Every Eagles song I hear I think, “This is my favorite Eagles song.” Then I hear another one. This song is absolutely beautiful. I never get tired of it and it takes me back to childhood.
@@marcieharreld286 Yes, as part of the Eagles. I was talking about actual solo careers. Schmidt had a solo career but never had any hits as a solo artist. Henly, Frey, Felder and Walsh all had hits as solo artists. Not doubting Schmidt's talent at all, just mainly luck of the solo artist.
The Eagles were such a collection of talents. This many gifted song writers, voices and musicians in a single group is almost not fair. They are a cheat code!!!!!

Lead guitar All the members of the Eagles could be lead vocalist but most of the vocals were handled by Henley & Frey -Nice treat to have Timothy take the lead
@kathycuster1714 That’s Don Felder playing the guitar Joe Walsh was playing the keyboards on this song along with Glen Frey Joe is definitely a gifted guitarist but he’s also a very talented all around musician who can play keys …. Like on this song.
Technically correct, but Felder not so much. In the 6 years he was with the band (in its first iteration) he sang lead on only one album song. RIP Meisner & Frey, BTW. (you need to watch your spelling of some surnames, just sayin' ...)
I had an older friend in college (86-91) and he made me a bunch of Eagles cassettes for commuting. Every Eagles tape had a list of "The Eagles Are:" I still have some of them, though my friend/mentor has died.
Can't go wrong with the Eagles. Throw a dart at the board and you'll win every time. If you love this then you'll really love Desperado. You still need to check out the original outlaw country singer David Allan Coe. You don't even call me by my Name is an all time classic
You Never Even Call Me By My Name is actually “the Perfect Country and Western song”. I also love “The Ride” which is David did with a favorite @Black Pegasus country legend (or is it ? 😎😎😎)
My first Eagles' concert ticket cost me $6.00 in 1975. Needless to say, they went up after that!!! They never ever disappointed their audience!! I have loved them since they were eaglettes!!
Timothy B. Schmit replaced Randy Meisner during the formation of POCO in 1969. Meisner went to the Eagles and, in 1977, he left POCO to replace Meisner in The Eagles. One of Schmit's best with POCO is "Keep On Tryin'"
Timothy B. Schmit just KILLING it on vocals! Such a pure, warm, beautiful voice. And LOVE the guitar work by Don Felder. One of my very favorite Eagles songs--and I love 'em all! Keep going down this rabbit hole as long as they will let you!
Vocals by my favorite Eagle… Timothy B. Schmit. All Eagles sing. All. Most successful bands have 3+ guitars, piano and multiple vocals. Don Henley on drums, Joe Walsh on keyboard (best on guitar), Glenn Frye on backup vocals. There are other members who come and go but these are the longtime members. They all sing and all play multiple instruments. Not to mention the collaboration in songwriting. Plus they all have solo work! The talent of the men has no limit.
Timothy B. Schmidt who is singing here has a voice that sounds as good live. He stole the show when I saw them in LA years ago. It was angelic and gentle. I saw the Eagles 10 years ago and I've never forgotten Timothy's incredible live vocal on "I Can't Tell You Why".
Like the Beatles, every member of the Eagles is a lead singer. Their 2 biggest hits (on the charts) were this song, released their last year, by Timothy B. Shmidt, who replaced Randy Meisner on bass a year earlier. Randy had their biggest hit of all, TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT. Don Henley, Glen Frey, and Joe Walsh also all have huge hits as their lead singer.
Ok here it is , I am 65 years old will be 66 in May and have listened to the Eagles since Jr.High School . For me Take it Easy and. All time favorite is Desperado !! I really enjoy that you younger guys are now discovering what great music that is now what folks call classic rock that my generation of Baby Boomers still love !! Enjoy guys !!
This is Timothy B Schmidt; he replaced the original founder that could sing these high pitches Randy Meisner. The Eagles are absolutely fabulous each and everyone of them can sing and play. I didn’t discover them until 1980 when I was a freshman in high school and they were in the process of breaking up when I found their last studio album at that time before they did break up The Long Run! I’ve been discovered their other their other songs with the creation of classic rock radio stations. I became an Eagles fan for life. when they were reunited I managed to see them about four times. This was prior to the deaths of Glenn Frey, And the other deaths of the original members. But their music will live on forever! you’re missing out a lot if you don’t try and watch the Eagles documentary that’s on one of the streaming channels that shows how they started as back up singer Linda Ronstadt, etc. If memory serves a couple of them lived above Jackson Browne in echo somewhere California and they also lived I think with Kenny Rogers. This is indeed a rabbit hole. You have much to learn.
My first introduction to the Eagles was in 1972 when they opened up for Procol Harem at the Santa Monica Civic Center and their music is as relevant today as it was then. This is just one of those timeless bands.
What makes the Eagles unique is that multiple members, wrote and sang the songs. This created a situation where you can have one Eagles song sound incredibly different than another Eagles song. They have a fantastic song library, well worth listening to more!!! When they were really hot mid late 70’s they were easily a top 10 or 20 rock band in terms of popularity. When they broke apart several members had successful solo careers. AND that guy singing is Randy Meisner. He’s the high harmony vocalist of the group.
My all time favorite Eagles song... I saw them in concert in 1997. It was one of the BEST shows I have ever seen. They sound exactly like they did on the record. They sang their group songs then the artist sang their individual ones. It was life changing.
Band had a rule. You wrote it, you sing it. Love all their songs. Not a bad one. Love your reactions. Both of you! Nice to listen to people who try to get the meanings. Thanks!✌️
200 million albums sold world wide and 100 million of those here in the states. One of my all time fav groups. First they were considered a rock group, then easy listening, then "elevator" music and then country. Regardless of where you put them they are fantastic!!
Such a great song. One of the best bands and groups of musicians ever. And Don Felder on the guitar, wow. Got to see them 3 times and they're as good, or better, in concert. Great reaction, love it.
If u can get away with it, do EVERYTHING Eagles!! Don, Glenn, and Joe all have amazing solo music as well! Someone else u should check out is Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young! They are equally as amazing together, but also all great on their own!
Love Timothy B Schmidt’s voice! He handles the high notes! He also sang lead on “Love Will Keep Us Alive”. Can’t go wrong with any Eagles songs! I could go on all day about them! They are all brilliant! ❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
So much talent in one band. Heartache tonight, life in the fast lane, Best of your love, witchy woman, and one of these nights just to name a few. Peace out ✌️ ☮️
The Eagles have been my absolute favorite band for over 40 yrs. Their love of performing in studio and on stage, the shared talent of being able to play multiple instruments,as well as all having the ability to sing, all down to writing their own music...What's not to love and appreciate about this phenomenal group of individuals that come together and create a sound like no other... 🎼 🎵🎶🎹🪕 🎸 🥰
Love Will Keep Us Alive is another great Eagles song, with Timothy singing lead. I love his voice. He could sing the newspaper to me, and I would melt.
The Eagles are my all-time favorite band. A nice long deep dive into Take it to the Limit, Life in the Fast Lane, Desperado, Witchy Woman, Tequila Sunrise, One of These Nights, Seven Bridges Road, New York Minute, what they hey - everything they've ever done is stellar. I'm thinking I need to go grab my Eagles and put them on for the rest of the day.
Yup. This is that band. These guys encouraged whomever wrote the song to sing it. And they all contributed at some point. I believe every member has wrote and sung a song. And i believe they all had a "hit" too. Absolutely legendary band here gentlemen. Keep digginf into them
It was pure magic when this group of guys got together. The lead singer for this song was Timothy B Schmidt, his voice is awesome, the bass player before him was Randy Misner (RIP Randy), his voice was out of this world as well. A must listen for a taste of Randy's voice is "Take it to the Limit" just a total epic song and one of their many many masterpieces.
The live version of Take it to the Limit and Seven Bridges Road Randy Meiser voice is unbelievable. This is Timothy B. Schmidt on lead and yes they all had certain songs that they each sang lead on . Earlier Eagles Linda Ronstadts backup band.
Although they aren't my favorite band, The Eagles have to be the best American rock band. They had SO MANY great songs! My mom played their records all the time while I was growing up and I can't think of one bad song they did.

