Hi Adrian, just wanted to say I enjoyed listening to Lewie laugh his head off last night while chatting with you. I probably won't post often unless you post a recipe, gardening tip or other homey things. Ha, ha! We will be praying for you friend! Take care. Cheryl :)
@@adriannettlefold9084 I really didn't notice your muddle, as I am a bit on the goofy side on the phone (and everywhere else) myself! Lewie and my daughter keep a running tab on all of the nutsy things I come up with! They find it quite amusing and entertaining. :)
I actually thought that was going to be the plan, when we first started talking about me coming down there for a visit. But I could only spend a few hours there and Neal had it there for a job he was working on. The other machine was down the bottom of the hill and I think it had a bucket, but don't know if it was able to run or not. I think my 22 is in a bit better condition operationally speaking, anyway. 😉👍
Not as pretty as yours though James. But yes I do like the Ruston engine, it kind of sounds like a perkins diesel which are one of my favourites. Neal had thd shovel front for it, but I don't think he has any intention of fitting it up.
looked like the engine was an IH U.D. switchover job if there is such there. I've seen one 10 or 15-B here. The rest have been 22's or the 30 at the quarry with an Iron Cross on it for rock polishing. Run a set of tracks up to it and you'll be right at home. God Bless!
Hi Lewie. It definitely was a Ruston Engine I just can't remember the number stamped on it. I think the radiator was an after market job though. I'm off riding the 8 gauge fencing wire to Longreach this morning, so try give you a bell again soon. Cya.

@@steveallarton98 Thanks, Steve! I like the 1300 R's! Like the OLD Deltics that put out a thousand at 900R's with a 4-banger with a turbo. And a D-9, 8, and a 7 low speed snorter. BLESSINGS!
You’re too cool! Thanks for the video! 👍
What a brilliant gentleman! Even his overalls are spotless!
Yes. He built himself a sun dial amongst other things, a very knowledgeable bloke.

let adrian operate it. He will put on a dragline bucket and dig a pond with it in a heartbeat.💪

cool they labels the functions in the machine. stateside its pull a lever and find out if you don't already know what it does
Neal painted the levers the colours shown in the manual as well, which would be real handy if you want to change from a crane to a shovel.
nice one Adrian

Hi Lewie,
That’s a Ruston and Hornsby Class 3YCN
water cooled three cylinder diesel rated at 34 horsepower, at 1300 rpm.
Kind regards,
Steve A.
