      I swear there must be some secondary competition only for them, where only the players no one else said gets you a point. It almost seems like they're purposefully avoiding the obvious players sometimes, which is an even better challenge if that were the case.

    The most obscure one possible for Cubs & Marlins: Adam Greenberg. Made his MLB debut with the Cubs, but got hit in the head on the first pitch he saw which basically ended his career, but 7 years later the Marlins signed him for 1 game at the end of the season to let him get a real MLB at bat.

      unbelievably, this was the first one i thought of!! I think it stuck out because that terrible hbp was, in fact, a Cubs vs Marlins game.
      One at bat for each team, as obscure as it gets... LOL!

    I've noticed very few people have gone to hall of famers and more historical oplayers on any of these lists. With all the blank spaces for minnesota and anaheim, kind of surprised no one got Rod Carew

    you should do a ref guess of player who played for every team in a location (LA, Texas, Chicago, Canada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania) but never left that location. might be hard to find guys but it would make for a great concept

    What's weird is I actually knew Cubs Twins, because I always loved Garza. I struggled everywhere else. What this show teaches me is that Bobby Abreu had a career Post Philly and NY that I forgot about.

    I ran through the Angels set with some of the most random names I could think of, because I defaulted away from the obvious. Got Justin Bour for Angels/Marlins, Ervin Santana for Angels/Twins, and Juan Rivera for Angels/Dodgers.

    For some reason I had the hardest time with the Cubs on this one despite being a Pirates fan that sees them more than any of the other teams. I had:

      I wasn’t thinking David Ross. I always associate him with just the Cubs and Red Sox. Rick Aguilera would have been an obscure one for Twins/ Cubs. To me Joc Peterson was my Dodgers/Cubs, but of course Bellinger would work there too.

      @@Retired_Detective51 Belli doesn't work yet since he hasn't played a regular season game for Chicago. Ross is one of those catchers that was around for so long and all over the place that he's a pretty solid guess for most of these, he usually works somewhere.

    Is there a rule that you can't pull Edwin Jackson/Bartolo Colon/Octavio Dotel? I feel like every grid you can knock out 3 squares with those guys alone. Scatter in Dick Mountain, Matt Stairs, Ron Villone, Fernando Rodney, and Tyler Clippard and you really can do any grid with a combo of these 8 and normal guesses

      I had Rick Aguilera for the Twins/Cubs. Nice guy, I recognized and met him at shed aquarium in Chicago several years ago during an off-day with his stint with the Cubs. Weirdly as well I met Jon Lester at a children’s museum in St. Louis in 2017. Super nice. It was a rain out on the second game of the season and despite hundreds of Cubs hats walking around no one recognized him. I got a discrete selfie with him. He was with his wife and 2 boys and I think he liked me because I shove his wife’s hand first and asked his wife if it would bother her if I said hi for a moment. They were standing in line to get the kid’s face painted. Great memory.

    It seems like the Dodgers have to fill a good chunk of their roster with former Angels every year, so it's surprising when people draw a blank on that one. Dodgers is the retirement home for former Angels.
