Vision did not upload himself into vision. White vision had all the memories, but they were locked because of his death. Westview vision simply unlocked those memories, and now white vision is vision again.
@@MaybeAnt Yeah exactly. Cause Bruce even said there is a whole lot of Vision left in there without the Mind Stone so he's still in there, just not the same as before.
@@TheBoglin So in theory White Vision should have the memories up until Thanos ripped the stone from his head. so that should include that he fell in love with Wanda right?
Adam is spot on. If you focused on the picture the creators were painting it was a cohesive, tragic and a fulfilling story about wanda coming to terms with her grief. People passed over the narrative for Easter eggs and speculation. So much so ppl didn't really ask themselves at what point in the show would some of those theories make for a good narrative or logical story progression in a tv show format. I would've been pissed if that's how they introduced Reed Richards, they deserve more than that. But the story of Wanda and Vision was stellar and that's what this show was about.
Not only does Reed (or other cameo) deserve more, but so does this story. If John Krasinsky had showed up as Reed for a two minute cameo, all the discussion today would be about him, the Fantastic Four, who they were casting in the other roles, blah blah blah blah blah. Instead, we are focused on this fantastic 9 episode story arc and what it means for the characters that were here all along. The series deserves that, not to be overshadowed by a publicity stunt that has nothing to do with this show. And, of course... “Bohner”... heh heh heh heh...
@@rohanalias9053 oh I've no doubt. It's just been a bit disappointing how few comments I've seen about it both here and on fb. I expected to see more mentions of it, and just haven't.
Yeah the last two commercial seems like foreshadow... So the nexus thing is coming. We kinda saw that on the postcredit scene but probably we will. Dig more on it on dr strange movie
@@brianm3160 lol Captain Marvel and Wanda are jokes compared to the x-men.. Rouge put Marvel in a coma and Punisher killed Wanda I find this most powerful thing hilarious.
I seriously dislike how people try and hold their expectations against the writers. Try watching and appreciating the actual story instead of fooling yourself into thinking every theory you have has to be a part of it. The title of the show tells you what the point of the show is, and it delivered.
I agree with you and I like what you said cuz that's exactly how I feel. I'm stopping calling people man baby then started calling entitled bullies cuz that's the kind of exactly what they are. And it's so unfair for people to demand that the writers and the producer to bow down to the fanbase.
You can do both. I had theories about Fietro and Doctor Strange and how that connects to multiverse, but the show didn’t do those things and I’m ok with it. Theorizing about characters and plotlines is fine as long as you can still accept the actual story given to you.
@@AlasdairGR Problem is that too many fans refuse to accept that and get mad about it. I personally found it funny when they did the Ralph thing, because the writers did it on purpose to prove a point. And it worked.
Correct me if I'm wrong but Agatha only lost because she ran out of patience and gave away the rune spell earlier which is similar to storyline in a Scooby Doo episode. 🤦 Haywards character is a mess, the only real bad thing he did (apart from the ott ending) was lie about Wanda stealing Vision, which makes no sense in the story. Wanda is already holding a town hostage, so that's all Hayward needs, he doesn't have to lie about Vision as he could just say we have the real Vision here and want to use him to stop Wanda which would not make him bad. It doesn't make sense that Darcy says to him that he's going to Jail cause she didn't see him shoot... but why did he shoot?... it makes no sense as if he didn't shoot what could he go to jail for? 🤔 Quicksilver being a nobody who just happens to look like Quicksilver?! 😡 Because of these things I didn't think the series was all that to be honest, they had episodes that had no story and the episodes with story felt rushed. 😞
@@iwrotewords510 Hayward was trying to weaponize Vision under the guise of breaking him down, which they stated in the show was against his Will which made it illegal activity, he took advantage of Wanda entering the picture and was trying to both use her to help reactivate Vision and blame her for it. Sad to hear you feel that way about the show though, I felt it was a great way to dive deeper into a character and a great story about moving on through grief. But I guess this avenue of story telling isn't for everyone.
@@lolgyllenhaal the dark gold is basically a book that was created by the Being known as Chthon. An evil Elder God who wrote down spells and info (such as myths and legends) .The book itself was formed in the dark dimension and is formed from dark matter. If someone reads it, they slowly become corrupted. In some cases, Chthon himself can possess the reader. In the comics, Chthon gave Wanda her powers (or heavily amplified them) at birth and sought to use her as a vessel (in order to come back to earth)
@@lolgyllenhaal well she's talking to at least some dark/demonic entity within the Darkhold to bring to life her kids that never actually existed... Soooo yeah yes it's bad
I started cackling when Hector said she’s gonna learn magic from Dr Strange. I couldn’t wait to see his reaction when he saw her studying from the dark hold. Dr strange is gonna have to intervene now
I think it is dangerous for Wanda to be studying from the Darkhold. However, I think she was studying it because it was her only source of knowledge about being a witch. I don’t think her intent was using it to find her kids. As far as Wanda knows, they are gone, just as Vision is gone. I think that she is surprised when she hears the call from Tommy in her mind. I think that is going to be the impetuous for her searching out Strange, as opposed to him searching her out to stop her. Or it may be a combination of the two; Wanda is reckless in trying to find her kids, and Strange is attracted to her actions and realizes there is a bigger game afoot and joins forces with her.
