So i found that in the sushi kit the hot dog and broccoli (and possibly the fried chicken) both contain collagen which is basically gelatin. Since the recipe was used with cold water, the collagen molecules stick together to form a jelly like substance. The rice used in the kit is more complicated possibly consisting of multiple chemical reactions. The powder itself consists of milk/dairy products and is probably working with a substance that contains acid. This is what gives the candy more of a lumpy texture kind of like cottage cheese. The powder also contains starch and is reacting with the water. Since the water us not heated, the starch molecules stick together in the mixture creating a goopy texture in a consistency similar to rice. Im not so sure about the rest of the ingredients but this is all i know for now.

You can make edible slime by using tapioca starch 1. First add some starch in a bowl then add water 2.Then put in the microwave for 15 to 30 seconds 3. Take out and start mixing thoroughly 4. Then put it back in the microwave for 15 seconds 5. Then mix the mixture thoroughly again 6. Then put it directly into cold water 7. Need the mixture well inside the water then it should become a rubbery clear slime Ps the measurements might need to change because everyone’s microwave is different!! I think it could be some sort of rice paper or Gelatin that is flavored but I’m sure there is a way to make it into a powder cause they had pva glue in both liquid and powder. Idk but you could create it and take the logic almost like the powder and liquid type idea from glue.
