Just a quick video showing how to replace the front brake pads and Rotors on a 2016 Audi Q5 2.0t Premium. I said Quattro in the video because this is awd, but not sure if it's really called 'Quattro'.
These pads were completely worn down, but as you can see in the video, the rotors were completely glazed over and not stopping very well. The wear indicator didn't trigger the dash light warning to come on, but the owner was hearing brake noise.
Tools Needed:
Large Screwdrivers or a disc pad spreader
small screwdriver or prying pick
21mm Socket and Breaker Bar or impact wrench to remove the caliper bracket bolts
T-30 Torx bit or driver for the rotor screw
Torque Wrench
Brake Grease
Brake Cleaner
Wire Brush
Torque spec for the Larger Caliper bracket bolts is 144 ft. lbs. (196 NM)
Here's a video I made of replacing the rear brake pads on this same vehicle:

The “Tanya Harding” Got me in tears 😭😭😭
Brrrrrooooooooo!!!!! 😂😂😂
Great in depth video!
Great video, easy to follow- Thanks !
Very nicely done! Thank you 😂
Clean job
Thanks for the great video. I am getting my Macan ready for inspection and took a look today. I'm going to need help with the 21 mm bolts. Did you use the jackstand to level up the control arm to make it easier to get the impact gun in place?
You help me so much. Thank you. Plus, you safe me a few hundred dollars. Keep up the good work
Thank you so much! So happy to hear you saved some money!
Take care,
-Dan
Rotor size 320mm or 345mm?
my front caliper pins are always frozen stiff (can't knock them out! corroded) - and have to take a reciprocating saw to get them off
I did this and now have a electronic parking brake malfunction light, do you have a solution for this?
You don't have to push the pistons back with a c clamp?
Great vid. Is it the same for the passenger side? Is it the same for the different trims Q5 3.0 and SQ5?
Yes it same on passenger side and same for different rims
Do you have a video with the same make and model car for the rear brakes?

This is for the rear brake pads on the same car.
Hey it’s my first time doing my pads and rotors but it seems that the two 21 mm bolt for the calliper won’t budge. I’ve been stuck on them for 2 hours. Any tips on how to remove it?
Bigger impact and maybe use a heat induction tool to get ghe bolt warm to give u rhe best chance
More power
I dare you to show you fixing the rears properly...
This is what I did, may not be the proper way, because it’s the pads only, and I didn’t have the scan tool for retracting the parking brake the proper way, but it might help? ua-cam.com/video/ROD94-ufg2o/v-deo.htmlsi=gGAtChUxDnC2ebST