@@TempestLA it may not be her kids actually, it could be a rouse, trying to get her to do something that may unlock Mephisto, then DR. Strange will have to intervene. will she try to protect her "children" and be against Strange? who knows. my theory
@@corrob Could be, but with the signs that they are looking to do Young Avengers, the need a have a good solid “origin” story for them. They have been set up, and now DS2 could be a good way to move them from constructs to real live boys.
Wanda goes through the five stages of grief throughout the show, further proof of how well written this show is: Denial (EP 1 & 2) Anger (EP 3 & 4) Bargaining (EP 5 & 6) Depression (EP 7) Acceptance (EP 8 & 9)
I love this mini series because it's essentially just a character dealing with grief. No crazy crossover event is happening, which is why I think a lot of mainstream fans aren't feeling it. Literally just Wanda dealing with grief with the big battle scene at the end because it is a Marvel superhero property haha. There are hundreds of comics that are just characters dealing with personal issues (all comics, not just Marvel and DC). Like one of my favorite Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) runs is the recent Life of Captain Marvel, where Carol moves back to her hometown to reconnect with her family and deal with some inner demons. No crazy action happens till the end.
@@ralphroshia9247 it connects but still very subtly. Bcus the creator was still focusing a lot on Wanda & Vision rather than easter eggs & possible crossover events.
"The show's not as universe expansive as we thought it was gonna be" It literally showed Wanda studying the Darkhold, which could open the doors to anything and everything magical in Marvel comics + the multiverse? That's more important than any silly cameo could've done.
Yes! We also heard her kids. I haven’t really seen anyone mention this but I wouldn’t put it passed her to try to find a reality in which her children do exist using the secrets of the Darkhold. Seems suspicious that we didn’t SEE her kids disappear. Even if the point of that scene was to see her accept her grief and say goodbye to that memory of Vision, it also seemed like a misdirect meant to distract us from the kids so we just assume they disappear along with Vision rather than see that they do. Is it actually her kids talking to her at the end? Is she being baited? We’ll find out in Dr Strange 2. And if that doesn’t seem like a potential doorway to the greater MCU than idk what is.
it's fun seeing you guys react to the show bc normally we've just got marvel movies y'all see in theaters and give the review for after. so it's been great seeing y'all's first reactions to this stuff in real time. definitely gonna be on board for falcon and invcincible too! you guys are working hard to give us content and trust me it doesn't go unnoticed!!
Evan Peters: If anyone other than Evan or ATJ showed up claiming to be Pietro, would we believe that Wanda would accept him at all? The casting of Peters in Wandavision plays on the audience's understanding that he was Quicksilver in the Fox movies. We accept that he could be Quicksilver, and we then don't question as much Wanda accepting it. Otherwise, if some new actor showed up, we would immediately start trying to guess that someone other than Wanda was actively controlling him.
....if it _was_ Peter Maximoff from the Fox movies...yeah, of course Id wonder who was controlling him...why she accepted him as her bother when he isnt wasn't literally the forefront of most theories. We all questioned it.Because...if hes Peter, a person disgusted as him, a random dude...thats...its not her brother. This is the first time Ive seen anyone say "oh wow, i didnt even think to question why she accepted him so quick, I forgot this character in a tv show didn't Watch X-men like I did."
Then why didnt agatha just make someone look like the mcu quicksilver? She knows how to do transmutation and can clearly give any random person speedster powers
Also, I completely agree with Hector on how the MCU sometimes has these moments where they pay off in the future and you wonder if it was planned or a coincidence. Like, for example in captain America 1, Steve says to Bucky: “where are we going?” And Bucky says “the future.” And the next scene they’re at the stark expo. But in the grand scheme of things, Steve and Bucky do end up going to the future.
There are two kinds of people: Those disappointed because the fan theories that they pulled out of their asses didn't pan out.... Those who understood the point of the show from the beginning and never read into nonsense fan theories, so they enjoyed the show.
i had a theory that wanda was actually a watermelon and the final villain was going to be a monkey that eats watermelon's for dinner....Now that my theory hasn't panned out..the show is crap 1/10
I'm in the middle where I very much enjoyed by the theories (i mean who doesnt enjoy discuss these awesome stories right?) but at the same time, are not too invested in them that I would've make myself dissapointed if any of them didnt pan out.
