- I really wanted to like this picture but the movie is filled with elements that felt as out of place as the title song.

Thanks for the video! I think, 10 years around 1970. This was the golden age of WWII-themed movies, there's no doubt about it, after all, they're the pinnacle of this genre, and they can't be surpassed. This beautiful song reminds me of Andy Williams and Broadway. Anyway, I love the heroism and romanticism of the WWII movies of this era.🤠✌🌈
Only one actor has that great walk .. Mr michum thanks Rob' ❤️
Although this was the opening song for a movie set in WW2, listening to the lyrics, I can't help thinking it's addressed to all the disillusioned young men who came back from 'Nam, considering this movie came out in 1968.
Hell of a good movie
Filme maravilhoso
There's no saluting indoors!🙄

Why a 1960 style pop song in a WWII movie?
That music feels like the equivalent to the rock music accompanying somel westerns of the '60s, like Duel at Diablo, except in this case, it doesn't work at all.
Lol, I read Jim Jones
Imagine The Dirty Dozen with this theme song.......crapola
Why not a 1960's pop song?
Good movie, but that damned soundtrack.... All the movie soundtracks back in those days were just like this with few exceptions. God this is a ridiculous song.
Its more like a big budget "Macaroni Combat" movie
Awful movie. Peter Falk wanted out, and who can blame him?
Extremly unfiting...
