This was a great video! You captured so much of the community feel of conventions! Yes, they're places to buy and sell neat games and those gems, but there's so much to discover, so many people to catch up with, and just a community to be a part of

(big fan of adam's work I heard someone donated a retro-bit wireless pad so it'd make it easier for people to play it without having to worry about something happening to the console you know how corded controllers go with being a tripping hazard and what have you.) WHOA the freakin' elemental gearbolt combo pack with the gold gun-con, I remember the magazine contest where you could win one of those.... that's freaking SICK! so much cool stuff I am definitely thinking a pilgrimage back to sac is in order one of these years...
I missed out on the expo this year. Too close to Christmas so I'm out of state visiting family
Dissapointed I missed out on seeing some interesting faces there that didn't attend in previous years.
Man if I where in the Sacramento area, I'd love to vist yall in a heart beat. I'm actually moving to Chico this summer. So hopefully I get to go to con some day and hope you go again in 2022.

Like you I was invited. All of us who have been invidted should get together and play some 4 player games just like you mentioned. That is precisely why I bring 4 player games to the convention for free play. As you pointed out it is not something you can do at home too often but you definitly can play 4 player at a convention.
Lived in SAC my whole life and had no idea there is a coin-op bar downtown.

@@JohnRiggs unfortunately I am a long haul trucker so I was not even in town! I still wish I had known. I passed it along to a friend who missed it also. They are right down the street from the Scottish Rite Center.
if you do the open cart surgery on the n64 game a common fault is the plastic piece inside that rubs and breaks traces after the connector pins.

That was actually Kup, not Wreck-Gar.
And I agree about Quickswitch (the transformer next to Kup.) He came out in 1988 when I felt that Transformers were looking more cheap than ever. I had his "father" SixShot (another 6 changer) when he came out in 1987 and his build quality was much better.
I want to know how that Gameboy camera set up works. It looked like there was a laptop somehow connected to the SNES. Was that connected to a digital capture set up?

Ok so Gameboy Camera-to-Gameboy player for the SNES-to-SNES-to-video capture via composite video cable-TV laptop-to-OBS for a screen capture. And then print the screen capture. Does that sound right?