@@malik_rasyid - Yup. It was a lot of fun to listen to them and think, “Ooooh..., who knows!”but totally manage realistic expectations at the same time. This show paid off on 95% of the questions raised within the show itself. The other 5 could easily be paid off two, three years down the road. Marvel is all about the long haul. People seemed to have forgotten that.
Wanda astral projection is a “tie-in” to dr. Strange. It shows this to me; she’s a fast learner just like dr strange. Agathas line about her having the potential of becoming more powerful than the sorcerer supreme is also presented. Dr strange his body collapses when he astral projects himself out of his body. But Wanda is physically just doing her thang😎 and learning from the book. Which shows that she will be far more powerful and that she’s a badass as she should be 😁 That’s just my Vision 😉
Yes, kinda how like on the X men (comics, and on Apocalypse movie) is a big deal that Professor was able to fight apocalypse in his mind while his body was down, still, concentrating, and Jean could fight him both on her mind and on the real world at the same time, it ain't like an everyday thing telepaths/magic users can do, it's supposed to be a big deal.
In defense of Evan Peters casting, he's the only actor that could be "Westview resident who is being manipulated into pretending to be Pietro" and for the viewers to put any weight behind that.
So, okay, I'm good with that. BUT, he's also the only other real person beside Monica who had powers. Do you think Wanda gave them to him and Agatha just said, stand here in front of Wanda's wish so she turns you into her brother, or did Agatha turn him into Pietro, and either way, is it possible he still has those powers. Could he be Quicksilver now, regardless of his name?
I clearly must be an asshole, because I found the Ralph reveal hilarious. I knew at that moment heads were exploding and the writers were having a good laugh at it. Probably a very teachable moment if certain people would take the time to learn something from it. This show was quality all the way through, and if you're 'disappointed' because your favorite theory didn't happen, man, that's on you. Quality reaction and discussion as always, guys.
I loved this series, it really kinda felt like a comic book. Like a self contained story, that is enriched by already knowing more from the source material. And that also leads into the next stories. After this I hope these mini series become more common, I'd love to see all of the characters end up getting more lore to them. This is a genius way to get us to know the characters and care about them more, and still have the movies be focused on big baddies and stuff.
I think a lot happened in this show, not just Wanda becoming the Scarlet Witch. This show set up Monica as Photon, brought Vision back to life, brought the Darkhold into the MCU, introduced Agatha Harkness as a potential Loki type character, and introduced Wickan and Speed, who will eventually become members of the Young Avengers. That’s a lot for a nine episode TV series!
This was such a good series finale, her new outfit is probably one of my favorite re-imaginings of a costume in the MCU. What are the chances that the big mountain behind the cabin in the second mid credit scene is Wundagore Mountain...
Something I love about your particular reactions is the fact that you don't just fanboy every moment and stay there, you actually know what you are talking about, not just because you are familiar with the source material, but the fact that you enjoy storytelling and deliver a brainy analysis of what you are watching, and I cherish that. Been a fan of yours since Civil War trailer reaction and I'm proud of what you have become. Cheers, buddies, thank you for giving us a great time. Btw, my favorite moment was at 11:19 of your video, the first look of Wanda in full Scarlet Witch mode at a close up, it broke me. Nos vemos pronto.
I truly get where Adam is coming from, but as viewers who have been with the MCU for a while now, shouldn’t we also know that sooner or later they’ll deliver on these teases? Marvel Studios’ whole MO is playing the long game; WandaVision is the beginning of Phase 4, they have plenty of time to deliver.
@@louise9489 the show is literally titled WandaVision, so its story should be about Wanda and Vision. Marvel Studios is in a rebuilding phase, if there were teases throughout series and people were distracted by them, it’s not the show’s fault that we’re too focused on those than the actual story.
@@ald2975I think this is the Post-Endgame effect, everyone expecting ultra epic stuff right away, I mean x-men and fantastic four shit probably is gonna come out 2023-2024 but people want it now
Yeah and considering how far they plan ahead the movies and how recent the Fox acquisition is, it makes sense that they’re not doing anything with the Fox properties right now
I don't ever comment on videos on UA-cam, but I had to here. Two things: 1. Every single one of your videos is pure gold. I absolutely loved this show, and your reaction was always the one I looked forward to most. 2. I have to thank you personally Hector, because at 14:40 your "Oh, no" when seeing Wanda's astral form hit my metaphorical funnybone perfectly. I laughed that special type of laughter where it cannot stop for 5 minutes, and everything hurt after it was finally over. Thank you for that, it hasn't happened often enough!
