A simple first mod for me which I did make sure I had when I got mine brand new was a kick start lever, can't depend on electric start to always be reliable for years to come so many people look past it but I wouldn't of bought mine if the options wasn't available
My Required mods regardless of type of offroad use: Bash plate, hand guards, radiator guards, case covers, proper knobbies My 3 best for ADV: Bigger tank (28L on mine), higher gearing, rear rack. Seat is a $30 DIY job so I didn't count it in my list
Hi Josh, I noticed that black flap covering your chain, what is that? And ah I wish we could get the Suzuki bash plate in North America. You Aussies are lucky!
How much do you have invested? Before ppl always told me to do the 3xe mod first but I am not in the mood to put in a new jet in the FCR carb. Pulled it once and wow it's frustrating.
Love the Safari fuel tanks, but why oh why are they black, they look terrible... Wish they came in custard colour! Also a bit worried that I'll fall off (again) and the tanks spring a leak. Am also worried about the seat height. I had a 650 V-Strom before and had to lower the front forks, the rear shock and also buy an incredibly expensive seat (AU$350 just to get another 1" drop). And I still fell off another 5 or so times. Much embarrassment!!I Really like this bike so am going to bike shop to see if I can sit on it comfortably. 😁😁
@@_JoshJB_ Youre not mistaken, they had yellow listed on their site, i just never noticed it before. I had the translucent one on an ancient KLR650 and hated it.
My Ténéré had a dogshit gearbox. The fker sometimes be notchy, other times not shift. Sometimes preloading it would work, other times it wouldn’t. Changed oil, different oils. Mech couldn’t figure it out, so got rid of the POS. went to a VStrom, butter smooth shifting. I bet a DRZ would have a smooth shifter. My DR certainly did as well.
Looks great man! That B&B rear rack is cherry!

Find a decent hill and clutch start it.
Was it difficult? I'd live a kick start as a backup
I agree , but case guards as well . Great video , beautiful DRZ ! Thank you.
Keith jahn yes another important mod for sure!
I liked that one from Gympie.
#4 headlight upgrade the candle for the LED replacement difference is literally night and day
Bikes looking good, I'm slowly getting mine set up.
Gearing also. 15/44
Re route the carby breather hoses so it won’t stall in the water (free mod).
I was thinking about inverted front suspension

I'd like a more comfortable seat. How did you do it for $30?

The chain guard? It’s just the factory one that comes on the bike 👍🏼

Relax dude, they come in other colours. White and clear, maybe even yellow if I’m not mistaken. 🤙🏼

@StarFyre in my experience the translucent become brittle and crack
Definitely yellow.
