Biiig QOL thing y'all should know: Go to remix options and select "pull spears from walls", "visible breath timer", and "escape centipedes through pipes". They are FANTASTIC options that will make so many parts of the game more bearable. Also, if you piss off one, ALL garbage worms in the entire zone will be pissed at you for the rest of the cycle. They will return to normal next cycle, or when you die. There's a room in GW after the toll where there are a couple pearls that respawn each cycle/death. Go to the toll and give the scavs 2 or more of the pearls to quickly boost your rep! DO NOT TAKE A SPEAR FROM ANY SCAV TOLL, THEY CONSIDER THAT THEFT. Additionally, you have both global AND local reputation with scavs, so buttering them up with items such as mushrooms, spears, vulture masks, karma flowers, and other items is good. Dropping your weapons at the sight of a scav is a good way to get them off your back. If you snipe iggy (fandom nickname for little yellow guy), you can give the eye to scavs, which is as almost as valuable to them as a pearl. Squidcadas are incredibly useful for navigation, and getting them to not be dicks is...an admittedly useless endeavor. You can lure Jetfish with blue fruits! It'll also get them to be nicer. You can boost your jumping distance by throwing an piece of rubbish and/or a spear. This will make your pounces go a lot farther! Finally: if you see an area calmed "Unfortunate Development", STAY AWAY. IT FUCKING SUCKS, EVEN FOR EXPERIENCED PLAYERS. If you see an area called "The Wall", THAT is where you should go.
More: you can eat centipedes! You have to kill them first, but the smallest ones give two food pips, and medium ones give a lot more! Jellyfish stun creatures if thrown at them, and can be eaten for food. Wiggling and jumping around on land will get leeches off you faster! Don't be ashamed to look up movement guides on the wiki. At the very least, learn about rolling, pouncing, and faster swimming, as those three are vital for later areas. Rolling will eliminate fall stun, fast swimming makes Shoreline and other areas much more fun, and pouncing + throw boosting is basically required for areas with a lot of bottomless pits/steep falls. Sleeping in a shelter with scavs increases your reputation with them! It's basically saying "hey, I'm civil and safe to be around." Jumping around and moving a lot is a threatening display to scavs, and WILL get you impaled if you aren't on a high level with them. Pay attention to their body language! Widening eyes and bristling spines are a sign of being spooked.
One more thing: creatures have HEARING, not just sight. Being noisy will get you sighted, especially with creatures with low vision but great hearing. Centipedes can only see creatures through movement, so staying quiet and still will keep them from pursuing you.
@ YES. Don't even try and grab the white things. Why? You'll learn later. If you find one elsewhere (as in an entirely different area), you can eat them! You can also bring one or more to give to the blue thing, if you'd like.
Me and my sister are loving your Rain World videos so far! We're seasoned Rain World gamers lol so it's fun seeing you experience it for the first time. Your editing style is amazing!! (Just please balance the volume lol the music at the end is *so* loud compared to the rest of it) Keep it up :)
An seasoned slugcat here, to share some tips with you, the blue and black rock like plants are bubble plants put them in water to make them edible. Also no you have not hit max karma.
13:06 btw sometimes you can find tiles that you can pass through by holding down or pass through from the bottom, in that spot you can just jump through the bottom. Also at pipe intersections you can press left/right when your front or back legs are near it to get onto horizontal pipes without jumping.
reminding u to update the description with the intro song (pls, i need to know-) edit: adding some tips from what i saw in the video (i am deranged) Tip 1: the little blue circles that were in the worm room before industrial/garbage gate are called bubble fruit, you dip them in water til they 'pop' and then u can eat them Tip 2: vultures: try to avoid sticking around in open-ceilinged rooms for too long, if you can't handle them try to pipe-juke them til they go away. otherwise if you have a spear, try stickin' it to 'em, they'll run away if they take a few spears (bonus tip: do not aim for the head if you aren't ready for a fight to the death) Tip 3: swimming: don't boost (jump button) underwater, it costs extra air. use only in dire situations (eg: escaping enemies) Tip 4: swimming: try wiggling 'left and right' relative to your swim direction. it makes your swim faster. so if you were swimming to the right, up and down would be your relative 'left and right'. Tip 5: always try to have something in your hands! even if you don't have spears, rocks are useful since they flip lizards around, stun creatures, and can free you from a bite if you're quick. you can also carry extra food to shelters (hoarding is fun + less time wasted finding food next cycle) Tip 6: don't get happy about shoreline and jetfish, the worst regions in the game are yet to come
If you have the dlc then you can go to the remix option and enable breath timer (I don’t know if that’s what it’s called) which shows how much air you have left on the bottom of your screen
Oh btw, You have a split second to attack lizards as they grab you, It was painful watching you with a spear and rock not fighting back after getting got by a pink lizard im ngl.
Little tidbit about scavs: The scavs at the tolls are much less aggressive towards you thank the roaming groups. If you decide to (or need to) raise your reputation with them, paying the tolls does net you some good reputation.
i need a new change of pants after this video!

12:55 That, my good sir, was a leviathan. Pray you never feel the hydraulic jaws of these blasphemous amalgamations of metal and meat.
Rainworld is life changing when you get into it
Pro tip never press A underwater, yea you get a little push, but it reduces your air by 40% making you drown in a lot of spots where you shouldn’t
first helpful tip I’ve gotten in a long time thank you

also, one other *preetty small* thing, is that do NOT eat flying white thing when you find a blue friend sitting.
