@@sidirodromeas whats the deal with the Bulgarian Railways' 55 153? was it purchased as a restoration project too? also someone else mentioned the A557. sadly i think its basically impossible to restore it, as most ALCO-Electroputere examples in Romania are either just shells of their former selves or outright scrapped. i know there was a somewhat intact ALCO loco made by FAUR but idk its whereabouts and an ALCO-Electroputere loco converted into an electric locomotive in the late 1980s/early 1990s, but i also have no idea what happened to it. there were also examples exported to Iran but they are also likely long gone. i doubt anything can be done to A558 without the documentation or a spare ALCO engine. if you, somehow thru a miracle, find a way to restore that aswell, then we all wish you best of luck...
@@CFRTrainSpotter Thank you! 55 153 belongs to a rail contractor for tracks and other maintenance work. It's not for restoration. He was kind enough to let us use it for the purpose of moving the old Alco. A557 will never be restored.
@@sidirodromeas out of curiousity regarding A557 (i think it was), i did some research and saw that all the engines were taken out and parts of them were used to refurbish the A501 series' engines. but apparently the ALCO 251 engine family is still made to this day by the Fairbanks Morse in the USA. additionally there is only one example of the Electroputere/FAUR locomotives with ALCO engines still alive somewhere in Italy! the problem is, even with that, its very hard to conduct such a restoration. im not sure how much the climate has damaged the shell of the locomotive having sat 25 years immobilized, secondly a new engine probably costs a lot of money, thirdly i have no idea if that Italian infrastructure company that operates "the last mohican" has the original documentation and parts to keep it running... so it is possible, but very highly unlikely that it will be carried on. plus i imagine that the restoration of the A304 will take several years, if not a decade to complete, so having another locomotive in the list would make matters worse, financially speaking. in any case i wish you best of luck.

Ευχαριστώ! Η μηχανή ήταν στον Μπράλο όταν πρωτομεταφέρθηκε και με την 'μούρη' της προς την δύση. Αποφασίσθηκε να μεταφερθεί στο Λιανοκλάδι, να αλλάξει προσανατολισμό εκεί, και να επανέλθει στον Μπράλο με τον θάλαμο οδήγησης της να βλέπει την ανατολή :-)