@@jessec.6876 well she was shot by a drone and got out without a scratch, she was shot by millions advanced Thanos missles and survived. Was injured by the weapon of war machine in civil war that nearly killed Hulk. Cataract nearly broke her neck. And survived everything, so I do think she can survive a bullet.
The confusing nature of the show is what I think allowed for all the speculation and hype to develop, making it easier to tell the type of story that needed to be told. Also, I am now confident that any potential Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield cameos in No Way Home will be just two random guys named "Hugh Jass" and "Mike Coxlong"
I hope this show has tought some people some humility & to tone down their expectations once it's clear that they've been set to high or that they were just straight up wrong which is something a lot of folks have trouble admitting to themselves.
My favourite part of WandaVision was finding so many other reactors like you guys. I will always be a fan of watching the three of you interact. This show was a lot of firsts for me. First watch party I did online, first time I posted comments and theories, first time I reacted with other fans not living in my house. My favourite part was the sense of community. My non-saccharine moments are the decade episodes, discovering how talented Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are; the twisted teacher-student relationship between Wanda and Agatha. And episode 8. My fave. No question.
The part in the town square definitely gave me misunderstood monster vibes with her breaking down, choking them and letting them go you could see the people’s horror as well her own
This kind of storytelling is on another level; I was captivated from the first episode. Can we also talk about Elizabeth Olsen, and her amazing portrayal of Wanda. This series really shows her acting abilities, and I can't wait to for more.
I loved the ending of WandaVision and I feel the same as Agustin. I liked listening to the theories but I never put much faith into Marvel indulging us with any universe expansion so I wasn't disappointed with their "lack" of delivery. At this point, I'm really happy we got this beautiful series and I cannot wait to see what's in store for these characters.
Theory: Dr. Strange didn't show up simply because he is too busy. This happened within a month of the Blip and the Mystical community just had 5 years without the Sorcerer Supreme. Not to mention, they don't have their greatest weapon (the Time stone) anymore. Strange is probably having a hectic time right now.
Could also be he just didn’t know about the hex. Neither Dr Strange nor any of the sorcerers detected Wanda’s magic during Endgame so why would they detect it now?
I was wondering that too 🤔 its hectic as hell for legit everyone at this point, some things aren't being seen yet and so much has happened in those 5 years too.
I really do like Hector's assessment that the shows should be the supplementary material for getting close to these characters while the movies including them serve as these larger events. You guys are right. They are hopefully making it so that the shows aren't totally necessary for basic context, but having seen them will enhance the viewing experience going into these larger movies.
it has been a delight going on this journey with you guys. i've watched many reactions, and it really feels like you're the ones that did this show and all the characters in it the most justice. and not even just those elements, but also the way you dissect the story telling and how you got invested, how you appreciated the show for what it was, your sober opinions and views on the mcu and the premise of things, your focus on the things that were actually important based on what this show was about. everything in your content has been truly wonderful and a safe fan space; my endless thanks for sharing your reactions and reviews/discussions, and your knowledge, with the rest of us

I was very happy with the finale and show as a whole. It was Wanda's story and glad no special guests. Very sad when Vision had to go...again. "She's going to train with Doctor Strange." Wanda with Darkhold. Uhoh
"Boys, handle the military." Ladies and gentlemen, Wanda Maximoff, mother of the year. On a more serious note, though, people seemed to forget in the year-long drought of Marvel content that this is the first production of Phase 4. If they ever let the cat out of the bag, it would NEVER be in the first production of a new phase, and especially a new SAGA, of the MCU.
Very much appreciate your reaction and comments about the essence of this show... which is about Wanda's grief, her love for Vision, and at the same time her origin story!
The best episode because it resolves everything tho some stuff were dissapointing but definitely a great end to wandavision and really make wanda and vision good characters We need to understand this is the mcu origin of scarlet witch and not about mutants/mephisto,This episode is the last stage of grief which is acceptance. She accepted her past, vision's death, the twin's not real, she accept what it needs to be a hero and she accept her destiny to become the scarlet witch
Everything you said except for the twins. They couldn't live outside the Hex, but she physically gave birth to her children. That's why she still hears their screams at the end. She's looking for a way to let her kids survive.
The scene of Wanda saying goodbye to Vision was so damn painful but beautiful to watch. There are so many people in the world, myself included who would love to have a just one brief moment to say goodbye to the one they love one last time. And as tragic as it is I think the ending was the best possible scenario for Wanda. She unconsciously kidnapped and tormented an entire town of innocent people, and when they all woke up she accidentally started to strangle them with her powers! Yes once she became fully aware of what she was doing she tried to release them all but she still hurt them physically and psychologically. She left more collateral damage in her wake than the Hulk did to that city in Age Of Ultron. I don’t think she should go to prison but she can’t completely get away with what she did. So exile is the best and only option for her. But now I am super excited to see where her story goes in Spider-man No Way Home and Doctor Strange 2. Also she has chosen a far more beautiful place to exile than Obi-Wan, Yoda and Luke did for theirs.
