    Pete is right, there is no self growth unless you contract warts on the top of your scalp or something. Better to focus on real pursuits, like food on your table or making your life blissful. The problem with De-doms is probably lack of self-time.

    As an entp, I'd need to ask more questions. Can't pretend that this is normal for his delicate sensibilitys. The wet wipe was pure cringe, so I'd probably laugh too just to get through it. 🤨 Besides, im pretty sure a weird orgasom class with strange women won't cure intimacy issues... it probably just exasperated them.

    Interesting. I am curious how you view Theo's quirkiness/creativity in his conversations. Even among other comics where there are a lot of Ne users, his creativity to say random stories is high among comics. The illusion of confidence is all about biased perception, which is impossible to overcome by yourself.

    NOPE. If the OPS methodology 1.) factored everyone's usage of the 8 functions (both valued and unvalued, strong and weak) and 2.) the varying manifestations/dynamics (at the physical, psychological, social level) of each function into its analysis, the vast majority of their typings would be far more accurate.
    Chris DeStefano is an ESTP, not an ENTJ, as is the case with most of the people they mistype as the Te/Se subtype of ENTJ. As an archetype, the ENTJ is FUNDAMENTALLY defined by their strong intuition--both Ni (valued) AND Ne (unvalued)--therefore, unless severely brain broken, it would make absolutely no fucking sense for them to routinely and systematically bypass the very traits that theoretically and applicably make them who they are.
    An ESTP's two strongest functions are Se (valued) and Te (unvalued) and, oftentimes, they are used in tandem. When the beef popped off, as Chris interrogated the logic of Theo's actions via "how?"/"what?"/"who?"/"where?" [aspects of Te], he also manifested an explosive body based energy and excitability [aspects of Se].
    What FUNDAMENTALLY makes a sensor, a sensor, (and especially those that value Se) is that we are very "embodied" and more in touch wth our physical presence, energy, and power than we are with our "heady," more abstracted and corporeally disengaged, mental energy. This is a crucial aspect of Jung's work and even OPS alleges to acknowledge this distinction. Concerning the physical manifestations of Si/Se vs Ni/Ne, as a RULE, intuitives and sensors do not manifest the same levels of body based presence, energy, power, confidence, and awareness.
    Chris instinctively (easily and readily) stepped on the Se when he felt the need to check Theo and put him in his place--this is the social aspect of Se that involves the wielding and manipulation of one's personal power in opposition to another's power. ESTPs are hard wired for this type of immediate response, whereas ACTUAL ENTJs are not. Se involves more dynamic components than simply being aware of the concrete, externalized, objective data/facts.

    • @theultimatedisciple7974
      @theultimatedisciple7974 Рік тому +1

      Some very valid points here, why are ESTPs strongest functions Se and Te? You maintain that’s the case for all types that their 1st and 6th functions are the strongest? And if so what do you mean by “strongest” ?

    • @dr.squidwardburr7661
      @dr.squidwardburr7661 Рік тому +4

      All fair points.
      And I, amongst many (including yourself), see the Te/Se bias they've always displayed.
      In my experience (been in here from the jump), you will likely be relegated into the:
      "Yeeeeup. Of *fkn_COURSE* they would say that; they're _______ type/energy," "box."
      It's tough because Te/Se *is/are* the most objective functions.
      So I totally understand how encouraging Dave & Shan to see "blind spots," for *them,* with all their experience *&* cognitive stacking, is essentially a waste of time; 1. it won't have any effect-some of us have been trying for literally years.2. Why should we *expect* they go backwards, when they're running a successful recipe?
      3. Yes.
      I agree that the answer to #2 is cuz Objective Science... Which they are claiming to represent.. Whilst tragicomically & stubbornly being biased.
      But granularly & practically speaking, there's waaaay more benefit than blunder to take away from here than not.
      Maybe make your own interpretation of typing?
      "Necessity = Invention"
      🤔🤓
      Now....
      That being said, I want to push back a bit on the ENTJ portion of your analyses.
      Dude was full on triggered, and based on what appeared to be a challenge to his subjective experience/feelings/moral/ethical compass, and on what appears to be the foundation of *"obviously objective & communally agreed upon standards"* (looks around for validation to support his tirade on the way back up from feeling as though his big phat !I'M OBJECTIVELY RIGHT! was disrespectfully slighted... Then offers a "DO" type of apology... Cuz that's what a good guy is supposed to do, ya know, naturally..
      "Don't wanna be an a$$hole. That's not what a True Leader is supposed to do.
      Nope.
      Only a$$hole's do that.
      And I'm not an a$$hole.
      I'm a good guy.
      ...always out here helping e'rbody all day and hwhat_naught)."
      Whereas Theo, on the other hand, reluctantly did the opposite with his feelings:
      He read the Objective feels.
      And Resepctfully adapted...
      Albeit reluctantly.
      In closing, I found this lecture an amazing demonstration of Fe/Fi (whence in the 4th position of an individual's central type).
      Hope to see more of ya in here.

      Even evidence-based psychological testing developed by experts needs to also be interpreted by an expert. There's no test in existence that can for instance diagnose someone with a single aspect of mental health through the internet, merely provide a suggestion that it could exist. Which is how even the best of MBTI tests should be viewed, as a suggestion or starting place for more research. How can anyone expect to develop a test that is actually reliable enough and is testing for what it's supposed to to assess an person's entire personality to this kind of detail when the closest thing we have is The Big Five?
