I served Edward and Joanna yesterday. I had no idea who they were until I was told today, and I can promise without even knowing that they were celebs I couldn’t stop saying how wonderfully lovely they both were.Truly my absolute favourite customers so far they were wonderful
What a loving family they are, her father is so proud of his children and you can already see the feelings he has for his unborn grandchild, beautiful to watch
"But I am very fond of music. I should dearly love to hear you play. My brother has told me he has rarely heard anything that gave him more pleasure." This is Emilia Fox, alias Georgiana Darcy, in Pride and Prejudice (1995). Never have I heard English pronounced more beautifully, with such a soft voice and suave sentence melody. When Emilia Fox/Georgiana spoke, English became music.
That was the very first movie I ever saw with Edward Fox in it and the first adult thriller that I understood as a young kid. I must have been 11 or 12 at the time and I remember the watermelon scene and the name Charles Calthrop. He was excellent in that. The first time I saw Emilia was when she played Darcy's sister in the brilliant 1995 TV series of "Pride and Prejudice".
This is so... peculiar. James is almost indistinguishable from the character he played in Midsomer Murders! The beard, the posh accent, the gentle way of talking and behaving.... Only difference is that James is normal and his character was rather quaint.
DAY OF THE JACKAL(1975) An almost perfect film with wonderful performances by the entire cast, headed by James Fox & Michael Lonsdale. Directed by Fred Zinnemann
Probably, at least in part, still on the BBC DVD which they're doubtless anxious to sell you - that's where most of the episodes are anyway...but you might be lucky...they've released a few complete episodes!
Still looking v attractive into his 80s. I was watching Edward & Mrs Simpson last year. This side of the family do alot for orphans abroad. Shame Laurence had to cast a shadow. What a lovely lad her little brother is.
Nothing wrong with Laurence, just saw an interview with his father James and James is not happy with the way the actor's union treated Laurence when there were plenty of actors that did bad things Kevin Spacey comes to mind.
Barrie Hellon-Warwick it has gotten better though. Most actors who come out of RADA these days don’t sound nearly as posh as that (and are allowed to keep their regional accents). Also, voices that tend to be plummy can become more relaxed over time (look at Patrick Stewart for example. He doesn’t sound as plummy as he probably did in the 60’s). I mean, I did watch Charlie and the chocolate factory with her dad as a kid (movie came out when I was 6; went to see it in theatres with my first grade class), never really paid attention or noticed the pluminess.
For a family that is super posh, they are very down to earth people…well, except for Laurence in the present day. What a beautiful family though! Emilia kind of reminds me of a more mellower Drew Barrymore!
Well, It must be interesting chit chat at Christmas. What did you do this year? More acting...bravo. And you Emilia? Erm..still got that sh. t role, and no I don't mean bog role.
Very sad that she had a baby with someone she dumped a year later. Even though she felt bad about her relatives destroying a marriage, she did exactly the same thing and left her child without a stable home life. Some people never learn.
Edward Fox, Emilia's father, was divorced once but has been married to Joanna for several years. James Fox his brother married Mary Elizabeth Piper in September 1973 and they were married until she recently passed away. James Fox has 5 children and only Lawrence is divorced.

Omg her dad is so proud of his future grandchild!!! ❤️

I was right!
I'm in love with Emilia since I first saw her in Merlin
I am in love with this proper English accent! Just can’t get enough!
I love the relationship between Emilia and her dad! It’s so sweet!
I served him yesterday and he is one of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Same for his wife she is just a complete sweetheart
i once saw Edward Fox at Maida Vale station. Wish i shook his hand. Always remember imitating him with one leg from The Day of the Jackal.
Indeed he lives in the neighborhood
This must have originally aired 11 years ago.
When The Jackal tells his little girl to "take it easy these next few days" and she gives him that look? I got a little misty-eyed. ;-)

The Jackal's a serious bloke.
Me too
I know, right?
It’s so sweet!
The Jackal has preserved good style in his old days, chapeau.
She's so pretty
Edward was good in Edward and Mrs. Simpson, and Emilia was good in Rebecca (1997)
Her mom, Joanna David, was in an earlier Rebecca.
This is so... peculiar. James is almost indistinguishable from the character he played in Midsomer Murders! The beard, the posh accent, the gentle way of talking and behaving.... Only difference is that James is normal and his character was rather quaint.
James should be Edward. I always get those Foxes mixed up. Sorry.

I try to watch anything Emilia is in, not always easy not living in the UK any more, great acting family.
That's all good and well, but where is the rest of this?
It will be posted in a few days I suppose, like with everyone else 😊
Probably, at least in part, still on the BBC DVD which they're doubtless anxious to sell you - that's where most of the episodes are anyway...but you might be lucky...they've released a few complete episodes!
@@cogidubnus1953 Not really interested anymore, but thanks for taking the trouble to respond!
Georgiana Darcy hasn't aged a bit
And her mother, Mrs Gardiner. 😀
A really handsome family
This is easily the most interesting Who do you think you are
Absolutely - I was thinking “Now This is really interesting!
I loved Edward in Force 10 from Navarone and as M in Never Say Never Again
amazing how much Lawrence looks like his dad in those early pictures
I am so happy to see you today after sieng your beautiful movie "The Pianist" so cool role so majaestic role you have act !!!!! God bless you forever.
What others see:- Emilia fox
What I see:- Morgause
Looks like Per Lundquist.
A real Anglo-Saxon family... 🌹🏴🇩🇪

Nothing wrong with Laurence, it's very brave to speak the Truth.
A shadow? I think he acts a light on the facts behind the claims.
Laurence is quite brave and deserves accolades for speaking the truth; a very rare will as of late.
Laurence is OK. Although his luck with the press is a bit like his great grandfather Samson
Nothing wrong with Laurence, just saw an interview with his father James and James is not happy with the way the actor's union treated Laurence when there were plenty of actors that did bad things Kevin Spacey comes to mind.
Didn’t she play Georgiana Darcy in the 1995 BBC Pride& Prejudice?
yes
It's very sad that Edward Fox's father died just 2 years before The Day Of The Jackal was released.
It very interesting about actress is amazing things
The Jackal still very suave and debonair
And alive...apparently.
Hmm. Her dad was 3 when her grandfather died (d.1971)? That makes her dad 52 now? Wow, he must have lived a hard life.
No, he said Robin died in 1971, there years *before Emilia was born*. And then later he says her father was 33 when his father (Robin) died.
@@alleeum Sorry, you're absolutely correct, I missed the Robin part. Her dad looks alot better now 😕
This was filmed in about October 2010, so Edward Fox would have been 74 at the time. He looks fine for that age.
I did not now Edward Fox have so pretty girl.....Edward Fox is a very good actor i like England to as a Swedish i think in humor , we are very close.
She Is Lovely Sweet Ntural. God Given Talent👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
That is a plummest accent I have heard in a while. Emilia's dad that is.
That “Ya” at 5:16 just killed me.
They learn to speak like that at RADA, actors faking it to the grave...

the whole extended family is posh yet cousin Laurence doesn't believe he's been born into privilege !

It's too bad her cousin Laurence has turned so crazy.
Not as crazy as you Woke are attacking anyone who has different views that you.
@@SunnyInJersey Bye Felicia.
when he gets a divorce from her? every one in Fox family, divorced right?