The great thing about how the did the show is they set the tone. To watch your expectations because we aren’t dropping deep clues but seeding phase 4 and beyond. All of them will be realized later. It took 3 phases/23 films to tell the last saga. Also now we can rewatch this and have a new experience. They pulled off a romance and story of grief within a superhero film.
Evan Peters casting as "Fietro" is brilliant, and here is why. While it made many of us theorize the potential multi-verse implications, what it really did is keep us in the illusion by casting someone we could believe is the actual Quick Silver. Agatha's intent to trick Wanda into believing it was her brother was actually a meta trick played on the audience.
To expand on what was said around the 18:50 mark...Kevin Fiege has come out recently and said that you'll never need to watch the Disney+ shows to understand what's happening in the movies. When you unpack that, it tells us that NOTHING big will happen in these shows. No huge reveals, no crossovers, no bringing in Mutants. These stories will be self contained with hints of the future movie plots. And that's what you saw in Wanda Vision
No doubt this is the best reaction channel for Marvel. All other channels just watch the episode and give their view of about the episode. But these guys give insight to comics, give their views on broader MCU and they're just fun. Love u guys
Yes and no, they dropped out some stuff along the way. Thanos minion talking about how fighting the avengers would be courting death, then that part was completely gone, the mistress death part for good actually, but in that scene they acknowledge he knew learned about the Avengers and that wanted to fight them, motivation changed (from death to balance) but the scene still implied he was looking for trouble with them... sometimes they just throw easter eggs for the sake of it and they don't pay off.
@@sonnic1995 I think since it was the first avenger movie, they want to tease what’s upcoming to make us the fans excited. I would say that they didn’t really anticipated Avengers to be as popular it turned out to be. So they just tease Thanos and his comic book version but as the MCU movies keeps piling up they start to find new ways to introduce this, that. So plan changes along the way. But now having done one SAGA over 23 movies, they now got a concrete plan to know what to tease since they know what the will do with their upcoming movies/shows. It’s what I think at least.
Easily the most knowledgeable reactors for MCU. I watch other channels but I'm not as entertained or learn as much as I do when watching you guys. Looking forward to the next show.
What a ride WandaVision was. I give major props to Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios for getting very creative for this show. I cannot wait for Falcon and Winter Soldier in 2 weeks. But, also, I'm hyped for Captain Marvel 2, Loki, Secret Invasion, Spider-Man: No Way Home & Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Adam: "i'm a little surprised that this didn't tie into Doctor Strange at all..." (dark variant of "Dr. Strange" theme in the background of second end credit scene)
Thanks guys. It has been such a fun ride watching your reactions each week. My wife and I have been looking forward to watching you react to and discuss each episode almost as much as the episodes of WandaVision itself. I love your genuine enthusiasm and the refreshing approach of enjoying the show for what it is without needing to overanalyze the pattern on the wallpaper in the background. Can't wait for Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
I think in Fietro case, it's like Kevin Feige making a statement : "Listen, i don't care about Fox's X-Men. MCU's X-Men will be different. You guys like Evan Peters as Quicksilver? Well here in MCU i cast him as nobody!" And i actually prefer if they have a whole new casts for the upcoming X-Men movies.
THANK YOU!!! I felt like I was he only human on Earth that didn’t lose his mind over Evan Peters showing up, but instead got REALLY ANXIOUS, because I was deathly afraid they were going to start bringing in the FOX-Men to the MCU. I’m sorry, but I HATED the last... seven, eight?... X-Men films (basically everything past X-2). I mean, do people *really* want more Sophie Turner Jean Grey?
Wanda thought he might actually be her brother for a moment. The only other actor on earth that could convince the audience the same thing was Evan Peters. I'm convinced this was the thought process.
Also, the second post-credit scene uses Doctor Strange's main theme when Wanda is reading the Darkhold, which connects to Doctor Strange too. For me, that's exactly what we need for the presence of Doctor Strange:)
Fun fact: During the Halloween special, when Pietro shows the flashback in Sokovia, they kid actors aren't the same ones used on episode 8, so that's one of the reasons why Wanda "doesn't remember it being like that"…
In the description for the series in Disney+, it does say that it is a mystery, along with other things. Every mystery has to have misdirections, plot points that go nowhere, red herrings if you will, so that the audience is distracted from the end reveals. I think you will find that this does tie into Doctor Strange 2, but you will only find out during that movie. The series I relate this to the most, outside of the sitcoms referenced is the 1st, and maybe 2nd, season of Twin Peaks.
