This is another fantastic mod. I love the diversity (even if they are mostly theropods) of these high-quality mods. Also, the carno bleed keeps it relevant in a world where these stronger relatives exist. Becca, how do you think the majungasaurus compares to the carno in terms of speed and stamina? Either way, this mod is a must. It looks great, has tons of utility, isn’t broken, feels unique and flavorful, and acts like a real mid-level predator focusing on the weak and dead like a Mesozoic coyote. You are a gem of the community, Becca. And that’s not even taking into account your unmatched saddle work (and you can tell garuga I said that). Darkedge clan for life!
However i hope that the carno will be tackled soon by Paleo-Ark or another mod artist. Its deserving more love in my opinion. Not necesarily in its abilitys, but in its design. The vanilla carno just looks bad. I mean, it was an Apex back then. But they just look stupid in Ark xD Maybe a willing mod author could take on the carno impression of Prehistoric Planet from Apple TV+. Totaly would pay for that carno
Aw bless, thank you so much Francis 💕 I've not done a direct comparison with the Carno but I feel like it would out-perform it overall, even if Majunga has lower baseline movementspeed and damage (I don't know if it does, but let's pretend) its perk will pull it ahead anyway, IMO! And also yes, Carno will be tackled by Paleo ARK too :D I agree, the locks alone are severely dated

I reaally love this mod! It proves that it does not need thunderbolt and lightning for a dino to be very very frightening to me. Beutifull design, handy abilitys, beautifull sadle. Brilliant. And even the scavange is interesting. I mean this was the apex of Madagaskar, but its known for being an oportunistic dinosaur. I'd love to have some kind of cannibalistic traid, too. It would be more a feature for nerds like me, but since this is one of the few dinos we have proof of cannibalism from, this idea tickles me. Definitly comes into my collection.
Great video as always building up some real hype for these mods. I'm all for new creatures to help shake up the early-mid game instead of just late/end game. This looks right up my alley in terms of looks and function, so can't wait to try it out in a brand new map like Aberration 😁. I'm hoping there's an aberrant version released alongside, but even if there's not, I'll gladly take it over the tired old Carno or fuggly Ravagers. Now... where is that gorgeous evo Anky hey? Lol
Agreed, having new early/mid game dinos is very refreshing! As for this lad, Lapis wasn't originally planning on making an Aberrant version but they have since been considering it
I've had a chance to use it a bit and I really like it. However I would say that it needs something a little bit more agility wise to compete with say a Barry. Specifically, I would say a small jump(possibly in tracker mode), which I always felt should be a general characteristic of similar and smaller sized creatures over their larger cousins. Other than that I think it's a good early game creature when you want to move about.
The new creature mods coming out are so nice, but as always i have one main question will it get a ab varient, and its a tad sad since all those perks while unique to the game almost all should be put on the megalania family since that is exactly what the komodo dragon does in real life currently.
I absolutely love that the modder added the fun feature of a possible horn being on the real life dino! A fun little Easter egg towards real life history of the majungas. This guy has alot of odd features compared to others in its family. One being of course the horn. Another being it's teeth. Having more then most of it's family. And it's one of the few dinos that have evidence of it partaking in cannibalism. It would have been cool to see a buff or something from eating it's own kind 😂

Slightly upgraded Carno and i really like the healing from corpse eater. Great looking model. The tracking thing is new and would be very helpful with tames that run away into the bushes. However you dismounted to shoot so i assume you can't shoot from the saddle, which is disappointing.
I just tested quickly, and you CAN shoot off of its back Looks like I dismounted out of sheer habit. I'll try and be more conscious of that in future videos - Nice observation 💕
@DarkEdgeTVSurvival No, I'm glad you do it. These people are by far more invested in Ark than Wildcard is, and im always stoked to see new creatures, updates for pre-existing critters, and so forth. I have an unnatural like for Carnos, idk they're just not too big and not too small for me, and having a more uptiered one is really cool. The fact that i can tame death worms, tame ants, tame Jug bugs, have jumping spiders, have Majunga, Evo Giga, Evo Rex, all of Garugas stuff, all of Moronadas stuff, and TSW and everything else in between makes my games truly diverse in what there is to tame and what there is to do
In my opinion,maybe add a few more different abilities for the majungacorn like a piercing heabbutt like Caro which does bleed and other debuff and make it a better version of Majungasaurus or other new abilities.But either than that it looks so stupidly cool
When it comes to the singleplayer hibernation issue, wouldn't using the -preventhibernation start command cause it to work as it should? Really nice model though. And I agree, he has a sort of goofy face but rather cute as well lol.
It is crossplay, yes. I rendered and uploaded the video last night, and Lapis made it crossplay today before the video went live haha, but in the description it confirms it's crossplay enabled

It should be available on both consoles now. However last night there was an issue with the Curseforge API so that might have been why you couldn't find it at that time
