I really like that Garuga added the fake roar and the chance for the acro to use it's roar buff during the taming process, it really keeps us survivors on our toes!
The fake roar is heck of a tease lol
It's such a nice touch! And it absolutely baited me a few times, both in my attempts and in the winning knockout. It really does make the process more interesting IMO

The fake roar adds so much personality to the animal. Beyond just adding some uniqueness to the game mechanic itself, it makes the animal FEEL smart, like it KNOWS what you're trying to do and it's going to take advantage of that to bait you to your death
the taming process is pretty funny when I think about it. ark residents noticed it opens its mouth alot so they skipped knocking out and went straight to forcefeeding because a massive carcharodontosaurid screaming in rage is clearly a perfect opportunity for chucking shit in its gaping maw :)
Nah fr, the survivor that not only had the idea to try shoving narcotics down this things throat AFTER INTENTIONALLY PISSING IT OFF, BUT THEN ACTUALLY TRIED IT? Straight up psycho.

I like the type of roar acro has the way the sound wavers from the strength of it's roar just like godzilla

Thanks Ghost! I won't be covering the already-released AA dinos since they've been around for a long time now and everyone knows about them. But I definitely do have Diamantinasaurus and Monolophosaurus on my list, and any new AA TLCs/releases

I feel like there may be another bug with this thing, I’ve noticed it randomly exits shield stance for not apparent reason, as I did keep shooting it, this causes its health to drop and me needing to feed it bodies to keep its health up, and after a long time trying to feed it bodies, it’s torpor dropped significantly but I could make it enter shield stance again, and then ofc it’d exit and all that

I found a lvl 145 Acro and was planning to tame it with narcotics and and ASCENDANT PUMP ACTION. Little did I know it would only take 4 shots to take down the beast💀💀💀💀
I hate when Acro pushes you before roaring it is annoying I can’t feed it when it pushes u
I'm stuck there, can't get to a feed, and when I do it's one and then his torpor drains before another feed is even possible

I tried to do this recently on two separate high level acros, they never roared once, just died..
They did do the "guard stance" or whatever though..
Another thing when looking for cues on the fake roars, only the enraged roar itself glows! the others dont seem to from what i can see :]

It also doesnt do the headbash thing before the roar so yeah, look out for that too
The acro’s damage is based on drag weight but overall it’s supposed to be an upgrade to Rex
For anyone who hasn't seen them or enough of them. Go to Carno Island or where alot of T Rexs and Carnos spawn

I have installed and activated the mod of the acro but they dont spawn i only have the saddle but the creature dont spawn
I had this problem but the spawn is actually quite rare. I did 1 or 2 dino wipes and they started appearing

I'm yet to test this, but all of the titans (except the ice titan, for some reason) have 35 drag weight, so it seems like the acro would be an insane titan killer

I don't know if its a glitch on the pvp server i'm on, but when I use narcotics I can feed the Acro as many times and I can click during the roar, so I can just knock it out completely in one roar, don't know if its a server only thing or not, abuse it while its there.

I ended up using a fabricated pistol on my server lol both the shotgun and fabricated rifle did way too much damage.
I noticed the fake roar is not as engine like and sounds more like a parasaur if that helps
Question about the Paleo Ark mod, Should I add it as a highly prioritized mod or does it not matter?
Has the bug where you have installed the acro mod and activated it but it still isnt in your world like the saddle engram and creature arent there
I'm not familiar with that, all I know is that it works for me and everyone I know

Bcz I was was playing ark mobile dino level cap was 450 when I tame I would get a 200 level bonus making my tame strong and with a cool saddle destroying gigas was easy now after I played asa I know what the difference is 🤕

I think just anything weaker than your current ascended, it doesn't have to be primitive but it can't be too powerful either
Other weapons like quality sniper rifles could also work as well

I've been trying to put narcotics while it roar but whenever i put, it hit me instead and i die?? 😭
im having trouble with the mod, and help would be greatly appreciated. So whenever i try to spawn in the acrocanthosaurus, i just get the message "Not allowed on this map" even though im on the right map. How can i fix this?
Does it have to be bio toxin or can it be narc as i have found a 140 but i cannot find jellyfish anywhere

I don’t know if its just with me but I can convert my rex and giga into the evo versions but I can’t find them at all in the wild… is this a bug? (I did dinowipe) also the evo versions didn’t replace the standard ark rex/giga
Idk if it is already too late for this - but incase you still have that issue: what helped for me was removing any mod that modifys the level wild dinos spawn in plus any mod (or reduce them to only like 2 at a time) that add alternative variants to the vanilla dinos.
Had the exact same problem on my game file, could change the tamed rexes to their evo variants but the mod didn't replace any wild rexes/gigas even after a dinowipe, reinstalling etcetcetc. What I also noticed was that quite a lot of other things (such as meraxes, for example) didn't spawn like.. at all. Which also was the fault of the mod that changes the level of wild dinos spawning, apparently these mods mess quite alot with the spawns and spawnrates

is the acro in the base game or do you need to download a mod?
Currently it's a mod but it's actually one of the confirmed AA creatures to become official in the next few months (I don't know when)

the taming for this dino is just not working for me. ive given up on it unless someone has advice to offer. otherwise just gonna remove the mod while i simmer in frustration of all my wasted resources and most of all time. cant say im a fan of the taming method with ark being as jank as it is in the first place. so tell me scholars, what am i doing wrong? tried a fab sniper rifle, tried a pump action shotgun, tried traps, tried without traps. it just ends up dying, the animation gets skipped over so i cant reach the mouth as the animation gets cut off, over half the time they dont even enter shield mode. only twice ive managed to get then in shield stance and that was with the pump shotty. but they still ended up dying. tried both low level 80's and high level 380's. no difference. what actual flip. advice?
I've not experienced any of that so I'm afraid I can not relate - this taming tutorial only shows 1 successful attempt but in reality I failed a good dozen times, all due to personal error. But in regards to killing the Acro, my suggestion would be to kite it around and have it kill some wild creatures, or summon some sacrificial dodos or something, just anything to cause it to self-heal like any wild dino would. I actually did this in another video where I messed it up so bad I needed to heal it, and it allowed me to continue the tame as usual

Yes
All of the Ark Additions creatures EXPECT for the Brachi can go into bosses(granted Helio and Xhip can only go into the Moeder boss of Gen 1since they are fish)

Wierd, kinda expected Acro to do more damage to sauropods because it is actually known to have preyed upon sauropods.

I’ll be honest, I really don’t like the taming process, especially with the fake roars. I just think it’s frustrating, and a slight dip in elevation hidden by foliage could stop you from reaching the mouth in ASE and presumably will again once the hit box is fixed. Plus a lot of garuga’s creatures are just too strong, especially in the wild. However, the model is so pretty and sounds so nice I know I’m going to be taming and breeding tons of them. It’s just too nice of a creature not to.

First week of April. It's because CurseForge takes sooo long to approve console patches, so instead of having a potentially buggy mod for ages on console, we're quickly fixing it all on PC so we can ship you a bug-free console version asap