I loved this entire series. I didn't get into the major theory crafting and hype train that a lot of people did. My one disappointment was no ATJ Quicksilver, even in a flashback. Missed opportunity IMO.
But as Agatha said, he was on another continent full of holes. She would have had to either use his corpse or bring him back to life. There was nothing to say she was able to do that.
Having Evan Peters here is cool and all but at the end of the day he’s not MCU Pietro :’) If, and that’s a big IF, they do a second season for WandaVision I hope they have him there lol
Love your reactions! I appreciate how well you know the mcu and the marvel comics that it's based on. Very few others have that knowledge and still temper their expectations.
Thank you so much for the discussion. Yours was the most in-depth and insightful of any of the reaction vids I've watched, and you're so right about how all the theorizing came to overshadow the actual narrative. I wonder if the Fiege, et al regret not dropping the entire series at once? I know there's hype and money to be made by releasing it weekly, but in the end, did all the wild speculation diminish the gravity of the story they were actually telling? Also, 100% agree with Hector, Episode 8 is the heart and soul and climax of the show.
Thank you guys for having such an intelligent and thoughtful conversation after the episode. Most of the reaction videos and videos of the finale I’ve seen are just people going “okay, so theories x, y, and z weren’t answered so the show sucked.” It’s good to see people having nuanced conversations and deal with both the good AND the bad of the finale. Personally, I loved it, and I loved the show as a whole, but I also recognize that the finale, particularly, wasn’t perfect.
Following Adam's points at 16:30. I think I understand what Marvel's plan was with all the easter eggs, hints, casting etc. I might be wrong but I believe that Marvel was indeed having fun as Adam said while also hoping to use these elements to hit multiple birds with one stone and gather info from the fanbase reactions: * The meta casting of Evan Peters in the Pietro/Quicksilver role - knowing full well the kinda reactions that would get, it was also done in order to gauge fan theories & thoughts & answer a few questions for them on the back end - Are the fans ready for the Multiverse with all its madness (+ FOX universe)? What about the possible MCU intro to mutants etc? * I feel like the not-so-subtle setup of the "guy" that Monica mentioned a couple times was kind of a fill-in your thoughts/theories here for the fans, which we of course did in spades, for the purposes of seeing who fans are excited to see the most, so it could go like - "Oh the most popular opinion/theory we've observed online for this seems to be Reed Richards, you know what, let's plan to cast him towards a cameo on something coming up soon and move the FF movie up." - something like that. So all of these were set up in a way that even if they can't pay any of them off soon or at all, they would at least serve to generate enough interest & engagement that would increase the number of people tuning in to see the show each week - while hopefully not detracting too much from the main character arc for Wanda (your mileage for whether this worked or not may vary). All in all this was more of a business strategy for MCU rather than a mean spirited stunt/troll as I've seen other fans call it.
A lot of these theories came from the most throwaway lines and absolutely nothing looks, let's be perfectly honest. We don't know that it doesn't tie into Dr Strange yet. Dr Strange didn't show up, but we don't know exactly what that movie is. There have always been easter eggs, but easter eggs have never been promises of anything. Most of the time it's just a thing to make you smile. Honestly people thought there was a 666 on the toaster! It was nuts.
Even before the show started, Kevin Feige announced that it was leading and connecting to Spider-Man 3 and ultimately to Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness. They confirmed Olsen was appearing in it as an direct consequence... I mean 🤷🏽♂️
I loved the Evan Peters role. Also I had no expectations of mutants because feige himself said mutants would be at least five years away. Also they wrote this show and planned phase 4 before they fully had mutants
The song Fake Quicksilver Boner was playing on his guitar is Amber by 311 which has the chorus "Amber is the color of her energy" Monica Ranbeaus energy turned yellow(Amber) when the bullets were going though her
That part: 27:38. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 This series was mostly a self-contained chapter, a character study, part of a larger book. The future projects will pull on the "unfinished" threads of this series.
I have a strong feeling that the multiverse in Doctor Strange won’t be alternate earths, but instead a continuation of that trippy sequence we saw in the first one. So stuff like the Dark Dimension, the mirror realm, the quantumverse maybe, and then whoever has the kids, so mephisto or nightmares realm. It’s gonna be a multiverse of twisted dimensions rather than a traditional multiverse.
I really like that your critiques of the work is solely on the work and not the theories foisted on the work? All the cons you mentioned make sense and are valid critiques of the show.
