This video is easily one of the best hidden gems I've seen from the Geometry Dash community in recent times. I can tell how much you care about what you're talking about and for what seems like your first documentary, this is an amazing outing. I enjoyed this video and I hope to see more videos from you in the future :)
honestly, auto levels are definitely one of the reasons why geometry dash is such a unique game. creators have gained the creativity to create a game *in a game* and to make whole story lines and animation, even if it only lasts by like less than 2 minutes. though the 2.2 update has made it a lot easier to do so, i'm still in awe and proud of how creators have gone so far with the limitations from the 2.1 update. also great vid, bud!
This is great! Auto levels occupy this odd niche sphere of the game and so we don't really know where or how to classify them in the bigger picture, so it's nice to have a comprehensive video like this. Good to hear about levels I remember from long back like Mr. Gawne while learning about levels like Biome of Everything. I personally love "traditional" auto levels/auto gameplay levels because they lift any accessibility-based constraints and let you manipulate the player however you want, and they offer a kind of alternative to expressing yourself in GD, being more similar to Line Rider or bouncing square. I wish they were more prevalent in today's auto scene, but I'm glad I got to see them here (The jokes at 2:46 and 13:47 were awesome too very creative)
ye it'd be awesome to see auto levels get more attention, even more likely so with 2.2 features of the song and sfx trigger and i'm glad u enjoyed the video and the jokes too!
Really good video! It’s interesting to see how this obscure difficulty has evolved over time, and we’re stating to see some more creative auto levels now that 2.2 is out. Also I wish MrGawne was mentioned in this video. One of the first movie style autos I saw and also one of the first genuinely emotional autos (rip doggo 😥)
This was a blast from the past, so much nostalgia. I wish classic autos would make a comeback, they were so much fun back then and nowadays you could do some crazy stuff. Thanks for the nostalgia
Very well made documentary with good pacing and great IRL segments. I'm sure that in time you'll be racking up those views and subs with other good quality videos. It's a long term process that takes lots of effort, but it'll be worth it.
This video made me remember so many auto levels from years prior (especially the blue lite skits) that made me laugh and rewatch them a bunch of times.
oh spawn triggers did exist in 2.0, then they got updated in 2.1 with a delay function, hope that clears up the confusion! glad u enjoyed the video tho
@@Puueds Wow! I didn't know that, I thought they never existed because I swear I never saw them when I played back then. I guess they wouldn't have been THAT useful without the delay function, you wouldn't be able to make loops with them. No wonder I never used them. Were they in the trigger tab still or were they a hidden object because I could've sworn I never saw them
good video :0 btw, while best automatic level (id 2655) was the first *rated* auto level and it was released probably about 6 weeks into gds lifespan, the actual first auto was released by darnoc (id 182, kinda insane), at which point gd must have been like 2 days old. i would consult gdhistory for the precise dates but the site seems to be down at the moment also, the reason that auto xstep uses stereo madness as the song is because the level file got corrupted at one point (which is also why the version is set to 0)
late response, but i see, thanks for finding the actual first auto level! also i did not expect a level file corruption for that level to have stereo madness as well
such a cute video :3
Yo it’s the creator of cube story
so true :3

thanks! now that 2.2 is around the corner, we can make quality auto level shitposts and be mythically rated
@@PuuedsAround the corner?
yes if u look, its right there
@@Puueds Lol, I was confused because that phrase is used when you think it’s soon, not when it’s already arrived. Anyways, have a great day
this video is the best auto level of all time, amazing job
I died because I clicked
