    That just happened to me at 5:30 am just got off the hiway thank god. I have a 2012 volvo day cab on the dash. Light came on for low coolant and I stopped a a Gass station bought two jugs and it pissed it all off foundout where it was coming from then started searching the web and found you and its as you described... I can sleep now after I watched your video... thanks a million thought I was going to be coming out my pocket heavy

    Cost me $300 for all 4 hoses. A cheap Alternative is a 3/8 coolant hose every 2 years. In emergency situations, you can also loop the line with a basic footlong 3/8 hose, but the chances of cooking the doser valve are high. Better than a roadside call.

    You trying to put yourself out of business telling everyone how to do it themselves! ? Just kidding. I truly believe that your helpful, friendly, and fair disposition will bring you tenfold the benefit that charging high prices would. Plus you can sleep at night, and make new friends along the way! Word travels fast of a good, honest mechanic.

    The exact thing happen to my truck 2 weeks ago. Lucky for me I drove less than half mile, without coolant, to get it fix. I was one third mile from my delivery when the lines got busted. I drop my trailer at the delivery and bob tail over to get it fix.

    1 the coolant does not keep the injector cool, it heats in the winter to keep it from freezing, 2 the end you talk about is available in a repair part, all of the fittings are available, its a pain to make the hose, you have to heat the hose and slide it over the fitting,

    I have a 2015 freightliner that this happened to me while doing a regen. You definitely need to buy these hoses and keep them on you. I had a service come out with only one hose after sending pictures and when he tried removing the other hose it broke as well. Same exact situation with 2 parts runs

    I found that even when I'm home I use road service companies. I have two good ones near me. A couple of weeks ago my fan clutch went bad made it to a truck stop called around found one got a road service company to pick it up and come out and put it on next day. All the shops told me it would be 3to5days just to get in the shop. Think about what your time is worth. I think I came out way a head here.

    Hi fellow shipmate Ryan. I’m a brand new o&o and learning tons from watching your videos. Thank you. I have a good suspicion I’ll have to do this to my truck. My question is this, you showed two sets of hoses/coolant lines. Do I need to replace just one set of lines periodically or are there two sets? I’m a little confused because you showed two different sets. I’ll keep watching you in the tube and wish you the best.

    Cheap way of building antifreeze lines. Why the factory couldn't just use regular hoses and clamps ? Garbage snap in plastic lines.

    • @wojciechzgodowski
      @wojciechzgodowski 3 роки тому +1

      Mercedes, and many other car and truck manufacturers do the same things. Plastic snap in connectors. You buy a 100k Mercedes and once it's 5 years old shit starts breaking. They do it on purpose. They save money Durning assembly, quick assembly process. And they make money on selling new parts . Common sense they'll make garbage so they can make more money down the road.
