Thanks a lot David for your sharing! I've been working in the Audio Design(Video Game industry) for almost 23 years and I can tell you in term of training, your channel is one of the best in sound design field, it's consistent, sharp, Engaging! You deserve more attention and support, really! Keep going :)
as someone aspiring to get into movie/game soundfx, how can i get started? im open to doing free work but don’t know about if i need to make a portfolio
Great review. I was also pretty skeptical of this plugin until Robert Dudzic recommended it. Since I've moved from Music to Sound Design, I have a greater appreciation for these types of specialty plugins. It's obviously not going to be useful in everything, but it seems like a great tool. I also totally understand the POV of White Sea Studios' review.
Is it a gimmick? Is it really worth it? I'm new to sound design and most creating techno but was thinking this would be a cool plug in to make some dark horror intro's to my tracks. Any advice , please?
OOoh, I like you. There aren't enough sound effect channels. Most everything is centered on music, music, music. I love music, but I'm really interested in learning Sound Design. Had my eye on Uberloud and really liked the demo. But this was a great walkthrough. Thank you.
If you hover just so slightly above your top track on the left hand side, you should have a green bar appear that you can grab and drag up and down. This allows you to increase the size of the marker region. Check out this part of a video by Akash Thakkar. He shows exactly how to do it: ua-cam.com/video/rHaw3Me8UhM/v-deo.html Hope that answers your question.
which open headphones would you recommend for a sound design with the most even frequency balance up to $ 300? and is it possible to make a sound design of commercial quality only with headphones?
I have been using the Sennheiser HD 280 PRO (www.daviddumaisaudio.com/sennheiser280pro) for the past couple of years and it has served me well. I couldn’t really recommend anything else at the moment because those are the only headphones I’ve ever used and owned. Yes, I’m sure you could create commercial quality sound effects using only headphones. That’s how I got started before I bought myself a pair of studio monitors. You can get ear fatigue pretty quickly though and it isn't the same as having studio monitors, but if you don't have studio monitors or the means to get some, headphones are a good place to start in my opinion.
@@daviddumaisaudio thank you, but I'm only looking for open-type headphones so that my ears don't get tired, because I'm going to work only with headphones for 12 hours a day. i want to buy beyerdinamics dt 990 pro, but I don't like the frequency balance in them, although it can be fixed with an equalizer or not?
@@aurosonic4869 Oh sorry. I’ve actually never used open back, but if I was going to invest in a pair, I would be looking at the Sennheiser HD650. I’m sure the Beyerdynamic’s are great as well. And yes, you could balance them with software like Sonarworks. That’s what I use with my current headphones and studio monitors.
@@aurosonic4869 I love my Massdrop X Sennheiser HD 6XX . I've used them with Sonarworks before, but I usually use them without SW and get great results.
Finally a nice alternative to OTT that doesn’t make everything sound harsh.

I tend to have the same reservations with plugins like that, but this one seems pretty legit. Definitely going to try it at least.
its multiband compression, light soft clipping and dispersion in that order
Yea, that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying that!

Awesome. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video.
It seems like a really good alternative to using OTT
Yea it is. It affects the sound differently though. I personally find uberloud to be more versatile.
subbed my dude!
Awesome vid, thanks!
How do you make the region lane taller so your marker names don't overlap so much?

@@daviddumaisaudio Awesome! Wish it didn't need to be dragged so low for the effects but great to know its there!
Thanks a lot :)
