You are a great educator. I really appreciate all of your tutorials. I'm addicted to your videos. I saw one with Dakota talking in the background. She sou ds like a great helper and she's funny. Thank you Dawn!
One of the best tutorials! I know you laughed at your mistakes in the measurements you said, but your post it notes and written guides are amazing! Love all your brief explanations of the choices you made in materials and sizing. I think with this video I’m ready to finally try this. Thanks so so much!
I love this idea with the flap to close it.. It's exactly what I've been thinking about. I also love your choice of fabric !!! I like the inking on the interface idea. I think that I'd rather do that than trim any of it off . another idea I had as I watched was to stitch a satin stitch around the whole cover with the contrasting colored thread .
Thank you for explaining how to make a fabric softcover. It's looks so simple when you are doing it. Looking forward to the next part . Have a nice day.
Thank you for sharing❣️ I bought the most beautiful embroidered Irish linen table cloth and was saving it for I don't know what.... Well, now I know 💡😅
Your tutorial is great 👍🏻! I have been trying to find just the right Christmas journal but now I can just make one💕! Now if I could just find that material I had🤔! Thank you for sharing 💗🤗!
Dawn, your such a pleasure to watch you work. I really really love 💖💕 and appreciate your work, and the fun you put into every video. Thank you so much for sharing this with us all, it’s a great 👍 idea 💡, one I can see being acceptable for two little girls I know. Maybe in a smaller version. Thank you so much xxx Mags
this tutorial is the best one I've seen so far girl - downloaded ✅🤗 ty so much - I have so much interfacing and I didn't know what to do with it NOW I do - yayyy
Thank you for taking the time to put a tutorial together. You made it very easy to follow. I love your material choice too. Thank you for sharing. I've subscribed😉😃
This came up on my feed and i really like how u explained everything. Can you tell me what needles to use to go thru so many layers and what thread to use for this type of thickness?
I love fabric covers for jjournals. I do have a nice machine, but I'm thinking going through a file folder plus 3 other layers must be pretty hard on your machine? Since the file folder was cut smaller, what did you use for a seam allowance? TY! Love that Christmas fabric too, BTW!
@@thebookvandalshop5592 Are you still going to show us how to sew the signature;s in? , I manages to get everything I needed to make the cover's and locally too which was so unusual in my tiny town WooHoo
@@maryhill2105 I sure am! Hoping for Sunday (tomorrow). It's been a bit of a whirlwind around here. Brought a new 7 week old puppy home on Thursday and it's been a little crazy. I forgot how much it is like having a newborn baby. 😁😉

hello :) I'm a new subscriber, I love your videos so much and I really wanted to try this journal out but I cant find any 16 inch file folder, may I ask where u got it from?
Sure! I have a dark colored counter top which was horrible for lighting. So, I bought this piece of poster board and it has greatly improved my video quality
Thank you for making this SO easy to follow. I have seen many tutorials on YT but no one have made it seem so easy. I have tried one my own and it was okay but now you have shown the last thing I was struggling with. I just LOVE your channel so a lot of 👍👍 from me 👏👏😀 By the way I can’t get file folder so can I use a box of some kind, instead?
I'm not sure where that fabric came from. I've had it since last Christmas or the Christmas before. I think it came from Hobby Lobby but I'm not positive

This is a great idea. I would use sewing clips instead of pins. Thanks for sharing.
I don't have those. So pins it is. But clips probably are great to have!
This came up on my feed and i really like how u explained everything. Can you tell me what needles to use to go thru so many layers and what thread to use for this type of thickness?
It's been awhile since I've done this project but I probably used a 90/14 needle and either quilting thread or all-purpose thread

Hello my question is how would we measure if we don’t want the flap just a bow to being together??
Is there a part 2?

Can it be done without interfacing?
Yes
