Acá en Panamá, en la ampliación del Canal (Tercer Juego de Esclusas), la compañía para la cual trabajé tenía 4 RH 120E. 2 en lado Pacífico e igual cantidad, en el Atlántico. Tuve oportunidad de operar una de ellas en un par de ocasiones, tenían 2 motores Caterpillar C18, si no me falla la memoria, cada uno daba 600 cv. Me llamaba la atención el sistema para arranque, por bypass para pre lubricación y que no te permite arrancar todos los días con el mismo motor. Un día arranca con el derecho, al día siguiente, el izquierdo. El sistema de auto engrase, muy efectivo, lo que sí había que estar subiendo los cuñetes con la grasa cada día de por medio. Se rellenaban con diésel, al medio día y a media noche, respectivamente. Cada recarga, de combustible era, de entre 400 a 600 galones. Se utilizaban para cargar los Caterpillar 777F. Nunca antes acá, había visto equipos tan grandes, como esas excavadoras.
