Lonnie, you do very good. Stop beating up yourself!! Every one goofs up sometimes. Ten years from now no one’s going to remember. 😊 Never put yourself down. MHO you and Candace are the best at this game.
Hey y'all, just wanted to say its good to see your setup. I have about the same amount of items as y'all in your store but you're just further along. I've only been at this for under 2 years. I hope to keep it going and sell as much as you guys do. Keep it up!
Was on a Facebook group, was told I was an a-hole for not congratulating a woman for having 3k (or some number) she even said that her sales where going down. Meaning she was just listing garbage. My inventory goal is zero.
I left one because if you do things differently than others they would prefer to argue and tell you how you should do it their way rather than what you do. Most just seemed to be there to argue and chest thump
@@DiamondTrailRanchSure, we all have some long tail items. But it should not make up a large portion of your store. That is just tying up space and capital.
Military lots also work well for hot wheels. I once sold 40 1986 carded hot wheels in two auctions of 20. Back when you could only do auctions on ebay. I got around $3 each. Thanks for all your great videos!
Because I have limited space, my goals tend to lean more towards only having so much unlisted items on hand. So for me it's more like "My goal is to empty X number of boxes by the end of May." I personally need a computer. I cannot see well enough to do anything on a phone. I basically only use my phone for calls. The screen is just not large enough for me to do much else. So if anything happens to my computer, I have to replace or repair it immediately. It's essential to me selling on Ebay.
I've been listing for 17 years and all of it was done through my phone. When it comes to weight and printing I print from desk top and use the Dymo shipping scale and a Rollo thermal printer.
Wow didn't even know you could list from a phone in 2007. You were definitely one of the early ones. Were you using the first iphone to do it right after launch?
@shedflips oh, maybe I'm off a few years. I don't remember ever having an iphone though it is possible. Every time I call ebay support they say thank you for being a seller on eBay for 17 years.
Phone vs Laptop: i do use my iPad in Desktop to look at my eBay data and messages, but do almost almost all of my initial listing work on a Mac Book, with a 2nd Mac as a spare. I do take and upload photos with my phone.
One slight correction for you, unless you and I are thinking of different things. Once when I was up against a total number of listings limit for my store, I asked the question to the person I was working with at eBay for Business: If I have 10 items of 10 items each (100 items), does that count as 10 listings or 100? The answer I got at that time was that multi item listings count as the total items you have listed, not the total number of SKUs, so in my case with 10 listings of 10 items each, that was counting on my total as 100 listings. That could have been the issue I was having with my account at that time and not the general rule, so I can't say with 100% certainty that this is the case for all sellers in all situations.
As with everything on ebay, there are exceptions. As a postcard seller it is absolutely imperitive to have a large number of listings. I would argue the same for lower-dollar sports cards sellers and probably several other categories. With postcards there are so many varieties, niches, subjects, sub-subjects, sub-sub-subjects, artists, and places in the world, it really behooves sellers to have as wide a selection and variety of price points as possible. You can certainly cherry pick collections and bulk out the remainder, but I would argue that it is very risky to do so since it is very easy to invest so much time doing so that your profit evaporates as your hourly rate plummets.
My daughter finished her sales a few weeks ago. She ended up selling 8000 boxes herself. We are awaiting news if she was the top council seller (again). I need to get her selling items on my eBay store. 🤣
I've been trying to sell on Etsy. It's hard to get sales for me but I will still try. The items you sell don't need to be vintage as long as it is a supply item. Craft items are good. I see people selling modern items such as wall hooks, Temptations by Tara, etc. Although I don't agree with this if they allow it why not. They've lost their handmade, vintage appeal in my eyes.
Lonnie I hope you didnt drop my order? I wanted to hear Italiana and I bought that small guy that I named little Lonnie. thank you for what you guys do. I try and buy when I can
i think you should answer no more than 2 questions in a short video and using the remaining time to promote your items before you list. just a suggestion of course not any criticism. Always love your videos!
Hi guys love your videos. Thanks for all the information. QUESTION, not resale related. CAN WE BUY COOKIES ONLINE TO HELP OUT. We’re in Las Vegas, NV Anna&Terry.
I have a question for anyone who wants to answer. I had a return request from a buyer the other day, because an electrical item 'had corrosion in the battery compartment'. I had listed the item as 'spares/repair', shown the corrosion in the photos, and mentioned it in the description. Who wins here? the buyer or seller? I believe the buyer purchased without looking at any of my listings details.
@@RedSpectrumPictures if you indeed put parts only working in the drop down, did you put no returns in that part of the listing. If you did you can deny the return. If not then you will have to accept it, but I would not refund the shipping or pay the return shipping.

I use Numbers spreadsheet to keep track to sales/items and print labels using pirate ship with a wireless label printer. I only use computer to run sales and bulk operations. I'm planning on trying out a Chromebook to see how well it works since they are so inexpensive.

I could not agree more. Whenever someone complains about sales, it is almost always because they list junk no one wants.

Is junk accurate though. A lot of items are long tail

They don’t allow it sadly but people list things on Etsy they should not. Eventually the shop will be suspended and removed though
I prefer listing on my iPad and I have a Apple laptop. I use it in browser mode. I have a laptop I use for some things.
