the gist of your post. What a happy accident though: I was so captivated I decided to stay with it! Without wanting to appear sycophantic, I felt I just had to leave you this feedback. I haven't any particular credentials, other than my fairly reliable instinct, which right now is unequivocal in its assessment, namely that If you're not already hugely successful, you will be. Warmest Regards PL
Hi, thank you for posting! When it comes to the stage name, which can be difficult to find, what steps should we take to make it our own/protect it, and know if it's already been taken?
The Dude 3000 I can’t help you with everything, but if you need to know if it’s been taken just look it up and if people show up then don’t use that one.
I love ur videos,u are really good at simplifying stuff
Thanks for the tips!

i heard most of your songs and they are incredible, super clean mids, crisp highs and and decent punch on the low too. the audio is also super "real-like" ie clean. If i may suggest do make some songs where you play with pich and use synth-like audio like making brads sound a bit more robotic or bassier as he have a melodious sound. it would really make your music popout like if you make trap or hardstyle like songs, who knows combine them both go wild maybe that would increase the audience ☺
nishant ahluwalia Wow thank you! Such kind words. We are experimenting as much as possible with our new music and really trying to find out what works

In The Mix I'll be waiting 😊
Hi In the Mix, thanks for the info video. Really useful. My question is how do you go about making sure you've got the rights to your own audio, artist name etc?? And how do you display that on your artwork/artist info once you have that in place?
Thank you. ☺
So after a bit of research, it turns out you don't "Need" to have a copyright on your work. It can take 6 months or more to obtain a copyright though an application. Each song can cost money to apply. But, copyright law by default will protect your work from theft. So you can go ahead and distribute your work though a distributer but it will make everything so much smoother if you did have legal copyright ownerwhip to your songs. Songs can be copyrighted but things like song titles or album names can not. Works of arts basically can be copyrighted but tangible things like words or short phrases can not. For example this UA-cam video. This guy owns this video and UA-cam has a built in system to protect people from stealing this video. If some one reuploads this video, copyright law by default will recognize that the guy who made this video owns the video, and will take down the reupload. This is done with out having to wait 6 months or more to get copyright ownership of the video. If you want a copyright to a song you need to apply. You can just Google it, but it looks like it's not a requirement, just something you want to apply for if and when you can.
after this looong travel and busy days happy to meet this channel again ^^
Mika angel Who That's nice to hear, hopefully we won't be away for so long any time soon 😊
In The Mix
Do you all own your own publishing? The advice I hear over and over is to own your own publishing, and there’s definitely some informative information on UA-cam but I would love to get your take. Also, a video on the proper channels for trademarking/copyrighting a project name would be especially helpful. Thanks!
Thanks a lot, this helped me find Routenote and now I'm distributing my music!
Such Will Excellent! Remember to drop a link on one of these videos when it's published 😊
I use Sounddrop.
for a distributer.
:)
If you want to become a EDM producer like the big guys. this is the channel 😎😇
You said we have to make sure that we have the right to use our name at 2:40. But is there any ways to make sure our name is not copyrighted? Thank you 👍🏼 (and sorry if there are any English grammar mistakes, I'm francophone ✌🏼)
Thanks for this great video love you.
Hi, I wanted to know if you can upload remixed cover songs? what does that require?
Thank you so much, do you know any image processors, or will I have to get a professional to re do my image for an EP if the file is below the specified format?
You can use program like photoshop, or any other, actually, to do everything you need yourself
THANK YOU for Sharing this Knowledge my Brother........................SALAAM

Can I upload CC songs through any of the DLSs? If I can, please recommend me a DLS that allows such music to be distributed (I would like to know the one that Kevin MacLeod, or NCS uses).
This information is great helpful 😍

