My grandmas nursing/hospice home has the KSR signs with PL fourecents installed throughout and still being maintained today. interestingly the signs in her building without directionals being used are the block arrow, but the ones indicating a direction are chevron. My preschool had old day-brite signs with 2x A-type 25w bulbs. The coolest sign that I have ever seen was in my K-2 school and it was the Exitronix P702, direct view with two stacked prism divisors that give the EXIT letters a sparkly appearance in the dark.
The EZ-2 has always been one of my favorites too. Only thing I don't like though is the placement of the screws to take it of the bracket, where you have to have the heads in a certain position to get a screwdriver in there. But still a cool old emergency light. That other EZ-2 in your room was cool too. I've never seen Dual Lite with a non adjustable emergency light before. The EZ snaps series is also a classic series. I remember one of your old videos of it, I think it was Episode 19 of Exit Sign Setup, where you showcased it on the canope. Dual Lite has a lot of cool products. Great Video!
Thanks for your comment! Yep the EZ-2 is nice and I agree about the screws and positioning the heads to access them. And yeah the EZ-2 Plus is definitely an oddity. I should’ve mentioned it in this video, but it one of the few non adjustable emergency lights Dual-Lite has ever produced. And I remember that old video! The EZ Snaps are really great signs.
11:17 one time i was in a power outage and theres only one emergency light that has no combo and thats the only one in the building and i think that they should add more and every exit sign they have in the building is i think a generic combo accepting one which is generic im sure no combo and only runs on ac it kinda like the easy snap but it doesnt have ANY emergency lighting and i personally like the generic combo with green lighting and all the exit signs they have in the building are red and personally i dont the red i like the green exit signs
It's funny how the NZ exits are extremely thin, but our most popular emergency luminary is extremely fat. That's what I've realized just now. It's almost somewhat completely the opposite of the US. Nice units, I like them. I tend to like older and newer models, and also slimmer mdoels, too, such as these. As for exits, you've got an awesome collection. I just wonder why they are super beefy! But yeah, real nice units. PS: Another thing to point out is that NZ doesn't have exit sign light combos. Only separate devcies.
Thanks for your comment! Yeah it’s definitely interesting to learn about different styles of exit lighting from other countries. Most modern US exit signs are relatively thin compared to older models.
So I know there is a rare version of the EZ2 out there and it had a volt meter on it for when its in battery backup it will show the battery voltage, I'm guessing thats one of the units your on the hunt for?
Those aren’t rare, just uncommon. They were an option up until the EZ-2 was discontinued back in 2020. I actually have an EZ-2V (the one with the voltmeter that you mentioned) that was one of the last EZ-2’s made. I plan to show it off in a future episode with some other Dual-Lite units.
@@ExitSign250 Ah ok I was told they were made for only a few years after they were released, I may have been thinking about the 4V model before the 6v ones were a thing
I need to use my HQM again at some point! And if you’d like to see one of the many versions of a Quantum combo, I have an LHQM 2nd generation in Exit and Emergency Episode 15.
@@ExitSign250Yeah I remember seeing the HQM in your final setup before you rebooted the series. Such a great sign. I love the 2nd gen LHQM also. I have a 1st gen LHQM they are my favorite signs.
No, there was never a combo of the EZ-2 or the KSR. If you wanted a combo you would need to get it from the Exquisite series up until the LiteForms series was released.
The battery is functional yes. And I plan to have it featured in a future video along with some other EZ-2 variants. Almost like a sequel to this video.

Can we see?
@@Meepcity534 she died, but I got a picture of the signs
one model I remember seeing a lot as a kid is the Emergi-Lite LSM110-210LA Steel series before they introduced led emergency lights

Great video I love all the Dual dual Lite units. The generic combo looks cool.

I'd like to get one of those EZ-Snaps with battery backup at some point.
You should! But you will need to get a battery pack for it separately (model: FK-EP)
Nice setup
Cool setup

@WilmingtonOHProductions Yep. The 4V models were produced early on until 6V became the standard.
3:38 I seen these EZ-Snaps but in red lettering (KSR) and they are AC only
I own one
These look pretty cool
can you use a Lithonia lighting Quantum combo unit in the next Exit and Emergency or another episode
Yeah like the HQM that you have

Also didn’t they do a ez2 exit sign style combo?

Amazing
Nice KSR! I have one and it’s from 1992! And I will give it a battery backup option!
I also have 2 questions about your KSG. Does the battery work? And will it be in a setup soon?
The battery is functional yes. And I plan to have it featured in a future video along with some other EZ-2 variants. Almost like a sequel to this video.
I just got a brand new one of these dual lite ksar signs (older for 9.99)
Model is KSR (green model is KSG)