Keep in mind that Feige has said that you will not have to have seen these Disney+ shows to understand what’s going on in future movies. I don’t think we should expect any huge reveals in these shows.
It did tie in to Doctor Strange though. In the secret ending in the cabin, Wanda is doing the mirror dimension/astral projection thing that Doctor Strange does in his own movie when he is studying while sleeping. Pluss the Doctor Strange theme is oncorporated in the end music in that scene.

@@TempestLA exactly. I 1000% agree.
Yes. The main story of the show is about wanda's grief. And the best way to end grief is acceptance, which wanda did at the finale.
I agree, there was absolutely no reason for Reed Richards to show up in this movie... it would have been pointless.
I was calling white Vision ever since they showed Wanda "stealing" Vision's body and I was surprised no one else was making the same theory.

Haywards character is a mess, the only real bad thing he did (apart from the ott ending) was lie about Wanda stealing Vision, which makes no sense in the story.
Quicksilver being a nobody who just happens to look like Quicksilver?! 😡
Because of these things I didn't think the series was all that to be honest, they had episodes that had no story and the episodes with story felt rushed.
It makes me so happy that everyone who knows the comics were like “OH NO!” when Wanda was reading the Darkhold
I've only scratched the surface of the witchy side of the comics, but I've seen enough Agents of SHIELD to know that this will NOT end well.

Same! lol

Wanda goes through the five stages of grief throughout the show, further proof of how well written this show is:
Denial (EP 1 & 2)
Anger (EP 3 & 4)
Bargaining (EP 5 & 6)
Depression (EP 7)
Acceptance (EP 8 & 9)
The "5 stages" are not linear, all-inclusive or even real for all people tho
The way Kathryn Hahn delivered "They're RUNES, Wanda" made the pay off at the end just so much sweeter. I love Kathryn Hahn and everything she does.
She is amazing. I think the whole cast did an amazing job.
Actually this connects to Spider-man No Way Home and Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness
@@ralphroshia9247 it connects but still very subtly. Bcus the creator was still focusing a lot on Wanda & Vision rather than easter eggs & possible crossover events.
"The show's not as universe expansive as we thought it was gonna be"
It literally showed Wanda studying the Darkhold, which could open the doors to anything and everything magical in Marvel comics + the multiverse?

Ah yeah good point
Sadly I don't see people make this point nearly enough. Fandoms have become so obnoxiously self-centered over the past decade.💀
This!!!!
....if it _was_ Peter Maximoff from the Fox movies...yeah, of course Id wonder who was controlling him...why she accepted him as her bother when he isnt wasn't literally the forefront of most theories.
“That’s the ending I wanted! God damn you Kevin Feige.”

Omg thank you! That last post credit scene is a direct tie in Dr. Strange without showing you Dr. Strange himself.
Baddass as she should be? She brings chaos and destruction much like Phoenix lol she’s no hero.
Yup, so Doctor Strange might not actually be able to fix what she is doing, but simply consult wanda instead to change.
In defense of Evan Peters casting, he's the only actor that could be "Westview resident who is being manipulated into pretending to be Pietro" and for the viewers to put any weight behind that.
Yeah, that's my view
So, okay, I'm good with that. BUT, he's also the only other real person beside Monica who had powers. Do you think Wanda gave them to him and Agatha just said, stand here in front of Wanda's wish so she turns you into her brother, or did Agatha turn him into Pietro, and either way, is it possible he still has those powers. Ralph is Marvel's way of telling us, "NO, we are NOT casting any of the Fox actors as the same character!"
Yeah, I had that thought about Wundergore too.
Something I love about your particular reactions is the fact that you don't just fanboy every moment and stay there, you actually know what you are talking about, not just because you are familiar with the source material, but the fact that you enjoy storytelling and deliver a brainy analysis of what you are watching, and I cherish that.
Dr.

"Boys, handle the military."
Ladies and gentlemen, Wanda Maximoff, mother of the year.
The best episode because it resolves everything tho some stuff were dissapointing but definitely a great end to wandavision and really make wanda and vision good characters
We need to understand this is the mcu origin of scarlet witch and not about mutants/mephisto,This episode is the last stage of grief which is acceptance. This. ^^^
Everything you said except for the twins. They couldn't live outside the Hex, but she physically gave birth to her children. That's why she still hears their screams at the end. She's looking for a way to let her kids survive.
@@my5head yeah i just notice that, im just referring to comics and compare it with wandavision
Love u guys
Whatever they hint at will eventually come to be... this is a movie franchise that works over decades... not weeks.
Adam: "i'm a little surprised that this didn't tie into Doctor Strange at all..."
(dark variant of "Dr. Strange" theme in the background of second end credit scene)
And Wanda astral projecting
And agatha saying the Scarlet Witch is more powerful than the Sorcerer Supreme. Yeah? No tie ins at all....lol.
