What a beautiful tone you have. Your playing is marvellous. The 1st harp sounded richer to me, as in more powerful, deeper tones and fluidity. Is one easier to play than the other?
Hi Philip, I started the diatonic harmonica a month ago after I got bored and wanted a break from guitar, although I'm not super proficient at diatonic yet do you think it would be possible for me to transfer to chromatic this early in my learning, I've always preferred the sound of a chromatic harmonica and I think it suits jazz more. Any advice would be appreciated👍
Hi Filip, wonderful playing, as always. What preparation has been done on these harps, or are they out of the box? I would imagine at least some tuning went into the SCX?
Thanks! They are out of the box. The G48 is 10 years old, some tuning done and valves changed over the years. The SCX is just from the box, maybe 5 years old, no re-tuning done yet.
@@FilipJersMusic I was afraid you would say that... ;) so the difference between the 2 first adjacent C notes on my SCX48 might come from me and not the harp... Well, I will soon find out, new tuned SCX56 expected soon.
Beautiful playing ! I have a G48, but im thinking of getting the scx model as well in a different key. Are they much different ? Which one do you preffer ?
Thanks! I like both. The SCX feels lighter and more bright, while the G48 series have more power and tone. Like a car with more power. Sometimes you want that, sometimes not. Try a SCX in G or A, lovely instruments!
Allt gott, Filip
G48 sounds a little smoother, the voice is thicker. SCX clarity of articulation is better. The dinamics are in the favor of SCX. G48 feels like less responsive at the beginning of the note, almost like there is some delay before reed opens. Sorry Filip, I know you spent more on g-48, but... that's why I sold my G48 and purchased another Sirius. Maybe it's just me?
@@FilipJersMusic but I rarely notice it anymore. But if it happens (and it does) that I fall behind with practice for almost a week, i pick up the SCX to get back in shape. It’s almost like running 🏃♀️
@FilipJersMusic Dear Filip, I've noticed that effect by listening to your virtuoso playing. As a listener. Observation just triggered my memory. Because I expected G-48 in your hands to be on the very top, in every respect, over SCX. But something felt just tiny bit off.. Again, most likely, it's just me.
Bravo; beautifully done!
Thanks Don!
Which one is which?
Also have the scx 64 and I love it!
Happy to hear! I also have a SCX 64. But took the 48 for this video. Maybe I should do a video on Sirius vs SCX 64 as well?
That’s not a bad idea 👍

Cool, thanks! No they are the both easy to play. First one feels a bit lighter thought, second one feels a bit smoother.
I love your style of playing harmonica.
It's so wonderful. Thanks for your wonderful music.
Sorry, my english is not so good 😟.
I big fan.

Thanks for your kind words! 🎶🌞🎶
I love both, Filip... but... may be the first one, and I don't know why :) You are an excellent musician.
Thanks!
I like the first one,is more sweet the sound
I love both 👍
Thanks! Yes me too... :-)

What is the song?
Polka dots and Moonbeams I believe.
Incrível!
What a musician! Beautiful stuff.
Thanks!

nice hd25
Bonjour Filip, vous êtes un excellent musicien ! Quel est celui que vous préférez ? Le G48, non ? a bit smoother than the SCX18, je trouve !
Yes, G48 is more luxury while SCX is a lot of harmonica for the money 🎵🎵🎵

Wow interesting! I don't have that feeling when playing.
For me The G48 requires a bit more air pressure. The SCX is for me easier to play and I can play faster.
@@JeppeJazzHarmonica yes, G48 has longer reeds and thicker reed plate so it requires more air and pressure.

The first is the scx Ofcourse. The second is the G48
