The House of The Dead- No Damage Challenge (Difficulty- Very Hard)

Played via Nebula M2 Emulator on PC.
Difficulty: Very Hard
Unlike my other House of Dead videos, I've skipped the cutscenes here because this playthrough's purpose was to complete the challenge of beating the game without getting hit once.
Also unlike my other videos, you can see the white flashing when I shoot. The reason I didn't toggle tile maps off to get rid of the white flashing is because of the HUD. Disabling tile map also removes the HUD. Then you couldn't see if I was getting hit and loosing life. Thus I had to play with tile maps on.
Vsync was also off to avoid input lag and thus the recorded video ended up looking even more stuttery than others.
Maybe I'll try some other challenges in the future, but for now, this is it. I screwed up multiple times and had to start from beginning each time after failing the challenge. It turned out to be a lot harder than I expected.

Damn you even did it on the arcade version that has the annoying flashing, insane play.
It seems like someone already made a lua script to disable the flashing [without disabling tile maps] all the way back in 2018.
All these years and I didn't know about it. Almost got blinded playing with the flash 🤣

Ever noticed if the game got harder with 2 players? Imagine you really good players mowing down as if its 1 player
Yeah, enemy count per wave becomes higher on 2 player mode. Also some boss fights takes more hits to stun.
So starting the game with 2 players and shooting with only one player would increase the difficulty. I haven't managed to get no damage run with that.
Congratulations! I was actually working on this but I don't know or think I'm going to even try anymore. I always get to magician or hanged man and fail. If not them, then it's a part of 2 or 3. Stage 2 being when you enter the laboratory, and for 3 it being when you take the path in the left in the end part of the level.

I messed up several times during magician too. Had to restart a lot because of that.
@@RiasatSalminSami you're welcome. I'd say other than a few parts I mentioned that he is literally the worst part of trying to play the game without damage.

I never got why curion was killing his own employees. Like doesn't he need them to make more monsters?
No, he only wanted to cure his son and went insane in the process eventually. So I assume at this point, he was full nuts.

Actually, assuming how many of the employees disagreed with Curien's decisions and moral stance, Curien probably wanted to kill them.
@@retrochristmas7329 well, he's insane ofc. i also read that a lot of his staff had disagreed with his decisions and were walking away from his project, which may have prompted him to kill them for disagreeing.
@@felmargego2534 by the time the curien mansion case happened, the majority of DMS workers have had left Curien because of his unprecedented mission. I guess he didn't wanted the outside world to find out what was going on in his mansion. Not to mention that if Sophie had not called Rogan about the killings of other scientists, the AMS wouldn't have discovered and Curien would have been able to do more damage than he already did.

I am attempting to finish this game in a similar fashion (No damage, No Continues, on Very Hard) I got the magician fight once but died SO quickly. Is there anyway to fix the annoying thing where reloading doesn't actually reload the gun everytime?
Yeah, if you hold trigger button, then reloading doesn't work. Make sure to always lift your trigger finger and then click on reload, otherwise it doesn't reload. It will take a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easy.
Anyone know how to get this setup running in terms of where to get the emulator and rom

Possible but painful to keep concentration and playing carefully throughout the whole run. Usually I get hit at least few times when I'm playing casually.

Not much to change in the settings. I just changed the resolution, and enabled raw input.
And forced anisotropic filtering from my GPU driver.

Just played this with my Sinden, didn't go so well.
It's hard to finish without getting any damage. I had to restart multiple times because of that.

I wonder what makes a difference in the difficulty?
Zombies seem to tank more body and limb shots compared to easier difficulties. Thus forcing you to headshot to get quicker kills.

개인적으로 난이도 2>1>4>3같음 스칼렛던은 안해봐서 모르겠음 스칼렛던 pc에뮬로 돌리는거 풀리긴했던데
@@쥬지헌터 3's most painful boss has to be that Security guard and the Tree thing.
Its kinda hard to drain the guard's health and avoid getting hit in few scenarios.
As for the tree, in the lass part where its head comes close to you to spit, you have to shoot way too quickly to drain its life to avoid getting hit.
Rest of the game is fairly decent and you can easily avoid getting hit.
