    Good stuff man. I had about 100lbs to lose when I started carnivore and the first 60 pounds came off really fast. Then my weight loss slowed. I cut out everything but beef, also cut out dairy but it was still slow. Only about .5-1 pound a week. Then I switched to doing one meal a day. I still ate the exact same amount of food, but instead had one big meal a day instead of two smaller ones. My weight loss skyrocketed. Instead of 1 pound a week I am now averaging 3-4. Eating the same number of calories as before but OMAD seems to really supercharge your weight loss.

    Less mass intake will result in fat loss. Remember when you swap carbs for fats, you are consuming LESS MASS and it will keep insulin levels down. You will only lose Fat when insulin levels are down.

    I started on June 24th, I lost 11 pounds in the first 2 weeks, then nothing stayed exactly the same for 5 weeks now, I have no idea what to do, I find it very discouraging that nothing budges, I eat Beef, eggs, bacon and butter, that is all, I don't cheat ever, I do not have any cravings, even today we had a party for one of our colleague and I could not eat anything there as it was all horrible and only wine and beer, so I did not eat anything and did not drink anything, I was not even tempted, but still the days I eat NOTHING I GAIN WEIGHT! This is the weirdest thing ever: I keep the same weight when I eat. I don't know what to change or do.

      salt can help but if you're really struggling just eat 1 piece of fruit in the early evening. A tablespoon of raw honey might be best actually. Just have 1 tablespoon of raw honey with a pinch of salt an hour before bed. Thats only about 17g of carbs and it wont have a big impact on your diet, and will keep the adrenaline down which is whats keeping you awake.

    Sorry to tell y ou that you are wrong in your 2-meal suggestion. For some people yes it is a good way to cut the energy in but for some it is not. Being a carnivore myself at some point ı managed to eat only 2 meals a day, skipping lunch. But within 3-4 weeks i started to put on weight. Everything was same but i gained weight. Then i added my lunch back then the weight immidiately started to drop. It is well known now that body chemistry is not following a linear mathematics. It is complicated and everybody's system complexity is different.
    Also, I listened to a lecture (forgot the name, an insulin researcher in some university) he said they found that when mice was healthy fat didnt make them fat, but once the mice was insulin resistant fat made them fat. So it is not a basic calories out calories in equation

    I love drinking milk and chocolate milk. It seems to be ok if I only drink it once a day or once every few days. I know the sugar doesn't help, but it's my way of keeping my sanity when drinking mostly water. How does milk fit in to a carnivore diet?

    • @Dirk_van_Tonder
      @Dirk_van_Tonder 2 місяці тому

      Depends what your goals are. If trying to lose weight, give it a miss. If you're a weightlifter trying to get sufficient or even surplus calories to support muscle growth, it's a perfectly good source of nutrition as long as you don't have so much you surpass your daily carb 'limit'. Fermented milk is better (kefir/yoghurt - unflavoured/no additives).
