Aloha Koala~ It's so encouraging to hear from viewers how the videos help them. Mahalo for your kind words. Please share my channel with your friends and family in Korea!
Kia Ora, I am Maori watching your hula online in Ireland, I am enjoying the similarities of telling a story with our hands and body movements, facial expressions. I came upon this yesterday as I have always wanted to learn hula. I have learnt verses 1 and 2, can't quite get my hands to move as gracefully but ready for verse 3. Mahalo
Aloha Roimata from Ireland! Mahalo for subscribing and sharing your story with me. Yes! There are similarities between our dances. I'm so happy you have found iHula Hawaii so you can now learn the hula! The hands will come with practice - this is one difference between our dances. I do have a 2 part video on HOW TO DO THE HULA HANDS. This might help you as you are learning the last verse to Puamana. Let me know if the HULA HANDS video set helps. BTW, I am part Irish myself, but have never been to Ireland.