The highlight of this episode to me was the Visions resolving their conflict with logic.
Talk no Jutsu done well.
Absolutely loved this finale! So damn emotional in so many ways.
"I'm so glad Wanda is not the villain"
*Wanda starts reading the Darkhold*
Yeah, she could very easily fall between the two sides. It's like a balancing act.
And she kept a town hostage.
You guys are the best. Thank you for all the work you did, producing amazing content for Wandavision. This show was so special.
Thanks for coming along with us, Ryan! See you at Falcon and the Winter Soldier!
You guys discussing about the disappointed fan is on point. I'm glad you guys addressed that.
I think in Fietro case, it's like Kevin Feige making a statement :
"Listen, i don't care about Fox's X-Men. MCU's X-Men will be different.
You guys like Evan Peters as Quicksilver? Well here in MCU i cast him as nobody!"
And i actually prefer if they have a whole new casts for the upcoming X-Men movies.
@@davidmcleod5133 yeap and nobody would want jennifer lawrence as mystique again
Yet they are still bringing in Deadpool who is connected to the fox movies still and I can see MCU purists go wild on that one
YYYEESSS!
Fun fact:
During the Halloween special, when Pietro shows the flashback in Sokovia, they kid actors aren't the same ones used on episode 8, so that's one of the reasons why Wanda "doesn't remember it being like that"…
Man Adam!!! I felt the same way about Age of Ultron and WandaVision has helped me enjoy that movie now!
Loved this series! Totally didn’t expect any of it!
I loved this entire series. I didn't get into the major theory crafting and hype train that a lot of people did. My one disappointment was no ATJ Quicksilver, even in a flashback. Missed opportunity IMO.
Yea, I miss ATJ. I liked his Quicksilver better. He was actually 'Pietro'.
But as Agatha said, he was on another continent full of holes. She would have had to either use his corpse or bring him back to life. There was nothing to say she was able to do that.
@@spiral5650 They meant that he should have been in episode 8
@@kimm6589 me too!
She is doing same as Dr.Strange astro projection in cabin. They are leading into Dr.Strange

@@rohanalias9053 I know but i was in hurry to go do something else.Astral got it now, in fact im going to watch Dr.Strange again.
"No more fan theories"
In stereo, "Oh no, she's reading from the Darkhold!" Middle guy just grinning lol.
I might be wrong but I believe that Marvel was indeed having fun as Adam said while also hoping to use these elements to hit multiple birds with one stone and gather info from the fanbase reactions:
* The meta casting of Evan Peters in the Pietro/Quicksilver role - knowing full well the kinda reactions that would get, it was also done in order to gauge fan theories & thoughts & answer a few questions for them on the back end - Are the fans ready for the Multiverse with all its madness (+ FOX universe)?
I mean 🤷🏽♂️
I completely agree, Hector! This channel is the best for these reviews.
I wonder how the Doctor Strange doesn't know all this. When Loki come Earth he sense it instantly.
Thank you so much gentlemen!!! As always, well worth the short wait!
I loved the Evan Peters role. Also I had no expectations of mutants because feige himself said mutants would be at least five years away. Also they wrote this show and planned phase 4 before they fully had mutants
Exactly!
The song Fake Quicksilver Boner was playing on his guitar is Amber by 311 which has the chorus "Amber is the color of her energy" Monica Ranbeaus energy turned yellow(Amber) when the bullets were going though her
They LITERALLY played the Doctor Strange theme at the end!! COME ON FELLAS!
Aka: the multiverse we saw already in Dr Strange 1
Really love your guys reaction to these episodes! Really happy to see Wanda evolve and become aware how powerful she truly is.
Vision cried in Infinity War right when Wanda was about to succeed in killing him, too.
I thought the same thing when Evan Peters started playing. "Amber is the color of your energy" and then Monica glows amber later when saving the kids.
I really feel sad about Billy, imagine him seeing his future being gone.
Well maybe if he is reincarnated he doesn't necessarily see that
@@donovan8530 Maybe..
It's okay, they were asleep when it happened so they didn't see anything.
That’s what I thought to can’t wait for the multiverse of madness
I’ve watched you guys react to this whole series & the Mandalorian, and I can’t believe I wasn’t subscribed!! I swore I was! You guys are not lying, by far the best reactions I’ve watched (I also can’t believe I’ve been sucked into this watching reactions part of UA-cam.. who am I? 🥴😂)
You're the best, that's who you are. Thanks for subbing!
Welcome to the club! And yeah, these guys easily have the best reactions on YT, particularly for comic book movies/shows, and ESPECIALLY the MCU.