Their message hidden in the music itself, surely will melt the away even the most hardened heart's. I was so pleased that they finally opened up, and allowed the masses to add The Eagles to their own personal journeys as well. 💘

Yep, years ago when we bought records and cassette tapes, most songs on every album was a must hear and I wore out several from listening to them from one end to another. You take this song, then listen to “Life in the fast lane” & especially “Seven bridges road”…you won’t be disappointed in both the sound and the lyrics, but they’re even vastly different from this song and Hotel California. And to add, most of the band members also had solo careers that were really good. From Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Glenn Frey. Their original bass player who sang on this song/video passed away in 1977 and had another. But the original 3 band members had great solo careers as well for decades after while still touring occasionally as the Eagles.
💖💖💖💖💖 Love the Eagles! Try "Peaceful, Easy Feeling", "Desperado", "Tequila Sunrise", "Already Gone", "Lyin' Eyes", "Wasted Time" and "Take It To The Limit".
The Eagles are absolutely one of my favorite bands because none of the members allowed their egos to get in the way! They are all equally just as talented as the other members!
One of my favorite bands from my youth (other Pink Floyd). I saw them 3x in concert in their heyday. My son-in-law surprised me with tickets to their concert last year and they put on a great concert & used local talent- a youth choir 🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️
The bass player Timothy B Schmidt (ex Poco member) was a great singer. However, their original bassist/founding member Randy Meisner (ex Poco member) had the best voice in the band. Wish they'd never let him go. He had a beautiful high tenor voice. To hear him, check him out singing lead on their hit single Take It To The Limit. Amazing!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful Timothy Schmidt song. This band was most definitely noted for their beautiful group harmony. The song you need to react to next is Seven Bridges Road. The intro is amazing.
The Long Run album is my very favorite by this band. I just love the strong bass on most all the songs. Thanks for reacting to it! It takes me back..I was 15 and listened to it over and over...
My favorite Eagles song is sung by Randy Misner with the Eagles. Take it to the limit, is a must hear

My favorite all time Eagles song. Listen to it almost daily. This video in particular. Stuck in the 70s 😜
The Eagles are absolutely one of my favorite bands because none of the members allowed their egos to get in the way! They are all equally just as talented as the other members!
This is my favorite Eagles song! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of my favorite bands from my youth (other Pink Floyd). I saw them 3x in concert in their heyday.
My son-in-law surprised me with tickets to their concert last year and they put on a great concert & used local talent- a youth choir 🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️
Yes they really did take turns singing lead. Great reaction from you guys.
Every member of the band can sing lead. They are that good! One of the best bands of the seventies and eighties.
Amazing!
They are such a phenomenal band. Not many band have every member who sings lead on the songs they, themselves write.
I love that song and the Eagles. It is smooth kick back music. Very subdued. Perfect.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful Timothy Schmidt song. This band was most definitely noted for their beautiful group harmony. The song you need to react to next is Seven Bridges Road. The intro is amazing.
So beautiful, my favorite Eagles song!
The Long Run album is my very favorite by this band. I just love the strong bass on most all the songs. Thanks for reacting to it! It takes me back..I was 15 and listened to it over and over...
