Beijing local don't visit great wall either, does this means its superficial? Nonsense, people just never curious because they grew up there. I first realize how beautiful beijing was until i live in overseas.
Not for Shanghai residents but for visitors it’s a must see place. I like to take visitors to Yu Yuan Garden, especially children. They love the the rock mountains and grottoes. We all marvel at the elegant traditional Chinese architecture and its beautiful garden. A very peaceful place in the heart of the busiest business streets.
@@weizhang2834 I don't know about Beijing, but the places like YuYuan are famous for ripping off tourists because somehow all foreigners love to visit there and that give the vendors advantage to exploit their popularity.

Not superficial, but more like beaten path. Just like Parisian usual prefer some local restaurants over tourist-packed restaurants.