What about uploading cover versions of songs? Anything I need to know about those? Thanks
hey yahll! i just made the leap n signed up to distrokid. but before i go forth wanted to ask yahll for advice. i make hip hop and r&b music with some vinyl samples is it possible to submit sampled/remixed tracks? i've seen many artists on itunes use old vinyl samples, but never credited the original, but have tons of music uploaded. im debating if i should just remove pitched/chopped vocals ive done in my remixes and just leave the instrumental, but it goes against all the essence of the song as a whole. any thoughts guys? love the support n community here. yahll rock!!!
Hey Guys! Not really relevant to this video particularly but I was hoping I might ask - Is there anyway to ''easily'' merge two FL projects together?
I will try to be short and thorough:
Basically I have subconsciously written a second verse as a new track and I would like to grab all that and whack it on the end of the original project containing the first verse.
Along with the midi files/patterns etc. and audio files, I would also like to bring all the plugins across too. I am hoping there is a way I can perhaps pick a mixer channel as a destination channel for the imported content.
For example: Project A occupies channes 1-20. If I could export all the project data from Project B (occupying channels 40-60), ('data' I think; not 'bones'?) and select mixer channel lets say 40 as a destination or starting point, can I then import Project B's data etc. into Project A starting at track 40? And if so, would those imported assets then cascade consecutively into the mixer from channel 40-60?
The only other thing I can think to do is mix them both separately and print/export them to wav files and and combine the two samples in a new project again. Obviously, this is not ideal for so many reasons!
Or I could copy and paste patterns and files and save presets on all the plugins and to it all that way... That seems tedious however in 2017!
Hope you can help! Hey! Perhaps even an idea for another tutorial as I imagine this is probably not going to be super easy - I can't find any information on it!
Thanks!
When you sign up , does it go directly to your pre existing Spotify account ?
Thanks for the info bro.. Knatch Rychus music
Michael, is there distributors you can recommend to handle my music?
Kind regards,Leon Kotze, Namibia
In the mix is there a way to create an automation clip live like when the music is play making a live automation of the pitch or volume tried searching didnt find any way yet
Rapid Spectre if you create one and place it in the play list then link the pitch dial to a physical dial on your controller, you should be able to record an automation in

hello I have a question.so I installed the fee synth tunefish 4 (64bit) and moved the dll file to my vst 2 file where my other 64bit plugins are but when I refresh the plugin list in fl and want to use this synth it says 'Plugin failed to load.Make sure it's installed and registered properly.'But I don't have problems using my other 64bit vst .how can I solve that?
So... i’ve been working for the past two hours... on getting my music to itunes... and i need a distributor? ok so i’m actually extremely grateful i found this video when i did, so i didn’t work the whole day away on something impossible

hey guys i am having some issue with fl studio 12 when i am changing reverb and delay in nexus it disable my keyboard could you please help me out and this thing only fix when i am clicking on nexus top border or above
Could guys make a video explaining how producers can get placements please
Finally someone who actually knows what they talking about
Listen do I have to download it I'm totally oblivious to how all this
Did we need to have isrc to the song that were going to upload ? or is it the distributor's will do it
Do I have to create an account in each store I will select on distrokid?
Example, I decide that I want distrokid to upload my song on Apple Music, ITunes, Deezer etc but I don’t own any account on these stores...do I have to create them or DK will create them for me?
I been putting my songs on Spotify and im trying to build a fanbase.

@@dripslide_records I'ma check your stuff out. Thanks for sharing. Seriously, I'm checking it out right now lol. Here's my latest. soundcloud.com/powerupthemachine/across-the-room-mastered/s-EyYIiZ7wUtj. That's actually a pre-release link. It's set to release at 10am tomorrow. So it might change. Here's my profile link: soundcloud.com/powerupthemachine
Be prepared for criticism. lol I appreciate criticism so I hope you do to.
Well your stuff really isn't in my jam. I think that may be because it's not in my language. Sounded legit. Don't know the message it's sending so that's as far as I'm willing to go with that endorsement. But that first track needed some serious vocal de noising. Tons of white noise in those vocals. Sounded like part of the track it was so obvious. Those vocals weren't cleaned whatsoever. I know you can do better.
@@powerupthemachine9241 I dont have my work on spotify yet but I post them on my yt channel
I never knew increasing your fan base could be easier , my friend who is an artist really needed to get more streams. we met this guy @hackbeign on IG we took a try. well right now my friends streams grew from 500+ to about 25k in just 2weeks. you can give him a try @hackbeign on IG. thank me later and refer him too if he does nice to you.
Necessary to license the audio and the artwork before sending to distributors? How?
Thank you for this video but what are the free promoters cuz I'm kinda in a budget and I don't mind if they take a share of my revenue as long as I can be heard
i wanna share only 1 song as per the moment. and this is my first so what distributer you suggest. coz i dont wanna go too expensive
Awesome
I have one question if i will buy the 20$ pack for a label and will submit tracks with different artist name should i will work or not please tell me
So after the song gets released to distro in a matter of days it will be on apple / Spotify etc ?
Do you have a guideline how to Upload on UA-cam without loosing quality in your sound?
Very good 👍
New sub here great content
What if I want to change my distributer? Are they gonna create new artist page for me?
