The leather wheel is a smaller diameter, so you have to adjust the distance of the tool. Be didn't show that

It can, but so far it is really hard to get good, consistant results, so it is nothing we recommend. Let us know how it goes if you decide to try it! 😊 Stay sharp!

This jig has been updated and is now called SVD-186 R Gouge Jig. You can find it on our web (www.tormek.com/international/en/grinding-jigs/svd-186-r-gouge-jig/) and find resellers there. Prices vary a bit between markets and resellers, so best to check it out on your market. Stay sharp!

Sharpening gouges with the Tormek system is done in a matter of minutes. The idea of the SVD-186 Gouge Jig is also to enable you to sharpen your gouges while you're working with them - just touch them up and get back to work. Stay sharp!
