How much is scrap aluminum rim worth?

- Have you ever wondered how much money can you get for your old bent aluminum rims that are absolutely useless and just take up space in your garage? Let's take a trip to a recycling facility together and find out!
I removed plastic emblems, balancing weights, tire pressure sensor and valve stem from the rim in order to get the biggest buck for it, otherwise it will be considered as "not pure aluminum" and you will get three times less money! Then I took it to my local scrap yard. Guess how much I've got for it....?!

That's crazy low u got screwed here in Nova Scotia Canada rims are 98 cents a pound last summer they were up to 1.78 a pound
Says in Illinois 90 cents pound. Average 17in or something might be 29lb i think so minus 1 for the extra stuff you take off so 28 x.90 is 25 bucks is what i was expecting and national average is like less. And my town oddly enough is max 50 cents so 12.50. Getting 7 bucks is pretty crappy. But ey guess its something

They gave you only .28 cents a pound...... prices had to be low. When aluminum is 56 cents a pound now
Been 0.40 in my hometown for a year now. Went to another town and it was only 0.30

Hah. I have a scratched my 19" diameter 6061 billet aluminum wheel that cost about $700 (it's a quality performance part) and of course, it weighs a little less than yours (maybe 21lbs). I knew that much aluminum would probably have *some* value, but sheesh... clearly all the cost is in the research and manufacturing! That much ain't worth the time for me, particularly since I'd probably have to also think about the ceramic coating on the wheel, heh. Thankfully my repair shop would dispose/scrap it for me for free (considering the value of the metal and the time/effort hauling it around, that's a deal for me).
Considering it still performs fine, just ugly AF, I could probably sell it and do better that way (whoever gets it would just need to repair and/or paint).
It's definitely worth it if you got a lot of them, and only if they're no good. Scrap is the LAST resort. It's the least value.

Hello I was curious do you know where the passenger air bag control module/ecu is located at in a 2009 Kia Optima because the passenger air bag sign always says “Off” and I want it turned on incase an accident happens
It could be under the passenger seat.

More then I expected I was thinking around $5 I sold a spare Silverado rim and tire for $2 cuz I wanted it gone and dude said he scraped it for $5 and sold the tire for $10 to a friend for a demo truck lol so he turned 2 to 15 I was just happy to get rid of it
