Yes! Painting the kitchen white has made the awful yellow tiles and bench now less noticeable. Painting is empowering me while I get through the final part of divorce. Tackled the stationery buffet and painting it along with two chests of drawers. Transformed the bedhead too. Added a lot of art to what was all blank walls. For the first time my house is starting to feel like I live here and it’s becoming a cool home. You have been instrumental in my choices and I can’t thank you enough.❤
Good Morning HOV family. ❤ I appreciate you Valentina. Between you running a business and taking care of your family. You still have time to upload your video. I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us. ❤
Warm lights are good for mood lighting and lower than standing height. Daylight is good for overhead lights and task lights. Sometimes overhead yellow lights can be depressing and dingy. So, don’t ditch daylight lights entirely. Just depends on what you are doing, when.
The new outside furniture looks great! I love to putter around my home and tweak and dream and think. I recently decluttered...again and posted items for sale on Facebook and Craigslist. I also rearranged and lightened up my floor to ceiling bookcase. I just love the new look. And I finally pulled the plug, after much thought, (and youtube videos) and gel stained my honey oak dining table a soft mat black. What was I waiting for?! Love the inspiration I find here.
You must have been reading my mind on this video. I recently painted my bedroom wall Midnight Oil and I LOVE IT. Benjamin Moore paint is a game changer. That led to a snowball effect of looking a new furniture and so on. Maybe I can re-love what I already have.
*Plants and Planters* . I would describe my home aesthetic as rustic/vintage/cottage. I've had a pair of tall, very traditional planter urns in my dining room for years housing my spider plants. The obvious plastic look of the planters never felt right. I thrifted some vintage wooden crates for $5. One was tall enough for a plant stand to fill a corner. I spray painted a thrifted basket in Rustoleums Nutmeg, added a black bowl inside for the plants. I was on the hunt for a matte black tall planter for my Monstera. The budget didn't allow for something concrete. I found a matte black waste bin at Walmart, added a brick at the bottom for height. I now have a lovely plant vignette that didn't break the bank and fits my style.
Like your creative tweaks. I have painted plastic items in the past to look like old rusty, crusty vintage looks, think old iron urns or lichen mossy concrete. It takes a lot of layering of paint, the right colors, sponges, dabbing, eyeballing till it looks right. It's a fun way to turn an inexpensive item with "good bones" into something way more expensive. I've done it with wall sconces, mirror frames, just about anything you can imagine. People would never guess!

So true. Once again when the lifestyle control "terrorists" started dictating lightbulbs and lighting "laws" of what you can and can't have, I about had a fit. Years ago I discovered the I'll effects lighting can have on one's health and that was decades before the forced changeover when incandescents were "outlawed". I was work I'll bag in the music business and worked in rehabbed turn of the century, early 1900's blogs that we converted to homey offices with lamps for lighting. Then one job I had, only had fluorescent lights and I noticed my eyes were always bloodshot, I started having skin issues and felt worse in general. I found out the lighting was leeching out vitamin A and causing these problems. When the compact fluorescents came along, I was like, "No, that is a hard no for me!" I was then doing interior design work and all the husbands of my clients had put these horrid bulbs that looked like UFO's had landed on the nightstands, and tables, etc. I did a bunch of research and what I found was horrifying! They have, along with most of the LED lights really bad effects on your health. Everything from the earlier things I had experienced years prior, to sleep problems, mood issues, too much to cover here. There was plenty of research from highly credible professionals, but of course it gets squelched by the "controllers" of all things environmental. It has I'll effects on kids, who in the schools are constantly under these lights, as well as pets. Blue spectrum lighting is not compatible with the human body while good old incandescents are. I still buy the fan lights or broad based chandelier bulbs for the flattering and healthier lighting I prefer. I don't care if they don't last forever, i have purchased LEDs that are supposed to, that went out in a month's time. I don't know if the truth about these lighting changes is still on the net, what with the quashing of free speech and truth, but at one time it was out there for the average sleuth to find. One other thing, there was a true story of an incandescent bulb that I believe was invented by an "outsider". It lasted for some crazy amount of time, like 200 years! Of course, it was outlawed or "uninvented" by the powers that be. It was good for the consumer but it wasn't good for the large bulb manufacturer's (who shall go unnamed) bottom line!

Hello Valentina yes at question you yes got new coffe table for you deck what happen to the new one you got from Amazon like few weeks ago yes wondering please let me know
Great ideas on simple changes that can make a huge difference to how your space looks and feels; small changes really can be impactful on agreeing the entire vibe. Candles, planters, decluttering.... they're all relatively inexpensive and quick. That said, swapping out outdoor furniture is in no way and easy or affordable change! You were literally gifted THOUSANDS of dollars worth of free outdoor tables, seating and decor - so YES, if everyone had that perk and could just swap out our existing items for brand-new, completely free items, perhaps it could be considered an easy change; that's not reality for 99.9% of your followers, and frankly suggesting so is pretty tone deaf.
Don’t be mad if she plugs a sponsor. Outdoor furniture is cheaper than a gutting and redoing the whole yard. It is a cheaper option for the people who watch this channel. Her target demographic makes 6 figures or more.
@@firestick4991I grasp that as I am in that demographic. I understand "plugging" her sponsor. My point is that dropping a few thousand dollars isn't an "easy change" for most people, regardless of their income; that's considered an investment.
I think you can change outdoor furniture for not that much. She’s giving us ideas; examples. I put a darling bistro set for $150 and comfy chairs with charming pillows for $200 and my patio is now a usable area.
Actually the daylight bulb is the closest to natural daylight. The color is not blue. Once you get past the 5000 kelvins then it begins to be more blue. 4000 kelvins is also nice but that yellow light….. I just can’t!
Once again, 💋 to all your tips. I love my home more and more everyday when I incorporate your ideas. Thank you.

And then save $$ to hire somebody to help me.
I simply can't wait 💪✌️
Thanks again now back to your videos 😁😁🌺
I use the phillips adjustable bulbs that you control by the wiz app. I happen to like daylight bulbs on cloudy days so I can have them and then turn them down to soft white in the evening.
Do you remember your article sofa name? Thanks!

No offense, but there is such an echo reverberating off the walls of this room. Kind of negates a "cozy" vibe.
Actually the daylight bulb is the closest to natural daylight. The color is not blue. Once you get past the 5000 kelvins then it begins to be more blue.
4000 kelvins is also nice but that yellow light….. I just can’t!
Where have you bought the beautiful coffee cup? @houseofvalentina
