What are the dimensions of your new studio space? Your response will help me determine if A3X's or A5X's are better for me. I did see the previous post. The "office" room I use cannot really be treated (my wife said no), and the dimensions are different because, as part of the basement, it doesn't have a fourth wall but has a large closet providing a semi-wall dividing it from the rest. 8.5 feet x 11 feet (or 22 feet without the wall) x 6.9 feet, equalling 2.59 meters x 3.35/6.7 meters x 2.1 meters. (Low ceiling.) My production desk is half a foot away from the wall and about a foot and a half away from the corners, so my current monitors (HS7's) are away from the wall and corners. I compose orchestral, rock and metal, and EDM (I plan to get a sub for either). Thank you for your patience reading all this!
Hey, good video, i want i small speakers too for muy little home studio, and, i think the Adam a3x is the right way But, Tell me something about the low end between the hs8 and a3x, Who is better? Thanks and i Hope you answers
HS8's have more low end than the a3x but will sound hollow and boomier in a small untreated environment. A3X do a great job but you should really pair these with a sub of some sort to handle any frequencies below 60hz
@@OneFlow.Cacique depends on your room size and if the speakers are close to a wall and if you have sound treatment, perhaps if you provide that information I can suggest an option for you.
The benefit with adam's are they have a much more pleasant sound on the high end, honestly i have mixed tracks on the a3x in a room size similar as you mentioned and they were a dream.
I don't understand why subwoofers are recommended for mixing... That would be uneven on the bass being too much. Who mixed with subwoofers?? That wouldn't make much sense
Thank you for the great review! 😍😍
Thank you @Adam Audio appreciate the support.

Thank you for answering, do you think it is better to go for the a5x? or better to buy the sub and keep the a3x?

@@CooperCreative the size of my room is 4x3 is very small, and i have some acoustic treatment, i make hiphop so i Hope your recommendations.
@@OneFlow.Cacique my opinion the a3x with sub as you will get a full spectrum and a3x sound amazing
Are they any good for recreational listening?
Yes.
why not the a5x? the 3.5s are too much of a compromise low end wise.
your exactly right it is recommended to pair with a subwoofer a3x. The A5X are great if you don't have a sub.
What do you think a3x will be better for mix than Hs7 on small room 3x4?
Or h5
I have also such a bad room acoustic which way will be better
Or T5,7v form Adam

@@CooperCreative So in your mind 5inch or 7 will be to big for my room?
Решил оглушить заставкой?
What distance were the speakers away from the mic? That blew me away 💯
60cm middle placement each side.
@@CooperCreative 🥂And they were facing the 🎤 I take it... 💥💥💥
I bought a set for under 300 brand new basically half off with no compromise. From Amazon warehouse like new returns.
Epic!
just did the same from guitar center. hoping for the best. impossible to find everywhere else.
@@busywl69 mine are still going strong i live them on all the time 24/7
Bought some Kali IN-5's three-way monitors for £600!!! Nothing to compete with them in the price range. Love them.

good bye tv7 hello ax7
Whatever monitor you have is going sound crap with an untreated and uncalibrated room, even presonus can overmatch some adams in that way.
