What are the advantages of a shovel excavator over the normal one? The arm on these can't reach as far, and it can't dig but only remove ground height or higher. Maybe these can have larger buckets? Regular excavators can still have massive buckets. Also sad to see it in such a poorly maintained state.

Where are the rams to open the jaw?? never saw any cylinders.
I was wondering that too I tried to quickly google it but couldn't find an explanation. My best guess is they are contained inside the back plate of the bucket itself. You can see hydraulic lines going down inside of the stick. However they did it it's an awesome piece of engineering.

@@MorbidVisions correct! bucket jaw cylinders are guarded and accessible from the back after removing the guards and driving out the cylinder pins
